Well Germany is a little fortunate considering the fact that they haven't had so many fatalities compared to Italy or Spain despite having a relatively high number of confirmed cases but i think the decision to start of training by some clubs has been rushed. Why not wait until things clear up first?
The cessation of the competition certainly makes a number of clubs also choose to take time off training, including the defending champion, Bayern Munchen. But after two weeks of stopping all activities, the club has just confirmed that Robert Lewandowski et al will return to hold training starting Monday, April 6, 2020. That was not without reason, because the club asked not to be attended by the audience. This is certainly based on the policy of the local authority. Confirmed! According the last news from espn Several Bundesliga clubs are set to return to training on Monday in small groups amid uncertainty when the league will resume. I expect the Bundesliga starting first before other professional leagues such as serie A Germany got a better situation

Watching this video from Reuters - 1st Bayern training - it´s obvious that there´s (of course) some work to do... Hitting the target wasnt easy for Müller (especially him) & co. https://twitter.com/Reuters/status/1247266579407974400?s=20

The German newspaper Bild just reported that the DFL plans to resume the current season either on the 2nd or 9th of May. The Kicker is also reporting on the matter. The currently schedule could look like this:(...) There is also another issue and that is why the models look for a June ending of the season: player contracts. Those player contracts always expire at June 30th, so if the season carries on into July etc., some more problems arise. This is of course manageable (by giving out short-term contracts), but probably not what the teams want to deal with. And some players already have new contracts with other teams beginning July 1st. Will some teams have to play without these players ? What happens in case of injury ? Lots of domino effects and things to consider.....

Here are some more Bundesliga statistics from the current season, since we don't have any ongoing matches right now: David Alaba is the player with the highest carry distance according to Opta statistics. He is followed by Dayot Upamecano, Joshua Kimmich, Archraf Hakimi and Amine Harit. David Alaba carried the ball a league-high 6.4 kilometres in the current Bundesliga campaign. [Opta]

So Hertha has signed, or will sign, Bruno Labbadia as new coach. Very good decision, because I can't stand Hertha. He will probably save Berlin from relegation this season, as that is what he is very good at, but longterm this will worsen the situation around the club. I have no idea what they are thinking signing such a washed up journeyman, when Berlin is a pretty tough environment for a coach. But anyway, I am happy with. Niko Kovac declined an offer btw, because he wanted more money.

Also as far as the contracts is concerned FIFA has solved this issue see the below statement: With many player contracts scheduled to expire at the end of June, it has been agreed those deals will automatically extend until whenever the season eventually ends - with new deals beginning before the 2020-21 season starts.

Germany seems to be the best country to handle this situaiton, they have always been known as teh machine people who are quite good at basically everything they do. At the end of the day they are the only people who knows what the situation is and we have no idea what the situation is, so if they think that it is quite normal to come back than there is nothing we can do but respect it.
We should also maybe let this happen to see what will happen? I mean I know that is not a favorite thing to say right now because there could be something bad in the end with a player get corona from another and spreading etc etc, however if that doesn't happen and they actually find a way to continue without any issue, that could be example to every other league in the world as well.

When I was in School I have one teacher and he spent few years in Germany he was really amazed by their skills because he give us many tips about many things and mostly talk about best things he obtain from them which works really great for us I am also very inspired by them I am feeling if they are doing something good then surely they can manage all things as they are plaing because they have ability and they are more then machines for world.

Far from the best, but better than we thought. Nations in Europe have good health facilities and very good public health systems so that their mean ages are high. Unfortunately, after what we saw from the Italy and Spain's total death tolls associated with COVID-19 (not solely becaused of it), it is a big surprise to see what Germany has done by now. High infected cases, as many other neighbor nations but total death tolls are much lower and under very good control. It is not only come from the better health systems in general, but also come from the Germany's high available capacity for ICUs. Social distancing only shows its impact very later weeks of the outbreak in all nations. We can call Germany is a very good case study and natural experiment of massive testing. The other one is South Korea, they are doing their works so well to contain the virus too.

For all the stats fans, I just found some new statistics: WhoScored.com just released the "Bundesliga Team of the Season so far - 16th August 2019 - 11th March 2020". What do you guys think? Who is missing? In my opinion David Alaba and Manuel Neuer should also be in the squad, but yea their stats were a little lower. Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1249338984452493316

Will they grow up to become real new stars in Bundesliga or only one-season phenomenon? We will have answer at the end of next season or at least after the first half of next season? I agree with you about David Alaba but I don't agree with you on Manuel Neuer. His form has decreased too much recent seasons.

I agree with you about David Alaba but I don't agree with you on Manuel Neuer. His form has decreased too much recent seasons. bullrun2020bro would probably like to have everything filled up with Bayern players - While these are arguably the best players in Bundesliga this season (well, that Trimmel guy......), it's no surprise, because these are in fact the most talented/gifted players and they also earn the highest. So naturally and expectedly they make the top of the list. They should do a list where they also set the player wages into relation. More interesting would be a list with the most important players for each club. Like for example Kostic is extremely important for Frankfurt, Vasiliadis for Paderborn, Günther for Freiburg, Klaasen for Bremen, Stöger for Düsseldorf etc. These are more often than not the unsung heroes, while other players take the spotlight.

I don't get your argument concerning Manuel Neuer. These statistics are about the current season, not about any of the past seasons. Or would you also say Lewandowski doesn't belong on the list, because when he played in Poland a few years ago he only scored 5 goals. Manuel Neuer has only conceded 26 goals in 25 appearances this season. In addition to that in 10 games the opponent team wasn't able to score at all. Only Péter Gulácsi has comparable stats this season. So if you don't want to put Neuer on the list, that's fine, but Yann Sommer definitely shouldn't be there. Source: https://www.transfermarkt.de/1-bundesliga/weisseWeste/wettbewerb/L1/saison_id/2019/plus/1
bullrun2020bro would probably like to have everything filled up with Bayern players Add Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz's and you are right, I guess.

~snip I don't agree with you on Manuel Neuer. His form has decreased too much recent seasons.
I think that is reality and not only at the club level but also for the national team. Neur is 34 years old and has decreased performance. I think he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and his work in the Bundesliga deserves to be regarded as the club is living legend. I think Munchen must have chosen the best candidate to replace his current goalkeeper position. Yann Sommer seems better suited to be a candidate in the Bundesliga goalkeeper list. He has great statistics for this season.

I agree Sommer not belonging there, since he is not that good as I wrote before. But really this is apples and oranges, since statistics about keeping a clean sheet is not all about the goalkeeper. He lives very much from good defenders and even tactics. Put any Bundesliga keeper in the Bayern goal and he will top3 that list. Put Neuer between the posts in Paderborn and he will make the bottom of that list (maybe midfield ). Bayern are just more likely to keep a clean sheet, because they are superior in every regard. The best keeper should be determined according to other factors, which are very hard to measure. But Neuer is still the best in Bundesliga imo^^ I am surprised to see Casteels (Wolfsburg) barely making the Top10, because Wolfsburg is the most under-ish team in Bundesliga.

It looks like no decision by the DFL will be made this week. The DFL just postponed their meeting, originally scheduled for this Friday to Thursday next week. I can't wait for the outcome of the meeting tbh. Let's see if they are really going to announce to resume the league on the 9th of May. Chancellor Merkel and the federal states agreed in the Corona crisis to extend contact restrictions Major events will remain prohibited nationwide until 31 August. It is up to the individual federal states to decide from what size events are prohibited. According to the decisions, soccer matches also fall under the category of major events that cannot take place in the coming months.

I read the news today and I thought that Bundesliga is going to start again. I thought that their decision is to take place without spectators which is also hard for Germans as they love going to the stadiums and watch football. Do we have to wait for a further notice?

It is up to the individual federal states to decide from what size events are prohibited. According to the decisions, soccer matches also fall under the category of major events that cannot take place in the coming months.
The yesterdays decision doesn't mean that there are no matches at all until August 31th. All major events are forbidden, that's correct, but there is the possibility of matches played behind closed doors. I am confident that those will come rather sooner than later. If there won't be any matches until August 31th most Bundesliga clubs will have a huge financial problem. The German politicians also announced, that sport events were no specific topic on the yesterdays meeting. Talks about matches behind closed doors are expected to take place on April 30th. The German newspaper "Kicker" reported on the topic: ... Großveranstaltungen in Deutschland sollen bis zum 31. August untersagt bleiben.
