2016, the year AFTER/BEFORE the year of bitcoin? I thought 2013, 2014 and 2015 were "The Year(s) of bitcoin"?

This year will be the best of it. We will achieve so much in this year and the price will probably go up a lot more than ever before.

I believe any year would be a good year for bitcoin. As long as it keeps on growing the way that it has been, it will become a good year. Halving is coming up this year which will probably happen near the summer, so this will probably be one of the biggest year for bitcoin.

Yes that is why I am holding my bitcoin.
Just some of it I think we will see a rocket in the sky this year. The most interesting thing is after halving we will see what will happen to bitcoin.

I am really hoping that this year will be awesome as in 2015. It was not a good start but at the end we came at 400 dollars in 2015. For this year I am hoping at 800 dollars. And that can be stable.

Despite the "nominal" price of bitcoin, bitcoin is here to stay. In my opinion 2016 will be another great year for Bitcoin.

Well, in the meanwhile I believe that Bitcoin will break through in 2016. The Chinese economic crisis will be the igniter for this.
It's already happening, the stock market in China is going down the drain, and Bitcoin has been up 30 dollars since I checked it a couple of days ago. I remember this happened exactly the same when China started raising their capital control levels, after the XT trolls did some damage to the price, the price started claiming up again as China collapsed. Great stuff.

2016 will be the year that bitcoin dies. Why?
The average punter has no chance of installing bitcoin software. I haven't run bitcoind for a year, (not strictly true) but it is both impossible to keep up on old hardware, and to install bitcoind to snything less than a bleeding edge system.
If you are a miner or a bank, fine. Nobody else will run bitcoin at the end of 2016.

The average joe isn't gonna go into mining....they will setup bitcoin accounts just like they do paypal (coinbase super easy). These influx of new users/money will drive the price of BTC UP

i am sure we will reach $1000 again, but i hope that the rise to $1000 will be slow and stable. then we can maintain that price level. if a pump causes the price to go that high, we will see the price come back down to previous levels. a steady growth is the best growth possible.

In my opinion every year is the year of bitcoin because every day there is a greater number of bitcoiners and a stronger economy around this currency. Of course it is impossible to know what will occur with the Bitcoin in the long run, but I hope we all be there to enjoy the expected richness.

Da fuck are you talking about? I'm a punter and I use my phone as a wallet and it's easy. There's going to be miners and such for the foreseeable future, so I'm not worried about that in the least. I think you're trolling. Are you trolling?

He's talking about running a full wallet with the block chain and node etc. I never have and I'm sure most here haven't either. That's not a metric for imminent death by any means.

I'm not sure, but with the price of Bitcoin increases since the beginning 2016, 2016 might be the year of Bitcoin or not.
