I'm all up for this year of Bitcoin thing. I think it wouldn't actually hurt to get your hopes this high up with Bitcoins.  Every time I think including the bitcoin bitcoin because every time they deliver ease of interaction. But this may be a matter of bitcoin prices going down and I do not know when it will increase again but then there comes a time in the near future. |

yes and it's normally i guess because people very like to speculate bitcoin price and i think that predictions thread is good for future because some of them has very correct predictions and we can use it for reference during bitcoin trading |

I don't get it. What's the sense of that comment? Yes blockchain tech might reduce banks inside costs.But that doesn't mean they won't become obsolete.This will just give them a few more years to survive. FinTechs are becoming a serious competition to the banks.And crypto currencies will have a major impact and disrupt many companies. Reducing costs but not giving customers any advantages won't change anything for the banks. They are dinosaurs!And they business models will be soon out of date.They can regulate whatever they want with help of government. Many of them will disappear!Like Blockbuster, like Kodak! |

personally I wouldn't say 2016 is bitcoins year. I think this year is just a building phase as everyday bitcoin gets more popular. Maybe 2017 it'll get more pricey but even then I think that'll be at the end of 2017.

I think so, because as you can see. now the price of bitcoin keep increase on this week and i hope it reach up to 450+ dollars. so yeah, i think 2016 is the year of bitcoin.

i think 2016 will be a good year for bitcoin use and worldwide adoption, news coverage already increasing and many people using BTC and increased places actually accepting it, because adoption of bitcoin is spreading with each passing day, plus the requirement payment solution for online earnings and online shopping is also increasing with each passing day. And as bitcoin is invented and selected as digital currency and the world is on the technical development track with a highest speed, so 2016 will be the year of bitcoin.

yeah, most of the speculations here are becoming true now.. the price rise is now on going, might be an indication that it would really go high during halving, and might be going to be stable too when the the block size issue is resolved.. Yes we wait for the next few months whether the increase is gradual and slightly decline. If you tend to go up it means that bitcoin is progressing. I believe bitcoin will definitely increase and it will greatly benefit many people. |

We may getting into another buble the same way it hapened at 1000 dollars value,the speculation will try to pump bitcoin,the thing is after halving happens what will happen to bitcoin value.

You are probably right, the start of 2016 was a big bang, with price rise and suppressed by drama and scam, but it doesn't affect the bitcoin that much, and it is really getting popular.. |

The halving is ahead. It will have very likely a positive impact on Bitcoin price, although most is already priced in. But you need to consider that the higher the price the more attracting is it to invest into Bitcoin, even for people or investors who have not been interested into Bitcoin so far. congratulation! your prediction is right so far, but we still don't know what happen in the next few months left. hope the price is stabil or rise

It is a little off topic. It do not fully agree with you. Many do Bitcoin know by the term Bitcoin, but they do not really know what it is. I talked to many people about Bitcoin (and many of them were technical ethusiasts) and most did not know more about Bitcoin then the name. It is similar like a famous person. Almost every know it's name and how it look, but only a few knows the birthday, the CV and so on. personally I wouldn't say 2016 is bitcoins year. I think this year is just a building phase as everyday bitcoin gets more popular. Maybe 2017 it'll get more pricey but even then I think that'll be at the end of 2017.
