I think there is nothing to count on resuming NBA games in the near future. Despite the fact that the epidemic is under control in China, all games are still suspended. Team representatives in China hope to return to normal competition in middle of April. The virus still spreading around US and there's no news regarding to when the league will resume. They are all concerned with the health of
everyone instead of planning the resume.
It's best to continue being safe than pushing everything without any assurance that the virus is already been controlled.

So do I. It has been a week already. The Lakers have not named yet those who test positive for the virus, I though theyr'e just waiting for the overall team test results. Testing will only take 3-5 days to identify your health status I guess?

There are still lot of players who are found with the virus but teams haven't announced the names yet.

I was waiting for the 2 lakers players who test positive for the Covid-19 but until now they didn't announce the names yet. I saw some posts on Facebook the other day and the other player's results are pending. the other teams have not yet announce the result of their players. I wonder what's going to the association not announcing the names of the players who are positive in Covid-19.

It might be a serious matter or either would cause a great damage to the NBA either if they announce the names of those affected? I don't know as well, because KD have a huge fanbase and been reportedly positive for covid-19.

4 players on Brooklyn as well has been reportedly positive. KD is one of them and the remaining 3 are still anonymous. It would interesting if someone have insights on what's going on...

China, because they are (unofficially) a regime, has kept society at home, thats why they take control over virus so fast. Unfortunately, but the culture of freedom in the United States may cause that the danger (which cannot be seen with the naked eye) will be neglected and the period of taking control of the virus may be significantly extended.
The most important is the health of people (not just players) so we should not push for the quickest resumption of the league, but for the most thorough examination and healing of all people.
However, maybe they'll come up with some safe form of sterilization at the entrance to the stadium, or it will be done just by PAY-PER-VIEW.

I have the same theory.
First of all, it might really not be from the exotic animals.
It might really be a weapon that leaked out.
They aint going to make it firsthand before they will create the antidote.
The antidote goes first before the virus or a poison.
This is created by man and not something that came from an animal.

Look how fast they can stabilize it.
Now, the real question. Will they share it free, right price or because of demand they will also soar the value of it?

Anyways, this are all just my own opinion. The vaccine must be shared faster.

There is no way they can come back with any number less than 50, they have to get at least a clearance of 100 and that number is HUGE right now because testing is still limited.

The testing is limited because we need it by the thousands every single day and there are only so many on production, we didn't even know there was this pandemic going around until few months ago, well there was china but the rest of the world was at ease, so actually finding a testing kit for it and manufacturing it is not easy, sure in the future we will be capable of making 100k of them a day but that won't be needed after few months anyway so the places that manufacturing this working overtime but won't be enough.

So, to think that you need 100 test kits that are very limited already for each game is idiotic. Just wait until this summer and play it with back to back squeezed in games, make the players play 5 games a week if you have to. Or better yet, cancel this season and start back up next season?

There are lots of conspiracy theories that this isnt came from animals but on a lab and i do even read up that 5G is attached to this one.
For now there are not evidences to these claims or theories.Either china is holding the vaccine or not, we cant do anything but to wait up.
We do really need cure for everything to go back to normal.Lots of things had been affected already specially this NBA season.

There has been news that I read confirming this virus is not a man made, so I hope they really are expert to give that statement.
If China had the vacccine, I guess they'll also help their allies and they could not do that to the use if they hate the US, but as of now, there has been no news about that so I want to believe that they don't have the vaccine yet.

The CBA was set to resume in mid-April after it was shut down back in January, that would be 4 months since it was stopped.

NBA has suspended its season on 11 March, added 4 months + a few weeks of training camp and we should expect some basketball action in August (best case scenario). That's gonna be a long wait...

There is no "cure that is hidden by china", literally a generic drug is good enough to cure everyone, it has been talked about for days now that there are 2 drugs, can't say their name because it was Latin as usual, when combined helps people cure in less than 6 days, if you start to give every single person that comes through the door with a fever those two drugs, you are basically saving everyone.

Right now, the "cure" is to keep people alive, the virus stays in your body for just a few weeks and during those few weeks people actually die because of the fever and not being able to breath, but if you keep them alive, it just recovers and virus goes away, so "staying alive" is literally the cure right now which kills a lot of people, with this new two drugs (not new to world, it was used for different stuff) works as planned, we will actually get rid of it by this summer for sure.

 There is a difference between china and rest of the world (maybe except Italy). Back when China first got it that became a trouble for them, for the rest of the world it was a threat but nothing major for a long time, now it is a thing for the whole world and there is already china recovered from it and france maaybe figuring out a cure. So I think it will not be another 4 months if you ask me for the rest of the world, I think we can see NBA basketball in July if they decide to continue but they really don't have to if you ask me.

 By logic if they start in July, I think they can play about 20 games in 30 days, if not probably 40 games at most. That way you can play the playoffs in 20-30 days as well and be done with the league by september and ready to start the new season by November or so, quite doable if they really want to. But we should all remember, this is human life we are talking about, we can not ask players to risk themselves and their loved ones to a virus by forcing them to play. So if NBPA decides to sit out this whole season, I will respect them and even agree with them on such a thing.

I know others are an enthusiast of reading conspiracies, even me as it was really interesting to read. It's fine as long as it will remain like that and no follow-up questions. Symptoms of the virus. Once fever keeps on going back then the person must be checked for Covid-19.

This is what hurts the most.
Our elderly cannot fight it anymore since they have a fragile body at their age.
