finally

time to get a new job for crypsty staff

flip the burger

Would you like fries with your McVern, and is that for here or to go. My bad! For here is the only option. Please take a seat next to the skeletons while support addresses your order, and feel free to cancel your order at any time if you've rightfully come to the conclusion of becoming a skeleton awaits your faith if opting not to exercise said option, whereupon you can change your order for a McVern to a cookie or our neat flexible colored straws which currently we have plenty of in stock - while supplies last.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

is this one of those cases where they use comma as a decimal separator?

I mean $600 - maybe... but $600k - only in Vern's dreams

I just wanted to comment, that due to the fact that some of this thread has been archived and there is documentation confirming known cryptsy employees visited this thread and were aware of various 'shenanigans' shall we say, they've kindof opened up a can of worms all by themselves. It's something not often mentioned but when you sign up for cryptsy you also agree to their TOS which, last I read, contained information about agreeing to mandatory binding arbitration which i think costs ~$2k per case and LOSER pays (or something like that). So typically any class action suit is going to face a stumbling block dealing with the arbitration clause. Here, as there is suspicion of fraud and negligent/illegal activity taking place by cryptsy agents knowingly, that could be, well... bad for employees and could help pierce corporate veil sorts of issues. I mean... if the money's all gone... and you are in a no-extradition country... well... it might not matter but... Hopefully this isn't Gox 2.0 and just all a 'simple misunderstanding.' Time to make some popcorn.

Just an update on the cryptsy issues:

My withdrawal from 12-15-15 was just canceled without telling me, and the record of the withdraw attempt removed from the system.

I tried to break up the withdraw to .1 and some change each and did 3 of them.

They are all confirmed and now pending exactly as they were before.

With any luck, he's got the grail already.

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

I take a couple of personal days, come back to see you ga9z r t3h pwN1ng harder than ever! Grin Keep up the solid work!

Everyone deserves to know this information:

A bit of a recap from the blockchain analysis of Cryptsy's recent BTCitcoin wallet transactions.

Evidence of Cryptsy wallets sending large 20-40BTC withdrawals that subsequently move to an address linked to numerous other scams with a net worth of $6,000,000.00 (approx)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg13303659#msg13303659

More solid evidence connecting them to receiving large deposits and sending large withdrawals again to the rogue wallet that then immediately sends the coins to the address synonymous with scams, including 'The Scryptsy Scam'

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg13322806#msg13322806

Evidence of the address sending bitcoins to and from Cryptsy (with the buffer of a single wallet) being linked to nefarious activity and the funds reaching one of Cryptsy's main redistribution addresses

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg13338136#msg13338136

Evidence of Cryptsy sending a total of 6 Bitcoins to Alphabay Market

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg13369135#msg13369135

2BTC shown here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg13356003#msg13356003

and 4BTC shown here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.msg13392110#msg13392110

This doesn't even include all of the ons going on brought to light by countless other members.

GO LOOK AT THEIR WALLET. CRYPTSY IS STEALING MOVING EVERYONE'S BITCOINS AND SELLING THEM ON LOCALBITCOINS.COM

A FEW TRANSACTIONS WERE LAUNDERED SENT THROUGH WALLETS, THEN THEY GOT LAZY AND STARTED SENDING DIRECTLY TO LBC

WALLET WENT FROM 37+ BTC TO 1 BTC IN 3 DAYS.

https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/Cryptsy.com-old

It is going to be a glorious day in history when these fools get popped. Especially when they reference all of the nefarious evidence that is brought to light in this thread.

YOU FSUCKERS GOT JACKED

When are people going to learn to not use an exchange as a wallet

Ok... so I have heard this 1000 times... let me explain it.

I looked online after a long break from crypto. I see a great opportunity on doge buy one exchange, move to cryptsy and sell for more.
cash out BTC. Sounds reasonable...

Ok... part one, done. Bought Doge. Part two move to cryptsy... Done Sell doge Done. All working great.

Final part, withdraw BTC. <BAM> ummm why cant I withdraw? Look at chat box and google... see this is a major issue.

anyone depositing coins in at all had this problem. Even if it was for 10 min. So if you know how to trade coins without actually depositing them,
I would love to hear how it works.

Ok... so don't leave them in an exchange. Don't use the "not real" exchange. Don't buy "lame" altcoins and try to make money off them.

There is lots to learn about the process I guess... As soon as I can get my coins off the exchange im out for good... Ill sell them off and get away from
all this as there must be 1000's of unwritten rules that I have no knowledge of

Edited to correct some issues...

there is one rule really... use your head (the round-ish thing above your shoulders)

if you can see a "great opportunity" to arbitrage you need to understand the reason why the exchange rate is so vastly different

I saw the same thing with gox and usd back when I was just starting to look into bitcoin and stuff in jan-feb 2014

learned a lot just by digging into that, ended up not sending any btc to gox despite the urge

I have tried arbitrage from bittrex to cryptsy , i get profit +10% but my withdraw pending in more than 2days ,
after it I feel cured and will not try it again, now Dogecoin at bittrex is very cheap only ~30sat, in crypsty ~40sat but don't try to arbitrage or you lose your money
not.you

Also, anyone care to translate this? https://youtu.be/x_xIeq446YM
12-minutes video in russian called "Cryptsy - an exchange which makes profit for you"... Ok, I will try to translate it (my native language is russian), but it'll take some time.

Update. Here is the translation. Sorry for the possible mistakes.

TL;DR Just random shitty video like "How to earn million euro in 15 minutes" made by "Bitcoin millionaire" with 146k sats on his balance. Russian youtube is filled with this kind of shit, only people with Down's syndrome will follow these channels.

00:18-00:40 Hello, subscribers and those who tries to make some money. Today I will tell you about an exchange called Cryptsy located in Canada. So, uh, the main feature of this exchange is that you can deposit any amount of money, on other exchanges or wallets there are deposit limits. There are limits on withdraws, but every exchange have them.
00:42-03:00 He tries to explain how to register. He calls "email" a wallet THREE times, LOL. "You will receive a confirmation link in your walle~.. sorry, email, and you need to click it. Now I will log into my account and show you how to work with it".
03:13-04:20 he tries to explain where is a referral link and your balances. ...So, who wants to collect bitcoins and receive % from your investment, this exchange is made for those (idk what he speaks about, sound like bullshit).
04:41-06:00 he tries to explain how "Balances" page works and that those coins on top of the page have the biggest trading volume.
06:05-00:40 he tries to explain how quote chart works, he suggests to sell(!) when the candle is red.
06:32-06:56 "On the left side you exhancge your coins, on the right side you, uh, exchange your coins", sells his coin.
06:59-07:20 "You see this green box in the bottom left part of screen, this means we sold the coins, now lets check our balance".
07:30-07:32 "Now we see that our LTC disappeared"
07:33-07:50 "Here you see the order I made".
07:55-09:00 "Now I will explain you how to deposit coins here" *random bullshittery*
09:01-09:05 "See, my order is completed, someone bought my coins"
09:06-09:35 He explains how to press "Generate a new adfress" and copy-paste wallet address.
09:36-09:52 "My mic broken, I will use another one, now I gonna explain how to withdraw"
09:55-11:41 A veeery long explantation how to paste wallet address, enter withdrawal amount and enter captcha.
11:42-12:20 So, uh, I ask you to start using this exchange, thanks for watching and goodbye.

I spent 20 minutes of my life on nothing ._.

I very much enjoyed reading your translation so it wasn't totally for nothing.
