match by match, and Bavarian giant will take the title this season, seems that much in Dortmund could be decision maker, especially if Bayern win that match, then it is hard to expect that Dortmund can be back in the battle, will see, lets see Leverkusen tomorrow

I thought something exceptional would be happened. In the way Bayern dominated the whole match, Berlin had no chance to resist. However, Berlin was in a very defensive mood, so that they had to digest only 2 goals . With this victory, Bayern is close to winning the title. I'm looking forward to the game of Bayern vs Dortmund, feeling excited to watch that game.

The match tomorrow will be also intresting about Bremen and Leverkusen and my bet is on Leverkusen.

They increased it to five for sure. Both teams in first match today made 5 substitutions. Interestingly Bayern made only 3, maybe they didn't get the memo or they feel they are strong enough to give a bit of the handicap to opposition.

It's half time at Union Berlin and Bayern Munich are ahead by a lone goal, thanks to the penalty converted by Lewandowski. Bayern were dominant all through the first 45 minutes as you'd expect but they look really rusty and not up to their usual best. Muller looks sharp and brilliant but Lewandowski has been the exactly opposite so far, mostly missing and out of position, Alphonso has picked up his impressive performance from where he stopped before the break, he's movement on the ball is superb! It's should be an easy win for Bayern from here on, imo.

BTW did anyone watch the Bayern's goal ruled out for offside, was that the wrong or right call by the VAR ?

Both of their wing backs Davies and Pavard played well. I really hope that Pavard's kick from the outside of the box got in, would remind me on his crazy goal in World Cup. I agree with you, they should be able to scored more if they played bit neater and more patient.

I'm quite confused too about that ruled out goal, find nothing wrong since both players are on same line. Though if Mueller didn't touch the ball it still went in. Another thing that caught my attention is Bayern that just decided to use 3 out of 5 substitution.

Even though there is one remaining match for this gameweek, overall I think Bundesliga running well. Great works for those who have tried to bring it back.

haha yeah. Still I was expecting a win with a slightly bigger margin say 4-0 but anyway a win is a win and that sails them further ahead with the 4 point gap on the table. That was an easy win for them.

VAR is still out there. In yesterday's match, RB Leipzig vs Freiburg, Freiburg's scored the second in extra time but thegoal was ruled off by VAR due to offside.

I just realized that the Bundesliga has started again because I was reading the score of Union Berlin 0-2 Bayern Munchen. after I searched the internet for the match I did not find it.
I was confused about what league the score was, and in the end I saw that in this thread there had been a lot of talk about Bundesliga matches.

with the start of one of Europe's Top Leagues will be good news for the players themselves and for the club fans who always enjoy football matches.

Oh even here in Italy they are talking about increasing the number of exchanges to 5 and I am happy to see that other countries have adopted the change.
It will soon be really hot with peaks of 35 degrees and playing 3 matches a week will not be easy at all (always if they start again).
Here in Italy, they are also talking about whether to resume with the Var or not.
Italy was one of the first countries to propose the VAR and for the next year, they were thinking of changing it in an innovative way.
They were thinking of bringing all the VAR rooms into a single room I don't know if in Rome or Milan and putting them online with the various stadiums to reduce costs I think, a sort of centralized VAR room, obviously the var monitor would still be available at the stadium for the referee in case of a call.

They are maybe starting with this after COVID.

Yep, it's five substitutions, but you still only have 3 slots for this. So you need to go 2-2-1 or 1-1-3 or whatever with them or you will lose the remaining ones. If you go 1-1-1, then you forfeited two more possible substitutions. They made it this way, to not give any team the possibility to run out the clock too much, by just substituting all the time in the final minutes (I think the clock should be stopped for substitutions after 80+ minutes anyway, but well, I have a lot of other changes to the rule book in my mind ).

That is right with the five substitutions, but they can only make three substitutions during the playtime. The other two substitutions can be only made during the half-time break.

The draws and Leiptig cost me some money too.
Sadly in the second league Nuernberg has lost there Match , was expecting that they win and lost also some money on them .
Hopefully tomorrow Leverkusen will win so i get a little bit back on it .

I don't know exactly what the funniest story of the weekend was, it's either Schalke's defeat or those two fans, who climbed a 12 meter long tree to watch the FC Bayern - Union Berlin game.

It is a huge game for Bayer, with Leipzig drawing they can close the gap to CL qualification to a single point with a win today.

Since Werder needs points to get out of relegation zone, it means both teams need to start attacking from the beginning. Mainz is a huge 9 points ahead and this might be one of the last chances for Werder to keep hopes of staying in the league.

Prefer to stay cautious for the first games, i would say 1 goal difference for Leverkusen even if I am pretty sure it can do better but who knows. Leipzig already failed us!

it is a huge game for Leverkusen, and i see them on the third spot, prior to M'Gladbach and Leipzig, they had a good run until corona, but now they have to confirm it and get the CL qualification, will be interesting tonight, Werder was out of form, far in relegation zone, pity for them, which are founder team of Bundesliga in 1963 and all time member since 1981 (they had just one season in 2.Bundesliga 1980-1981)

also, it is good to note that Werder match with M'Gladbach in 1971 was historic, since they broke the wooden post, while trying to score, which lead to the fact that we now have aluminium post on Stadiums

After checking the odds, I placed a straight Bayer to win bet. They really have enough quality and Bellarabi and Bailey are amongst the most dangerous counterattacking players in the league.
Combined with the fact that Werder needs to attack, it seemed a great bet for the odds given (1.81 with the multiplier).

Maybe I will play over goals live if there will be no goals after 30 minutes or so, when the odds improve a bit.

Leverkusen is going to win their game as well.
All teams seem to be refreshed now that the leagues has started again. And as this is a fact, the strong teams are having an advantage over the weaker ones.
