for me Bitcoin mining became competitive only during the early 2013. You can go back to 2009, stack up all the mining rigs and possess 90% of the total hash power. By 2013 January, you will be in the possession of 10 million+ coins

If the Bitcoin price drops to zero, would you be still interested in collecting them? 99% of the guys are here to earn money. That is sad, because when I first joined this forum, there were a lot of guys who were here for ideological causes.

Judging from the age of this post, our sir over here must be really wealthy already. He is one of the pioneers and his life should have changed to a really good one. I started out 2016 and here I am trying to catch up. In the next 10 years we all will be proud.

There will be only 21*10^6 btc, world population is about 7*10^9, thus average person/organization will have no more than 0.003 btc... I am about 6 times richer with my 0.02 btc, but when I own 3 btc, I will be 1000 times richer, so I think 3 btc is definitely enough.

Some decent maths here, beats guessing proportions.
I would also say not against BTC but it wont be the only currency hence value will be shared as it is now with USD.

So we cant exactly divide one into another but its fair to put it down as a theoretical to take forward.  Wealth is always with the means of production in a country as far as capitalism goes, the currency is just the transfer and exchange of that countrys assets in and between borders with other parts of the globe pretty much.  Thats usually how it goes with supply and demand I think, presuming we have capitalism which at present we dont with central banks and FIAT.

I agree, Bitcoin has so much potential its ridiculous. As soon as the cartels, catch on to Bitcoin it will add 100's of millions into the Bitcoin economy. Think about it, Columbia cocaine producers get a payment of bitcoins from mexico, no need to try and smuggle money through mexico into columbia.

bla..bla... bla... it determines my current feelings, bitcoin makes me frustrating but interesting to learn.
the price of gold that looks just can be monopolized certain parties, let alone the bitcoin that is not visible.
I realize this technology does not always exist, because it must be replaced with new technology.
I can not imagine if the bitcoin price becomes $ 10,000 by 2017 and maybe 2020 to $ 50,000 a pop. Shocked

june 05, 2011 is a long time when you think from 10 $ to $ 10,000, I'm curious about you?
are you a conjurer?  Grin

I'm not aiming to be a millionaire or even considered "wealthy" I only want to be able to help cover bills etc, hopefully in the future I might be able to help pay for my first car, who knows.

As I admire some of your passions that you guys have for Bitcoin, investing everyone dollar you own/make into Bitcoin could leave you in a very bad financial situation. If I can pressure you to not do this because I already pay enough taxes and I'm sick of paying for Welfare cell phones for undeserving fucks!Do a percentage of your income.  You could relate this percentage to what you would spend at a bar, or would you normally invest in your 401k or into stocks.   That money isn't really needed to keep you alive right now.

No doubt that bitcoin has delivered many successful and wealthy people, now they are in the top 100 richest people of the world and I'm sure there will be many new rich people from bitcoin, and I certainly hope that being a part of a new wealthy elite.
