Can people scammed by these sellers ask BTT to provide logs of scammers to find out their IP adresses? They should try it, I guess.

Seems Child_Harold sold ~6x more than he originally had. So even with frozen funds everyone that didn't bother with escrow or verify that he indeed had the sums he claimed has lost about 80%

Are this many people really not using escrow?
prices were -50% of usual market prices and that lead so many to ignore safety.

I see a lot of guys wanting to sell big chunks of IOTA. Would appropiate if they also can donate some more together to fund the foundation 100%. Admiral_bit made the list of the trusted sellers

I have istalled the IOTA wallet 1.0.0. It looks good. But I have some questions:
My first question is what is seed/password? I can write anything and come in. Does it mean that if I write someone else seed I will get access to his IOTAS? If I log in with a short seed like "test" and people send IOTAs to it, will my IOTAs be accessible to all people that log in with "test" seed? Is an "account" in IOTAs only a long "seed" string of characters that is very unlikely to be repeated? So to get an "account" I just invent a random long string and use it as a seed?
Question 2. I following message: Add more nodes you only have 1. Try to add at least 7. What should I do about it?

- seed is a brainwallet yes so if you use "test" anyone else that uses that same phrase can access your account. Use 81 characters A-Z and number 9.
- Sign up to slack.iotatoken.com and come to the chat to ask for neighboring nodes.

Establishing the foundation is more urgent at this time. It is probably a good idea for you to donate for the foundation now and worry about the deals later since the foundation will handle it eventually.

1. Yes, it's called a brainwallet. Cryptography and probability ensure that when using 81 random characters, the entire population can continue to use unique seeds indefinitely with the same seed being used practically impossible. Think of the same person trying to win the lotto first division 100 times in a row. It's practically impossible.

Why do you talk about a limitation of big letters and number 9 and a lenght of 81 chars? What will happen if I use other characters as seed and shorter string?

I think lower case will be automatically converted to upper case and special letters and other numbers and spaces till to 81 will be converted to 9. For more information about iota https://iota.readme.io/v1.0/docshttp://forum.iotatoken.comwww.iotatoken.com

^Looks like this would be a big problem for newbies who don't know anything about IOTA, syncing the wallet seems too complicated. Is there some other way without the need to beg some nodes from someone?
