Will 2016 be the year that bitcoin price surges past $700? I hope the halving reward that occurs brings the price to new highs this year.
yes it will be not impossible for the bitcoin to reach that amount in the time period of around halving, if that amount reached by bitcoin before halving then it will be our luck as after that when halving will start we will earn a big amount by reaching the value above than $1000 and if it reached to $700 then I think the whole year we will be around that value fluctuation up and down there are several possibilities if before halving the price has risen significantly, the possibility of big dump could occur after halving. because you know that everyone has hold and will sell after halving. |

Hope so. I want to see again the $1000 price and hoping btc xt will gone forever coz it really hurts the price.
I also hope that this is going to happen but we have not seen this in 2016 yet. For the price be this high in 2016 is not going to happen anymore, we are not even halve way there so it is pretty unlikely that it is going to be $1000 this year. |

The bear market has lasted long enough. I predict 2016 is the year where bitcoin finally breaks through, both in price and in mainstream adoption.
The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.
I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.
probably a stable price meaning nice news in the future of coins we are waiting more   |

I think THE 1.1 BILL in fiat that is in Eth coin vs the 6.8 bill that is in BTC has really held people back from buying a lot of BTC. GPUS back ETH coins Asics back BTC coins To mine an Eth coin you use a hdd or an ssd a gpu a cpu a mobo all are from real companies with real warranties To mine a BTC coin you use an asic machine from who? with only a 90 day warranty. If I have 2 million to invest The Eth coin looks safer. Other factors 75% of BTC asic machines are in China mining another 10% in Russia. So a week from today boom gone or not. Eth coins gpus are not going poof , Intel or AMD cpus are not going poof, mobos are not going poof So mining Eth coin is scattered all over the world in gear that is warrantied by major companies vs mining BTC mostly in China and russia by gear made in china in russia. As I guy that wants to buy and hold 1 million or 2 million in fiat of a coin whihc looks better. Also upside eth coin jumps from 14 to 98 = a 7x jump btc coin jumps from 440 to 3080 = a 7x jump what is more likely by August as a reaction to the btc ½ ing |

Even we are not gonna see this price by the end of this year, its a huge milestone to achieve and to reach there I think we need to wait for long time. |

I don't think it has to do with the price increase at all. I think it has to do with the amount of use that it is getting. I know that I have done more transactions with it this year so far than any other year. And I believe that retailers have too in this respect as well. So this is the Year of the BTC.  |

Halving is very good for the price of bitcoin. But if there is no demand due to slow transactions, the price will drop. I am sure we will reach $1000 again, but i hope that the rise to $1000 will be slow and stable. then we can maintain that price level. if a pump causes the price to go that high, we will see the price come back down to previous levels. a steady growth is the best growth possible. |

But of course it is really hard to know what is going to happen with the Bitcoin in the future but you have to take the risk to do something. |

i dont think 2016 will be the year you are going to fast men give coins the time like we gave dollar the time. Before is was nothing but after allong time he grow quiet allot. So wait about 5 years and see what happen i can tell you there will . |

I think this is the year of the bitcoin and the most people are also thinking this because the bitcoin just has such a good future a head these days. Half of the year has already passed and we haven't seen any good news related to bitcoin, this year will be the same boring year like past years. |
