Started a new wallet and it shows the message, "the tangle is not solid" when attempting to generate a receiving address.

Started a new wallet and it shows the message, "the tangle is not solid" when attempting to generate a receiving address.

You need to have more reliable nodes.

Go here and ask for some, you need ~7 solid nodes:
https://iotatangle.slack.com/messages/nodesharing/

Make sure you also remove the 'null' nodes from your list as well.

You can check that under view Neighbor's Activity

I succeeded in making the client work properly. Here is how to do :

 - go on iotatangle.slack.com and iotatangle.slack.com and ask for node IPs
 - put the IPs in the Server Config
 - let it run for a while
 - ban the default node 188.138.57.93 from your list by changing the + into - like this :
Code:
-188.138.57.93

 - go to Neighbor's Activity menu and list the nodes that have the highest seenTransactions score
 - also list the nodes that have null attribute
 - ban those nodes by listing them with a minus sign in the Server Config

EDIT :

For ban to work properly "udp://" and ":14265" should be removed.

All seems to work perfectly after that, thank you :-)

Is 100% immutable? If not, for how long can it be replayed, canceled, rolled back after it has turned 100%?

UPDATE

Calling all my buyers

Come-from-Beyond has generously offered to send tx's on my behalf so that my buyers can get their IOTA pre-GUI wallet release.

You can generate your IOTA address by going to collect.iotatoken.com and following steps 1-3. PM me your IOTA address bearing in mind I may need extra authentication (via BTC microtx and/or email as originally stated)

You have approx till late Saturday/Sunday before this fast-track opportunity expires. I will try to get a fixed time.

If you do not proceed you will get your IOTA as originally planned, so do not worry if you see this late.

regards (and thanks CfB),
CH

IOTA is so potential, it will be in top 3 in less than one year in my opinion, just look and see.

The assumption (and likely truth) is that he's taken the money and ran.  Sorry about that if you didn't pay with escrow.

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.

No GUI, using curl. 1GB RAM VPS.
Today "transfer" fell out on me with a java out of heap space exception, transfer didn't pull through. Twice.

On to a 2GB VPS. This one's holding.

Do you volunteer? A C# client is under development, but we definitely need to continue expanding. So if you could make another one that would be great.

I can port the C# to C++ easily when its done, or contact C# guy and split the work, but first option is better I guess

there where talks about the possibility that cfb will distribute the tokens, if CH will not show up again. I don't know if that's still going to happen. There are clearly other priorities now.

tokens will be distributed, nevertheless better don't expect C_H to actually have all those tokens that he sold.

Greetings people affected by CryptoKnightt.

The iota team gave confirmation that transactions can be sent without fear of a rollback, as of 4 days ago(11/07/2016). To date, there has been no proof that CryptoKnightt has fulfilled any of his deals. So, I'd like to announce that his business dealings can be considered a scam.

I have started a list with people who have been scammed by CryptoKnightt.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nkN8o14zPhDYb2g4ReZ6IbyEAZV06f4xr6SuyVC0IYk/edit?usp=drive_web

Please pm me your transaction details with btc transaction Id and a screenshot/copy of your deal communication from btt with CryptoKnightt (for confirmation) and I'll add the details to the list. If you know someone who was affected, please send them this way.

It's unlikely we'll get anything from these dealings but it'll be good to have a record of how he was able to con from so many people and by how much. Will be good to reference if someone says they refuse escrow.

Regards.

Probably the equivalent for CryptoKnightt but his list wasn't accurate, so we'll see.
