Jose Mourinho's side did their best this season as you cannot do more than what you are capable of, but to be sincere, I am not impressed with them. There were times that they would have been so spectacular and you might have thought that they would sustain it, but will disappoint eventually. And yesterday's match was a good plus for them, many would say they were lucky as they scored the last goal in the dying minute. But that is football, you can't always score in the very first minutes, so it's still part of it.

And I see them playing in good competition next season (The two Europas and their main league). They could have done better though, let's see what the future holds for them.

The lack of AS Roma is that they are not brave enough to spend money on the transfer market, we can see that big clubs who want to be even more competitive will be very brave to spend a lot of money on the transfer market because they bring in 2-3 new players and replace them with the existing squad it is very possible to change the appearance of the club for the better, especially if the manager can read carefully the players who can contribute more to Roma, maybe funds are the problem, and for next season I am not quite sure that Roma will be able to perform better than season it just ended because Mourinho as a manager is no longer as special as when he was at Inter Milan and I think he's starting to lose his touch, significant changes are needed if AS Roma wants to become a strong contender for the title next season.

I completely agree with you, however, in past seasons, we have only seen the dominance of the top 4 teams in Serie A, namely Juventus, Milan, Roma and Inter, but now the trend is starting to change, Napoli and Lazio have emerged as unexpected teams,  Even though Napoli and Lazio were tough teams a few decades back, they were still left behind from the 4 big teams above, next season Serie A will definitely be even more competitive and we will see competition to get into the top 5 which is extraordinarily tight.

Serie-A has ended, this also become the end of Ibrahimovic career. Although last season he said he would not retire from football this season and next season, injuries seem to have made him take the decision to retire.
