That is big news I have to say as Hans-Joachim Watzke has a long and profound history to look back on with Borussia Dortmund. They went through thick and thin and the most literal sense. They were almost bankrupt, or put in other words, they were bankrupt more or less and Watzke had to restructure them financially in essentially all areas. He did that successfully and Borussia Dortmund was again able to look forward to a bright future. And that is what happened eventually when they decided to sign Klopp and they won the domestic league title, the DFB Cup and then participated in the Champions League final and lost it 1-2 against Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich is also still one game behind Leverkusen so the gap in points seen now is four points, but if Bayern Munich's matches are the same as Leverkusen's number of matches and Munich can win. So the point gap between the two is just one, not four points, unless Munich cannot win in its 16th match in the Bundesliga. Apart from that, Leverkusen this season only competed in the European League apart from the Bundesliga, not in the Champions League like Munich. So the pressure these two teams have is certainly very different even though they often look the same in the Bundesliga.

There is no guarantee that Leverkusen will become champions, nor is there a guarantee that Bayern Munich will be able to defend the title they have won for more than a decade, yes everything is still very possible. I do not see Leverkusen as a title contender that will give up easily due to their dedication in all competitions. I knew him from the Galaxy 11 ad that Samsung did way back in probably 2013. He was the coach of that team in the animated short film.  He was old, 78. He lived a good life as a football professional.  He should be respected and remembered throughout the whole football history. My condolences, the death might not be very unexpected as he was 78, however it still is not a bit less sad. And of course, him winning the Ballon D'or as a defender twice is most probably never going to happen again. especially the way football is shaping up to be in the future. He was a great mind for football as well.

Just a few months at Union Berlin doesn't seem to have made Leonardo Bonucci happy and he even had an argument with previous coach Urs Fischer because he didn't get proper playing minutes. So, when you combine those two together, you do get a great manager, but when they are facing each other, I believe both have their advantages and disadvantages. I believe that we are not going to end up with anything that would get better, it should not be all that confusing, it should be quite the normal situation and do better in time.
