Women Tennis has always been competitive with no players in recent time has clear lead above others. Iga Swiatek was on the lime light for quite some time while the player that was mostly losing to her on finals was Arya Sabalenka. But Arya Sabalenka who is a lot older than Iga or Cooc, has now became the table leader for Womens Tennis. Arya was finalist in 2023, won in 2024 and now in 2025. Amanda Anisimova had a spectacular rise to the finals defeating Iga Swiatek and Naomi Osaka. US open Men's final is again between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. Jannik Sinner has won 4 of last 7 grand slams. While remaining 3 were won by Carlos Alcaraz.

The men’s final is really interesting. Alcaraz vs Sinner.
Their head-to-head in finals so far:
2025 French Open Final – Alcaraz won 2025 Wimbledon Final – Sinner won
So this one feels like the tiebreaker. I think Alcaraz is having a really good run here, so I’d side with him to win. Betting odds: Sinner 1.70 vs Alcaraz 2.08.
Alcaraz performs better on both clay and hard courts. Sinner won on grass at Wimbledon, while the US Open is on hard court. While Sinner is the odds-on favorite, Alcaraz will prevail on this surface. I expect it to be a challenging and exciting match. In the women's competition, Sabalenka defeated Anisimova 2-0 to win the US Open. So you suggest that betting on Alcaraz is the right thing to do here? Well, i think i would agree with you since the odds already moved, its no longer 2.08. Last time i check like an hour ago, it was already below 2.00, 1.98 to be exact. although Sinner is still the slight favorite but i think the odds still have some good value.

Am still able to find odds of around 2.16 for Alcaraz which is great value if you ask me. Many sites are simply rating Sinner as the slight favorite since he is the defending champ, but he dropped a couple of sets before reaching the final. On the other hand, Alcaraz didn't drop a single set and seems to be in a league of his own at the moment. Am backing him all the way.

Yes, definitely, she is fairly consistent, I really thought Swiatek would be in the final at least, she seemed to be on the up again. Anisimova after the match was very regretful that she didnt fight more, she got very negative after being broken and you cant do that especially in a final. Experience would have helped her!

I saw the match this evening and I have to say that it was one-sided, Alcaraz is truly a humble guy who has worked hard on himself and he showed it, improving especially in the phases where he was lacking, in this tournament he was much superior to all the others and Sinner was unable to stay at his level

There is no doubt from first game of this match; Carlos Alcaraz was in control and never allow Jannik Sinner to fight back in this epic fight having 6th Grand Slam of career at the age of 22 is amazing success for Spaniard. In this event, he lost only 1 set in final while have all 5 rounds without losing any set which is showing how amazing he is going to be in coming years as well with his current performance and success look like he is going to lead from front for long time if any injury did not happen this amazing player of this generation.

I knew full well that Alcaraz would win the match.
I expected the match to be close, but Alcaraz struggled and lost only the second set. He won the other sets easily, finishing the match 3-1. Alcaraz is better than Sinner on both hard and clay courts.
Carlos Alcaraz became the second youngest player to win six Grand Slam singles titles. The first is Bjorn Borg. Borg achieved this at two different Grand Slams: three Roland Garros titles and three Wimbledon titles. Alcaraz, meanwhile, has two RG titles, two W titles, and two US Open titles.

Sinner didn't look like he was 100%. Had high expectations from the match but he kept making forced/unforced errors at crucial moments. High level tennis match from both of them but Carlos was just a bit more consistent. Just 1 set lost throughout the tournament for Carlos. Must've been an achievement in itself. He's played near perfect tennis in this US Open.

Vamos Alcaraz! I did feel bad for Sinner because he was not at his best in this match and was outclassed especially in the 3rd set, but it felt great to see Carlos playing his best tennis so far. The big 3 era is officially over and the big 2 era is here. Well it is very good odds, is that on ML?

Yeah. Those were ML odds and I received decent profit thanks to this win. Alcaraz is the new number 1 now while Sinner is number 2 and the rest are way behind.

Congrats to your win by picking the right side. Like I have said before, this time is really boring with always those 2 guys in the finals and nobody else is standing a chance. I mean, sure they play really well, hard precision shot and nice rallies, but seeing always the same 2 faces in the final and basically storming through the field is just tiring. The other players should step up and at least try to improve a little bit so matches against those 2 dominant players would be at least somewhat interesting.

Sinner v Alcaraz - is it just me or has the gap widened between these two a little big more? ok they have 2 grand slams each now this season but Alcaraz has been able to catch up on Sinner and overtake him to take the #1 spot. I didnt make any bets on that match in the end. I probably would have put a handicap on Sinner but it wouldnt have been enough, I doubt I would have got +8.5 on him at any reasonable price.
Alcaraz "I see you more than my family" - these two have good camaraderie and really get on well with each other.

Thanks. You make a valid point. Certain players like Zverev could actually challenge them properly, but they keep failing when it matters the most unlike them. I sense FAA to possibly be somewhat of a threat to them in the future. Wow those were some odds and a very nice win on top! well done!

Thank you. Lost some money on Anisimova, but made it back and more on Carlos. Also, that comment by Alcaraz cracked me up. Wish Trump didn't attend and hog some of their well deserved limelight though.

This duo will be probably the next Federer-Nadal challenge of the decade.
Without the 3 months ban Sinner will be probably in top 1, even if Alcaraz lately is quite impressive and have beaten the Italian often.

I'm afraid it looking like that, maybe some other top10 player or two might get lucky and win themselves a few of the 40 grand slams over the next 10 years. Whatever about the accolades about winning so many grand slams, consider the wealth generation?

This thread went quiet after the US Open - aren’t you guys following the other tournaments anymore?
Just wanted to share some news for those who’ve been tracking it: after Eala won the Guadalajara 125 Open, she’s now at the WTA 250 São Paulo Open in Brazil. She’s already qualified for the quarterfinals, and her opponent is Janice Tjen, she’s ranked lower than Eala, so I’m wondering why the betting odds are so close.
What do you think -- who’s your pick for this matchup, guys?

Yea it happens regularly enough, especially after the grand slams that the thread goes temporarily quiet! I suppose its because a lot of the top tier players take a short break.
Eala - that was great for her even if it was a 125 event, I see she was seeded 2nd, but I didnt recognise any other player. With the form she has been in she outclassed everyone else in the competition
Davis cup is starting in next week, Alcaraz was due to play but has cancelled to play the Laver Cup instead! I dont think I have ever bet on the Davis cup eventhough it can be entertaining to watch.

Yes, I also following the path of Alex as it seems that she has the talent to become a great tennis player. That will be a quarter final showdown against fellow Southeast Asian player in Tjen from Indonesia. So Alex has a good chance to win as he is rank higher as you have said. But still hard for her, as it might goes to a 3 set as both would have to work very hard if they wanted to win this tournament. But it seems that every tournament Alex enters, she become the crowd favorite. Even the Brazilians love this Filipina. I guess it's her personality, her tenacity to win every game made the fans fall for her.
