2016, The Year of Bitcoin?

If we look at an overview of an year till date then it was really a very boring year, but the excitement and fun started from last month when price started to rise and touched $780, and hope that it continues in rest of the year too.

I think it will repeat later this year. The price will stay around current level for 4 months then rise 60%.

If the halving brought the same results to us which we are expecting then I think 2016 will be the year of bitcoin.

For me 2016 is already year of bitcoin, cause price this year reach $750 and it's still not over, maybe we will see price that more than $750 this year? Who knows..

I can assure you that around halving or around Christmas the price of bitcoins would fly to over 1000$ ( though my personal speculation ) and for me as the price crosses 1000$ mark, becomes the year of bitcoins.

How can you assure us that the value would surge to a staggering $1000? That's a little too high of a rise considering we entered the year with just roughly $400 and ending it at $1000 is phenomenal.
If you'd provide statistics and good speculation, then we'd be assured. Probably.

I have heard the same thing about 2015 but nothing special happened on 2015 if you ask me, I hope that 2016 is still going to have a big price rise coming.

year 2016 I think Bitcoin is already have a big impact to people we just need to wait that in 2016 Bitcoin well have a positive piece, because I see a lot of people that they are holding it waiting the halving so they can sell there bitcoins into high price if the bitcoin will still high in another year then probrably many of us is going to be rich! just kidding

ITs NOT year of Bitcoin its the year of ICOs. seeing how many ICOs being held in a month and a lot of users fall to it to which they've been FUDDING too because of how it turned out.
There are still new ICOs coming so i guess it may not end until the year ends.

There were lots of factors involved like Chinese investment  in price increase and not just halving bubble.  I still wonder what will be the exactly time when halving effects will be on bitcoin prices.

Agree here. I don't believe that halving is the main reason of the price increase. If does then why still it decrease? It's a clear movement of big investors out there that can move the price in the market with one big pump or dump. Halving speculations is not that strong. It's strong in statement of other people especially some post here but in actual they are not buying coins.

halving is the actual reason of price increase in bitcoin but the price of bitcoin from the last week is not increasing because of the hack news of bitfinex, a lot of people felt fear and they now searching for a safe platform for their coins to save, and I hope in the coming days the price of bitcoin will once again start to increase

I think the price has already rise too much in the last two months, it is better for it to consolidate at current level.

I guess some of the media looking for news about bitcoin back this year, it was because of halving just happened. I am pretty sure that if halving bring bitcoin prices broke through $ 1000, it is certain that bitcoin users will grow this year, and will probably be very many companies that take advantage of this and probably will make this year a year of bitcoin.

2016 already proved to be year of bitcoin as the price hit 700$ its the highest i saw ever during myself using bitcoin i was using it also when it hit 1000$ but that time i did not had any to enjoy

Not 700$ it reached up to 800$, I thought it would go up but now it is decreasing. Compare to last 2 days it down to 50$ now Bitcoin price is 620$. I am not sure it will increase again or not. But 2016 is the year of Bitcoin many people made some profit when Bitcoin hit 800$.

We can't be sure if this will be the year of bitcoin you are just considering it just because bitcoin has reached $800 . We still don't if that would be the only highest price for bitcoin to reach for this year . Well just keep on wating for it I am also hoping for it to happen .

Yeah very hard to decide if you will buy or not bitcoin is unpredictable you will never know if the price will increase or not .. but the best you going to do is to buy and buy because we know bitcoin will grow more in the future, so the price should be increase because bitcoin will be in demand in the future,
