Damn, but I didn't think Freiburg would ever come this close again to the top after tasting the heights of Bundesliga for some period. And BVB can even clamber into second place temporarily on goal difference if they win... not to leave the best for last with Union now wondering if they can invite destiny back into their hands with a win tomorrow.

Everyone can thank Gladbach for making Bayern their whipping boys (the early red of course helped a lot) but it's been so nice betting on this tie every time and counting the wins. Long live Gladbach!

Thank God I had problems with the VPN all day and decided to skip today - otherwise I would definitely bet on Bayern (I assumed that the tournament situation would force them to win by a large margin).
Now Dortmund is bound to seize the opportunity and so 1.34 on their victory against Hertha is an easy choice?

The red card in the 7th minute of the game destabilized a smaller team, but not Bayern, at least so I told myself. And then came the first goal from Borussia M'gladbach, which I thought would have made them more defensive, but they weren't. Their second goal, which put them ahead, gave them the morale to fight and hold off Bayern, but I wonder why they couldn't or didn't sustain the tempo. Then the third goal in the final hours was just magnificent. The red card gave them the  early advantage.

Red card received by Bayern Munich's defender Upamecano in the 8th minute made the match change drastically because  had to play with 10 players from the beginning match. Losing player on defensive are most crucial for Bayern Munich although Joao Cancelo back up for substitute Thomas Muller and seems not effective after first goals conceded on 13th minutes.

I wonder with Bayern Munich on the top position standing will take by Union Berlin with 2 points left and tomorrow games against with weakness and relegation zone team Schalke, become another time for Bayern Munich if Union Berlin win tomorrow for dropping to 2nd standing position and left 13 games later will Bayern Munich have consistency performance?

It is extremely weird to me, that somehow Bayern Munich is always having a very hard time when they are playing against Borussia Mönchengladbach. I knew about those statistics before the match today started but this time i was really sure that Bayern would win the match today. Bayern had a great momentum before the match with their totally deserved win against PSG in the Champions League this tuesday, while Gladbach had some rough weeks in the past.
I also have to say though, that today Bayern was very unlucky. I watched multiple replays and different angles but for me the red card against Upamecano is still a total joke and the fact that the video referee did not even tell the ref to watch the footage about that scene is just a joke.

I'm not surprised by the result of the game, because M Gladbach is Bayern Munich's biggest opponent, because it's the only team that has more wins against Bayern Munich. In the 31 matches played by Mönchengladbach vs Bayern Munich, Gladbach has 12 wins, and Bayern Munich has 10 wins, while 9 matches have been draws. this always happens, every time Bayern Munich meets Galdbach, it always loses or draws. But what I'm surprised is that Galdbach really had to fight against the relegation team.

Gladbach leads 3-1 right now. Gladbach is going to win that's for sure. But my guess was that the match would be a draw. The Munich side always has a bit of bad luck against Gladbach. The Bayern Munich team has not won even one of the last 5 matches against Gladbach. So in today's match, my guess is that the match will be a draw. However, Munich's performance was very poor. After Dayot Upamecano received a red card in the 8th minute, Munich's defense became even weaker. And because of the poor defense, the Munich team lost today. However, Bayern Munich will soon lose the top spot in the table. And the Bundesliga will become competitive again.

I couldn't believe this until I saw with my own eyes that Gladbach won the game against Bayern Munich because what we remember in Bundesliga Bayern Munich was the only team people were hoping to see on the top of the table in the german league but right now they lost the game on a 2-3 result and this could be even worst for Bayern Munich today, I guess they should start thinking about doing some changes in the future for the next season otherwise and especially by this defensive power they are going to have problems.

Losing players early in the first half was clearly detrimental to Bayern even though they were strong. But on the other hand, actually, if you look at the statistics for their last few matches, they have always been like this when facing Gladbach, especially if you look at them last season, their condition was even worse.
Bayern are still top of the table in this regard but maybe we will see something new if Union can win in the upcoming game.

Seeing that their opponent is Schalke, it is very likely that 3 points will be won. At least this is consolation in conditions where it is quite certain who will be the champion but with Union being in first place at this time it is clear that this will be a differentiator from the previous season because if you think about the previous half of the season when Bayern were at the top no one could even touch but this time seems different.

Schalke's performance has been very poor this season. They have scored only 12 points in 20 matches. However, their performance in the last three matches was quite good. They share points with Gladbach, Wolfsburg and Koln. If Schlake can win 3/4 out matches in a row then they have a chance to get out of the relegation zone.

I am not surprised that Bayern Munich lost against Gladbach. The Munich team is always weak against Gladbach. In the last several matches, I have seen that the Munich team is not able to play well against Gladbach. Also in this match, the performance of Munich players was not as good as expected. Things are getting tough again for Munich at the top of the points table.

Bochum vs Freiburg is quite entertaining, I don't think there will be many goals in this match and a 0-2 win for Freiburg is enough to secure an additional 3 points. With this result, Freiburg is back in the top 4 of the standings and will compete with other teams who now have at least the same distance. This is a great opportunity for Union Berlin to return to the top of the standings as they did at the start of the season. I don't understand what's wrong with Bayern Munich, because as you said they did well and won when they were in the Champions League against stronger opponents, but again this is football which will show very different results even though the two teams have quite a difference conspicuous.
With Schalke's current condition, Union Berlin should not have many problems when facing a team at the bottom of the standings.

I agree with you 100%! Bayern Munich-Gladbach was an intense match. Bayern has always hated Monchengladbach, and their style makes it difficult to beat them. I'm curious why Bayern has trouble beating them every season. Bayern's situation was worsened by Upamecano's early red card.
