Actually I'm pretty sure everyone wants to be a champion if you say about it but sometimes this desire is difficult to carry out when their resources are inadequate.

As I said, they didn't want to gamble on an uncertain title race so they looked for other alternatives to make this profitable for the club and the path they chose was to sign good young players and sell them at a high price.

I don't think Dartund would be interested in selling Bellingham right now. Bellingham has talented young players. He is playing well enough. But he is not yet experienced enough. He is definitely a promising young player. But Bellingham has yet to prove his ability like Haaland. So now Dortmund won't gain much by selling Bellingham. However, Dortmund may decide to sell Bellingham if Liverpool or Real Madrid offer a large sum of money. But we still don't know for sure how much money Liverpool or Madrid will offer for Bellingham.

I wouldn't say Haaland joined Manchester City just for wages. Apart from Manchester City, several other teams offered huge wages to Haaland. But even then, Haaland chose Manchester City. Because it was easy for Haaland to adapt himself to Manchester City's gameplay. Haaland's father was also a Manchester City player. So maybe Haaland was interested in playing with this team.

However, Haaland's performance at Manchester City has impressed everyone. He has consistently continued his excellent performance. And scoring a lot of goals. And barring a major injury, youngster Haaland will be the Premier League's top scorer this season.

Dortmund will not be able to hold Bellingham back in the club because the young player is doing extremely well and there are many eyes on him.
