This is year i had stepped in bitcoin, suffered loss had stability and had gained bitcoin from bitcointalk so this year will remain as milestone in my life.

That's nice dude, this year is really a good year for bitcoin as so far I have already seen so much improvement for this year and the price has really been increasing and even now the price trend is telling that it will continue to rise maybe until the end of the year, we will surely have a good year. |

In terms of price bitcoin hasn't move that much. Also its now only 4 months till 2017 due to the recent activities like the halving bitcoin had greatly been below 700$, although maybe it will come across the 700 dollar mark near December. Now in terms of bitcoin's popularity I can say that it had a major stried this year with how many online sites accepts btc as a mode of payment also many sites are giving away bitcoin for free although not that much.

The halving is the answer why 2016 become the year of bitcoin. The halving is really give a good affect into the price of bitcoin, because the price of bitcoin increase up to $600 because of the halving.

The bear market has lasted long enough. I predict 2016 is the year where bitcoin finally breaks through, both in price and in mainstream adoption.
The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.
I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.
It 's easy to predict without any arguments  What make you think Bitcoin is about to go mainstream? Amazon accepting BTC in 2016? Well yes, Amazon i have a feeling that will accept btc, on that way bitcoin price will change a lot. It should and the Ebay integrate the bitcoin as a payment method. In this way while big e-commerce companies include this payment method the price of bitcoin will increase and people will be more interested to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoins will never be the bestr thing you can invest with because at the end of this year the bitcoin will drop that low no one will use it anymore you know. |

I do not think that 2016 is going to be the year of the Bitcoin because not much happened in this year and I do not think that much is going to happen. I am going to put my hopes up for 2017 now. |

2016 wasnt the year of the bitcoin since we haven't booked alot of progress. Right now we are still below 600 which is kind of depressing.
Hoping for 2017 to be a better year in that regard, I'd like to see some higher progressing numbers right now instead of crashing prices.

The figure is not a bad thing on the growth of the bitcoin!!. Because of the bitcoin is something should be based on the growth of users, more and more users bitcoin bitcoin then we will feel something bigger than the numbers now we dream of. I do not know how much is the bitcoin price right now. I checked it lately and it was under $600. It is a good time to buy some bitcoin because many people predicts that bitcoin price by the end of the year will soar high.
Every year people will keep saying that btc will soar high. That is the believe they have but the issue is what will drive the btc to soar high? It is more about the reach out of btc to those who know nothing about btc, it is about reaching out to merchandise who is willing to accept btc. If these never happen, there is nowhere btc can soar. They can grow but at a slow pace. |

Although all problematic events, such as the bitfinex hack, bitcoin has shown good levels of recovery and is being able to stay at good levels in the market. I think this can be a decisive year for it.

Doubt it, 2017 maybe, but I think it will require a lot more time for btc to get into mainstream and accepted fully as a currency as it is. I'm thinking 2019-2020 to be the best year for bitcoin so far, it may have some falls in prices but I don'treally think that 2017 will change THAT much, maybe the price will go up for 100$ or 150$. |
Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

2016 is not yet finish but before halving comes in previous month the price was like skyrocket that is why we can say that this year will be good it was gives lot of profit for the investors. And i think also next year would be great if this current month will be stable until in the end of this year.

i like how you think about bitcoin, but it's a fact that the majority of the people look at the price and the hight of the profit they made to call it the year of bitcoin. they don't care about the adoption and the technical side of bitcoin which are very important as well. it's pure selfishnes from people. |
