Good, I hope bitcoin will succeed next year.

We're at $450 USD from what I can see on preev.com, and in my opinion that's huge. We're seeing a steady increase in value as the halving closes in, and it is showing no signs of slowing down at all. I do want to believe this is going to be an amazing year for bitcoin, but there are currently no guarantees that it will.

Personally, I don't think many people care all that much about block sizes as it is, but the market movement is showing that the investors are confident that we'll find a workaround for it.

2016 is already shaping up to be an amazing year for Bitcoin, now all we have to do is see if we can break $500 and keep it steady before January.

Because they dont care doesnt mean the problem is not there. We might pretend its all ok, but eventually we will have to deal with the blocksize problem, and it will affect the price, probably negatively.

I just hope it doesnt get ever below 300$ again.

With or without block size problems, I too hope we never see again the bitcoin prices go below $300 levels. Even got tested there is no chances for closing prices go below $300.
There are multiple solutions for every solutions are getting ready. Hope bitcoin community will implement them to make bitcoin more versatile in future for getting ready for main stream adoption.

Yes making bitcoin ecosystem more versatile is more important for taking bitcoin into main stream. Lightning network would be the solution for block chain problem, being a average Joe I'm not fully aware of these technical aspects. But, implementing new patches for improving bitcoin's performance is more important things to make 2016 as year of bitcoin.

IMO yes, 2016 is the year of bitcoin.

If the 2016 will be the year of bitcoin the other ones which becomes after this year will be the years of the dead of it. Be the year of bitcoin mean that this year will happen and will verified the maximum for it. All the other ones after this year bitcoin must stay where was in 2016 or will go down. Cannot go higher because has its year: 2016.

I think that the year of bitcoin is yet to come. It will be not only one but every new year. Every new year I hope that will be the year of bitcoin. In the meaning that always, every new year, will see a new higher price for it. Which will stop (if will) in a remote, very remote, future year.

We hear this every year. The only difference in 2016 is the block halving that will take place. That makes 2016 somewhat special, but it definitely won't be the year of Bitcoin.

Exactly, looking at the present price rise up I believe that the price of bitcoins would be much higher in the year 2016 and that would be the best news for the users of bitcoins and it would soon reach $500 in the coming weeks and We hope that price keeps on increasing or remains stable for a longer time.

I heard the same things for 2015.
2015 will be The year of Bitcoin and price will raise.
It didn't happen.
We can't predict future events, just have hope and faith that bitcoin will eventually make breakthrough and become mainstream.

Bitcoin have been increasing lately this year, 2015, which means by 2016 it will rise to a higher price than what happened in this year. The prime reason backing my view is simply halving has been scheduled to happen by July 2016. So, bitcoin will measure new heights this year for sure.

By the way, 2015 has already been a great year for Bitcoin. The price was about 315 USD when 2015 started, it is now at 457, so we have a 45% gain for the year. How many other investments gave you 45% for 2015? S&P 500 is currently negative for the year.

They will keep on pushing their Blockchain agenda without Bitcoin.
They will have burned way more millions before they will realize that they are spinning in circles.
We will see a time coming where Bitcoin and Blockchain technologies by banks will directly compete with each other.
Like the internet and intranets (AOL, Compuserve, Prodigy) have done in the 90s.
Maybe it is good that it will happen this way.The banks' blockchains could be the perfect preparation and kind of trigger for the people to switch over when they realize that open and permissionless networks are the ones to go for.

They will keep on pushing their Blockchain agenda without Bitcoin.

I learned a long time ago not to use references to things in the 90s because most of the forum members including the developers were a fetus at some point in the 90s. They clearly won't know what your talking about.
