2016, The Year of Bitcoin?

For me 2016 is already year of bitcoin, cause price this year reach $750 and it's still not over, maybe we will see price that more than $750 this year? Who knows..

Price may reach to $800 price at halving, and if it touches there the we can say that it is an year of bitcoin, as far now it was really boring year, but things started to change since last week.

It will reached if manipulators will help us reached that price. If we only rely on halving about price increase then that is impossible. Those people who have lots of coins can control the sequence in the bitcoin market.

I hope so. I'm not too excited about the halving because that's something almost everyone already know and it's been also reflected on the price, but well, maybe it could pump it a little bit. I want to see what happen with brexit, new implementation of CSV, that maybe could help to raise the price, but as always... who knows?

But yes indeed how such applies only in some time alone and can't last much longer. But we don't have to worry about in the future certainly there are better ways in how to raise the price of BTC

That seems to be difficult now and I will be much satisfied even if I see the price of $700 at halving, that is the price I have set in my mind to sell my coins, I missed the opportunity to sell last week.

$700 is not a problem. I think it is even possible for the price to go to $800 or higher. But it is not sustainable.

The bear market has lasted long enough. I predict 2016 is the year where bitcoin finally breaks through, both in price and in mainstream adoption.

The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.

I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.

There's so much uncertainty as to what will happen before and after the halving. Some say that the current price is already adjusted to halving and that it is only after a few more months that there would be more price action. While some also say that the price is going to reach new highs because according to some bitcoin is undervalued. Let's just wait and hold and see what happens by the time 2016 is over.

well last week was just a hype bubble, so the rise was artificial.

we keep hearin about halving and supply & demand rule which will lead to price rise because of halving but we also forget that halving should happen before the supply changes.

There were lots of factors involved like Chinese investment  in price increase and not just halving bubble.  I still wonder what will be the exactly time when halving effects will be on bitcoin prices.

It's a clear movement of big investors out there that can move the price in the market with one big pump or dump. Halving speculations is not that strong. It's strong in statement of other people especially some post here but in actual they are not buying coins.

Yes and having been expected to happen in 2016, I think it is safe to say the year of bitcoins. I think a lot of sites start accepting bitcoins as their primary payment and that's why this 2016 is a year belongs to bitcoins too. The recent price surge is keep on confirming it.

Actually, bitfinex played a part on the recent price drop because bitfinex was kind of holding a large trading volume as well. The chinese trading sites hold fake volume, but even so, they still are capable of largely influencing the value of bitcoin.

well so far,  i think that 2016 have been awesome year for bitcoin, steam accepts bitcoins, openbazaar works till this day, also halving in 2 weeks, this is really awesome years for bitcoin

and of course price, price was 450$ at start of year and 670$ at this moment and still going up, i think that is awesome thing as higer price means that more people will use bitcoins so that is good for bitcoin

Still believes that halving is the actual reason why the price increase started to bloom above $500? Show some valid basis then. You are just one of the halving fanatics out there that throwing away good facts about the recent price increase is due to halving.
