I agree that Leverkusen is not a "bad" team but that doesn't change the fact that Bayern is the best team or at least should have been the best team. In a league situation where they lost the leadership due to this loss, you have to agree that they needed a win, doesn't matter who it was against, it could have been dortmund, leverkusen or schalke, doesn't matter who it is against but they needed a win.

Sometimes you lose even when the leadership is at stake, just last week Dortmund got a draw against Schalke, the worst team in the league. Bayern Munich be disappointed with their yesterday result because that result means that they will have to win while Dortmund lose to move back to second spot which I think isn't gonna be easy because of Borussia Dortmund's  lesser number of matches to play after they were eliminated the Europe's elite club competition.

Fatigue is gonna hit  Bayern players soon as a result of nemerous matches they've played this season including FIFA World Cup matches and that will be an added advantage to the Dortmund side. Frankfurt could come from behind and threaten Leipzig and Freiburg right now.  There is still a difference of 5 points between them, but that shouldn't give any comfort.  If Frankfurt wants to take part in the Champions league, it must at least finish in the top 4 places.  That's why I'm sure the champions league race will be more exciting.

Well looking at the statistics, it was a pretty even game between those two teams. Bayern is was leading in terms of ball control and completed passes, but that is the case in almost any game where Bayern is involved and those stats alone do not mean much. In terms of shots and shots on target both teams were almost completely equal. Regardless of the penalty goal there, actually I think it is appropriate or not when it has been legalized by the referee, then it is still a goal and the fact of this match is that Leverkusen won even though it was from 2 penalty goals. I wonder why everyone believe in Bayern Munich so much because of the past glory they have enjoyed in the League. On the chances of Dortmund staying as league leaders, I think it's so high than Bayern Munich winning the League this season,  Dortmund has not been consistent with winning against both small clubs and big teams but looking at the performance of Bayern Munich this season, I think they can only be rated high in the Champions League but in their local League, they have been on and off in teams of good performance and form.


There is a possibility of Dortmund dropping points but the performance of Bayern Munich in their last game doesn't show any good sign for a team that is pushing for the League, they had good opportunities to score goals but they were only able to convert just one goal and at the end they got a dramatic defeat from a penalty that was given by the VAR.  This season is really interesting in the League because it has brought about competition in the League on like when Bayern Munich will be winning the League with 20 to 30 points difference.

The reason why you think Bayern Munich didn't perform well during this season is basically that we always see Bayern Munich as the first and only great team in Bundesliga and we expect to see Bayern Munich winning the title all the time in any season while for any team there are good and bad days and even for Bayern Munich wit so much investment they had in their team however they are still in the second pale of the table with a little space with Dortmund and the season is not over yet.
