Well a lot is happening now and not for the good in my opinion.
We've got the Hearn Gate. Decentralization.
In a way the future of bitcoin is at stake. I really hope some things will change now.

When the mine ends we will see what will be done with bitcoin and about the taxes and the value ,something must be done to keep bitcoin growing in number instead being reduced year by year even being a portion of all we are getting less coins avaible year by year paying the taxes.

still plenty of time for bitcoin to grow and become better. but for the first quartal of this year it looks like bitcoin is still stagnant at $ 400 $ -500. This year is not the year bitcoin but his began to introduce themselves to a wider market.

Take a look at the overall volume on all crypto markets. This year will be full of speculation and plenty of Chinese gamblers trying to make a quick buck.

Agree with this sentiment. Look at Ethereum's recent rise, heck even Doge is back to the 90's. If nothing else, this year will be full of alt pump and dumps, plenty of opportunity to grow you BTC stash..

2016 for me is the year of big expectations. 2015 was a great one, but I hope that real popularisation is going to be implemented in the upcoming years. The earlier - the better for us, for the whole society and the price. For me, the great news was that some banks in my country (and in some others) are displaying the price side-by-side to USD and EURO. This is what I was expecting for so long.  Wink

we have hope in halving in 2016, so I really hope a lot that could affect the price after it happened

Surely it will happen I am sure of it. Bitcoin will experience price increases in the middle of next year.
We wait for it to happen and I think bitcoin already started rising prices.

I'm sure it will affect the bitcoin price after it happened. The problem is, is the bitcoin price will increase so high or not. as you can see, the bitcoin price now not stable.

Obviously when the supply is getting reduced, price needs to go up. So, bitcoin is no exception for this basic rule. I do not have any doubt that bitcoin prices will go high around the event of block reward halving. I believe bitcoin prices will test $2000 just due to halving consequences.

I like your optimism, $2,000 would be nice for a lot of us. The question then becomes, do I sell some or continue to hold. In any event, it looks like the current projection of the halving is July 16, 2016 so we don't have too much longer to speculate. I would think the price will make several large movements in both direction leading up to the event.

Yes I think so. Because Bitcoin grows. And more people get to know more about bitcoin.
But perhaps it may be that it does later in 2017 will be even better.

these days it looks like that 2016 is going to be alternative cryptocurrencies year instead of bitcoin. or at least it is going to be this way until the halving.

So BTC will be $800 after the halving? That's what it needs to be be if the rewards are cut in half.
