Honestly i think we are in for a treat this year.
The price has gained a lot of support. While we were at 220 USD in the beginning of this year, there is some strong support at 420 USD now.
I do not think that 2016 is the year of the Bitcoin unless the value of the Bitcoin is going to rise again only that can safe it. This year has been pretty disappointing because the Bitcoin has been nothing but stable. |

Yes. We started this year for a very low price. now here we are almost tripled in our invested bitcoin. Where would you get such a thing like this? It is really a fast growing investment. |

The halving has not been very good and that was the big event of this year so I must say that I do not think it will be the year of the bitcoin.

In my opinion 2016 was good to us.
Price increased from 430$ to 620$ at the moment. When you put your money into a bank account you will never make that much profit.
And who knows how high we could be if dao and bitfinex did not happen.
The good thing is that 2016 is not finished yet, and I think the price trend goes up.

The hype and speculation around the block halving brought the price to around $790 in June, so in that regard it has been a fantastic year for traders and people that have been holding their coins for a long time. |

It is grown this year with users but I think in the next year it will grow a lot more with users due to the popularity its gaining everyday.

Well the effect of halving is just for the block reward, and the effect of price increase is not going to happen instantly. But look at what is happening now the price of bitcoin is already increasing and I would say this is a very good indication that for this year the increase is already happening. And every year is going to be a year of bitcoin. |

It depends on the price, and the price of bitcoin have grown in 2016 to some extent and it is still growing which proves that the year has been good for bitcoin, it is not important that bitcoin should go too high and then it would be the year of bitcoin but even if the price goes 10-15% from what it was in previous year then it means the year was good for the coin. |

Are you alright? This year brings lots of changes in bitcoin. Ever imagined that we can breached the $500 level? Remember that we are stuck at below of it for years and surpassing that level is a long desire by the others. Every year brings changes to bitcoin and that is more important. |

It depends on the price, and the price of bitcoin have grown in 2016 to some extent and it is still growing which proves that the year has been good for bitcoin, it is not important that bitcoin should go too high and then it would be the year of bitcoin but even if the price goes 10-15% from what it was in previous year then it means the year was good for the coin. Yeah indeed all the things we do and we will certainly try to have constraints in the price. The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.
I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.
The prospects were not bad this year, but because of problems in commercial markets, in particular bitfinex, bitcoin fell dramatically. Therefore, in 2016 it became the black for many a year. |

2016 is the year of bitcoin for me. Because the halving is happened on 2016 and it's make the price of bitcoin become increase up to 2 times and i don't think 2017 can be same like 2016.
If big companies will invest their fresh money in bitcoins then it can take price even higher, and at a moment price is rising slowly and if new investors joins the ride then next year will be also good for bitcoins. |

There have been a large increment in the number of sites that are newly opened based on bitcoins , so yeah this is a year of bitcoins. A year of bitcoins does not just mean that the price go very high.

We opened 400 and we've gone up to more than 150% of how much we opened the year with, and there's still more room for bitcoin to go back up to $650 line, and that's probably where we'll be closing this year at. Even with the finex issue, bitcoin has still improved nevertheless. |
