Finally, Success! I wouldn't say it was easy, because since yesterday evening I've been trying to complete the procedure of claiming+donating... Funny, because I had no great problems with other versions of IRI. At first, I simply followed the instructions at http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/iota-testing-of-0-9-17-has-commenced/274/2 as it worked fine in previous versions. But this time it did not work. At the chat I was told the problem would be with my OS version or Java Version... I Updated everything, and as the problem continued, I tested another solution: Not following the above mentioned instructions. So I simply deleted everything, unzipped the IRI 0.9.17 file, and used the standard IRI and config (without touching config.iri or nodes.iri). Then, it seemed to have worked: Nostalgia asked me about the donation, I answered accordingly (5%). But, no answer... I waited for hours and received no return... So I deleted everything again, unzipped the original file and tried. But nostalgia didn't even seen to be working anymore. So I saw dominik's message at http://forum.iotatoken.com/t/iota-testing-of-0-9-17-has-commenced/274/32 with the instruction to use http://188.138.57.93/nostalgia.html instead of the standard nostalgia of the zip file.... I did it and, finally, it worked ^^ So, if my experience serves as a parameter: simply use the standard updated IRI zip file, except the nostalgia, that should be the one provided by dominik |

I have spent 6% of my ICO-Holding, what is more than 20% of my remaining holding (sold already a lot at pre-market)
So I have given the amount of 1'287'278'299'415 IOTA to the Foundation.
I hope others will follow here.
Thanks for blogging about IOTA in November, otherwise I would have never discovered it. So if you give 6% I have done the same 5 minutes ago. So 6% of my ICO-Amount are now transfered to foundation (inserted the 6% during claiming them) I hope we will ge to the target  |

No, they ask funds to push IOTA onto DEVICES. The role of the IOTA Foundation will be to actively engage companies and projects that can benefit from the technology and business opportunities that IOTA offers them. This include in-person meetings and presentations, going to IoT/fintech/crypto conferences and actively raising awareness through media.
The Foundation will consist of dedicated members with experience and expertise. Most importantly these members is required to have a significant amount of time dedicated to the work involved.
As this will be a half-time/full-time job at times the members will be compensated for travel and accommodation as well as a wage. In addition to this expenses will include potential fees to conferences and marketing material.
IOTA is not for human, it's for machines. |
