It would be great for me, since i need 2 PC's. Let's hope 1 BTC will bring us more value then 2015.
But getting 1 BTC to 1 PC will be a very optimistic standard. I would be happy with a 600USD value, since that was the moment where i stepped in and only saw it go downwards.. except for the last few months.

The bear market has lasted long enough. I predict 2016 is the year where bitcoin finally breaks through, both in price and in mainstream adoption.
The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.
I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.
In fact, the fork issue is a very sensible one! It will affect, and it is suppose to work over the bitcoin transactions scalability. This is a very important issue that will decide the future of BTC

There are quite a few new start-ups established in 2015. They can show some of their products in 2016 after one year development. The halving can also push the price higher.

I think still need a lot of time for bitcoin to grow and gain trust from world wide normal people. As of now only gamblers are using these coins more.

If Bitcoin's price remains as it is or it goes higher, then we could expect a good year for Bitcoin to shine in 2016. Maybe the marketcap would increase and development as well, since block size issue has not been solved yet. I will wait until next year and see how good it would go for Bitcoin.

I hope so that 2016 is the year of BTC. So that I can buy a awesome PC with my BTC.
Do it! But, you have to earn much Bitcoin now while the price not too high. I think, 1 BTC is enough for an "awesome" PC. 1 BTC now is worth around $320 and you can buy for it only 1 part of awesome PC: for example GeForce GTX 970. - that is only if you find a good deal online.
You need to understand that low bitcoin price is also the effect of progressing bitcoin adoption among merchants, who after receiving BTC, sell it immediately for FIAT in 95% cases.

I think we need more time. For 2016 is still too fast. Give it at least 3 or 4 more years.
The problem is not with the people, but with the regulation of the government.
So if regulation about bitcoin is clear, i think in 3 or 4 more years more people will using bitcoin.

We don't really want it going down anymore technically. We want it to keep going up I am assuming at least most people do. Going down causes problems whether or not Bitcoin will actually make it

2016 will be the most exciting year for BTC, since 2013.
-We will have the blocksize debate finally resolved. -Halving in summer -Federal reserve pretending to raise rates -More 0% interest rates in Europe -More capital controls for fiat.[/li][/list]
All ways pointing towards bitcoin, so we shall see.

Perhaps when the next halving comes, Bitcoin's price would increase substantially, thus making it an interesting commodity for investors to dive in and reap the rewards. That is just my opinion. I could be wrong, though.

I could be wrong, though. That would drive up the price even more. It would be a chain reaction. However most investors want to invest in startups since they have a greater yield and that give a somewhat safety net for the investors mind. Investors have peace of mind when there is actually people behind their investments and work hard to bring profits to the investors. However 2016 is seen globally as a year of change. A lot of spectacular stuff will be happening. Bitcoin would be just the tip of the iceberg.

Yes the block halting should be rather interesting. Still quite a ways away, it should make the price go up as demand will become more and more stiff but you just never know with Bitcoin what will happen!

Why does everyone think the reward halving will have a big effect on price? Everyone is aware of it, it should already be priced in to the current price give or take the time value of money. If anything all those holding coins purely to speculate will freak out after the price doesn't move and create a big sell off.
Long term I think things will continue to trend upwards. The more I learn about bitcoin the less I think the banks can do anything but build on top of it. The probability of them creating anything that competes seems incredibly small and I'm not worried.
