It as Union Berlin were never strong,  they were just winning their games by luck. So astonished to see Union drop to the fifth position,  which means they might likely drop below their current position if they are not able to  win their remaining games.

There is nothing to be surprised at for Union Berlin if, after the world cup, Union Berlin has not been able to fix all the weaknesses in the team. In the Bundesliga the team that will do very well is Bayern Munich and this season there is no other team that can be called strong other than people who are already famous at their young age.

In the end, a busy schedule of matches will be difficult for them to win, which makes it like De Javu to Atalanta in Serie A last season.
Now for Union it's been very difficult after the start of the season they did well. I personally feel they have to choose now whether they want to focus on the bundesliga or indeed focus on the play-off phase in the Europa League because it's quite clear that their play-off phase is also quite tough.

Berlin had a very enviable start. I don't know what might have cause their decline in performance but if they can fix it up the will have a more dominating season. They were able to defeat Dortmund and draw Bayern i was thinking that will be enough motivation to keep the performance high but lost with big margin to SC Freiburg and Leverkusen. A work on their motivation can take them back up

The performance at which teams showcase in the beginning of season won't always remain the same. Some teams performs better in the beginning of the season and as the season keeps going they find it difficult to maintain their good performance while some other team starts poor in the beginning of the season and later on improve in performance.

got to think about it, now that Bayern Munich is on the top of the standings they will surely rest there, and likely if Bayern Munich has a large points interval with the other team, their performance will suddenly decline, I think they are doing this just to save some players from injuries or saving them if a certain crucial game arise and will be needing the strength of the team with those crucial games needed,
