miner will beep if it detects only 1 fan (sense wire *RPM*) be it fan #1 or fan #2
anyone else noticed this ?
I noticed this too. This is a good thing in that when 1 fan dies that it will let you know prior to burning the unit's hasboards. Its a good thing.

"This particular item is a collection of computer processors called ASICs that perform a specific computational task. Alone, this component does nothing. Once I assemble other pieces and attach the ASICs it solves complex computer math problems. In the most simplest of terms, it is just a computer component." Saw someone else stated this. Should I try this ?

Yes, it worked for them. You may want to put the following in parentheses after "ASIC": (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) with everything else you quoted. Keep us updated please... It sounds too much like a damn police State to me. The whole damn world is slowly turning into a damn Police State by all these damn progressive leaders.

I know... I was thinking the same thing. Hell of a position to be in. I hope they work with you to sell them maybe and mail them where you tell them to. Might see if you can appeal their decision as well.

Romania. The worst part is that I already paid BITMAIN in bitcoins and my machines are held in customs ... nice !
Usually, they just need to know in which category they should put it to calculate the taxes. "Computer accessories" worked for me. Different category may lead to different % of taxes on top of VAT (usually, only if the item is valued over 1500€). I never bothered checking if some category would save me money on those taxes since I'm trying to avoid ordering more than 1500€ in a single delivery.

No, it's not just that, because my first statment already was saying PC components. My country seems to have different import taxes and rules.

The PSUs are quite profitable for them, not very high quality but it helps capture more revenue and profit per unit given the convenience for buyers of S7s
I don't know why you mention that the PSU is not very high quality. IMO The PSU is v+good quality, on par with quality of Seasonic 80PLUS gold PSUs. For e.g. they use top notch Nippon Chemicon high temperature capacitors, the cooling fan is a Delta part, etc. What they have skimped on is features for home miners, like foolproof PCI-E plugs, adjustable fan speed, 110V input, power switch. These PSUs are not noob friendly, but for the seasoned miner who knows their stuff. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1060439.200I reallllllly doubt they are anywhere near the level Seasonic are at. We're talking about bitmain here.... And comparing them to one of the top dogs in the PSU industry. The 1600w bitmain PSUs aren't bad, for sure, but we haven't had a proper review of them. We have no clue what the regulation or ripple numbers are. I wish bitmain would send a sample in to jonnyguru. It's easy to calculate approx regulation levels, by using a good voltage meter and a known load like a S7 miner. I doubt it's too bad, since I measured < 0.5V drop using an OC S7. No idea about the ripple though (that's something that Jonnyguru or a PSU reviewer could check). A very important part of a PSU are the caps, and the Bitmain 1600W PSU have one of the best (Nippon chemicon), also used by Seasonic and other good PSUs, but not used in Corsair RM1000. Interestingly the Bitmain PSU board has polymer conformal coating at the bottom. I have not seen that in other ATX PSUs.

The main problem was because the price was high and they said that only company can import this much, and they were worried that i will resell them and i would be competition for other companies. Because as a person i can import only one. And after a week arguing and finding dozen connections they relleased my gear.

As i said i found people that they helped me to confirm that i need them for personal use and i was explaining that this gear will help my software project to calculate faster the matematical calculations, and also i explained that they stack with another, that means that if one can solve the matematical problem in month, five of them will do the same job in mater of days

Yes, several times. Sometimes the fan did not spin up, had to 'kick' it , sometimes fan dead, sometimes fan blocked with stray cable at startup.

ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with BM1385 chips Is there any changelog for Dec. 11th firmware (in particular for 4.05 Th/s miners (Batch 6))? Not that I see, but it works fine on all 26 4.86 miners I have since dec 11.

A few ideas to justify home use for customs -1200w high tech space heaters to heat your house -supercomputer parts for a school project (if you are still student) -high end computer parts for 3D modelling or virtual reality gaming.

I received 2 Batch 8 miners and within 24 hours they both had 1 dead board. At least I can still get 3.1TH/s with them while I was for a response from Bitmain... Hopefully that doesn't take forever. Sometimes I only get one or two boards to start, if I kick the clock down a notch they all pop up without rebooting. Touchy.

How can they deliver such bad units?hoow?this is not acceptable.they are supposed to test them before shipping right? yeah we can see that shiny QC Passed sticker ? on the miner & outside the box too. it's defo been "tested" Latest Update & if anyone "noticed" Price: 3.07 BTC ( 1421.47 USD ) back to pegging FIAT ? peg is the value NOT in parens. So peg is 3.07 BTC. The other one floats.
