2016, The Year of Bitcoin?

Yeah, it would be good for bitcoin to be more known, but not too much - governments have already started to take notice, and in Europe are trying to regulate it.

Yes now many are supporting bitcoin both of the people and local governments of each country.
It was very good for the development of bitcoin in this year.

governments of each country are supporting bitcoin? from all the governments of the wealthy countries, name one that does support bitcoin... i think you mean the blockchain.

Yeah blockchain is getting some recognition indeed.
But bitcoin? Not so much!

And I can understand. Why would a government support bitcoin? It's a way for population to become independant and ignore taxes. I don't see the point for a government to help bitcoin adoption ^^

There are plenty of reasons to be excited about 2016, The block halving is near meaning most probably the price will move favorably at least in my opinion, allot of interesting bitcoin project are opening and getting crowdfunding, also media coverage and public adoption is increasing.

Late December/early January people were saying that the halving was already priced in yet the price fell. There is just no way to know for sure. I speculate that there will be some artificial pressure to keep the price profitable but profit taking should also play a role. Maybe we will see miners getting unplugged.

For now the banks win but i think once the whole world sees the possibilities you can achieve with bitcoins it will explode with people using it more.

I'd rather say, that new generation of mining gear will compensate the reward loss. But if you will not make ROI till halving, you probably will be screwed up.

If no one would panic, or if everyone would conserve and keep their bitcoin as it is and won't convert it to fiat, then there's a big possibility that price would skyrocket,

Prices skyrocketed may also be a factor of the quality of the bitcoin itself. Many are adopting bitcoin it would enhance the quality of bitcoin.
Maybe cashing bitcoin no connection or influence the price of bitcoin.

We need not to worry about price which is struck below $400. It's really bitcoin price which simply can fly in one or two

The price isn't a big problem and the actual price isn't bad as well, and i think if it will going up 500$ soon that's will encourage more people to start using Bitcoin, supporting and advertising it as well

You are right, new money flow into bitcoin ecosystem confirming that bitcoin is more attractive among investors. I guess only halving is more than enough to make bitcoin into moon in 2016. Yes, halving would be the prime factor for making 2016 as year of bitcoin.

I too believe that bitcoin will hit $10k price levels within this year to make 2016 as year of bitcoin.
But only the price is alone is not making a year special for bitcoin but mass adoption. But the high value of bitcoin will make all the required things to make it as a mainstream payment system.

I too believe that bitcoin will hit $10k price levels within this year to make 2016 as year of bitcoin.
But only the price is alone is not making a year special for bitcoin but mass adoption. But the high value of bitcoin will make all the required things to make it as a mainstream payment system.

I am not sure that the price of bitcoin will reach $ 10k in 2016, but I still hope that it will really happen. there is currently no triggers that increase the price of bitcoin be like that, and if that happens may be difficult to find bitcoin

Yeah, that's the right thing to do, invest your money in bitcoins at a moment as the price have not reached to the moon yet, and this price we can afford to buy few more bitcoins, which can be profitable in future.
