My top NBA players list is the following:

James Lebron
Leonard Kawhi
Giannis Antetokounmpo
James Harden

Why Durant is not included?

I thought he is one of the best in the NBA.

Well, I can't argue that is your picks, and it's your personal opinion..Maybe we can also add westbrook to the list since he once won an MVP award and this guy is very good that could average a tripple double if he wants too, now, the stats has dropped because he paired with James Harden.

I did not include him on the list because at that moment Durant is behaving badly  Grin. All the same, basketball is primarily a team game, if you know what I mean.

I actually hope they knew that already.
There will never be getting out once you are in.
Aren't the news already a proof of that and then the lockdowns and quarantines.
It should be a common sense to them.
I bet it was also written and they signed something about that rule.

For now, what they could show is more discipline.
They are professionals, maybe start acting like one.

Precisely. They need to comply taking this virus seriously, they don't need to do anything that might get the chance to infect them,
the spread can happen to quick so every precautions that they can do to avoid the virus should be taken place, they are professionals
so they really need  to show now.
Not though if there's contract that will lock them to this agreement, hope there's one to make it more strict.

I think it is understandable that security would allow players to go outside however they should not let them go inside..

What's the point of all these security measures if players will be allowed to go outside.

All things they need or requests can be asses by staff.

Simple as it is, "just follows the rules". No need actually for too many guidelines because after all, the player itself should understand and knows what to do. They know the reason why they are in the bubble in the first place.

Considering the salary these guys are getting paid, I'm surprised people don't understand that they're already getting a good deal by having their expenses paid during this whole "bubble" situation as well as being paid their NBA salary. They have every right to sit out this season and forfeit their salary/contract.

I mean if NBA do not force the rules, what do you expect the players to do? The smart ones are already at their places minding their own business, as you can see only very few of them are breaking the rules and rest of them are following the rules properly. Which is understandable, I mean %1 of a population doesn't understand why rules are rules and break them anyway and even more would break it if they knew they wouldn't be punished for it.

What can change this is NBA forcing their rules very strictly, if anyone makes a mistake nba should not only ban them from bubble but cut their salary in half, even more, just punish them millions of dollars and even community service if they have that type of rights. I mean we are talking about a player risking not only his own life, but also all the other players he will be in contact with, all the staf that works in the hotel and in the stadiums, and basically all other humans he is with, just becase... he wants a burger from outside?

I mean thats just silly, there are rules and they should be punished very strictly or they are free to go home, they are not forced there, just go home if you do not want to be in there with the others, nobody chained you there, your home is free and you can just ask for food delivery whenever you want when you are at home and you will be risking only yourself and people around you there, not the whole league.

Considering the salary these guys are getting paid, I'm surprised people don't understand that they're already getting a good deal by having their expenses paid during this whole "bubble" situation as well as being paid their NBA salary. They have every right to sit out this season and forfeit their salary/contract.

At the end of the day the decision is theirs whether they want to playback in this upcoming restart of the season or not. We also need to consider the other players with a low salary might facing difficulties about what is happening right now. maybe they will gonna find some way if the game will resume somehow. which is now possible because they announce the game will restart on July 31. However, if the risk is too high for them, I think they should consider thinking about the well-being of the players rather than fixing the unfinished season with this strategy.

If I am a player, I wouldn't complain of a low salary as I am still privilege to have a work despite of the increasing unemployment rate in the US.
NBA players are not really earning low, it's just that they already set their standard of living to "HIGH".

I think there is no reason for other players to feel discourage when it comes to income because we should be aware that the lowest salary for a NBA player is at $900,000. For me it is a big amount of money so there is no reason for them to say that they are not getting paid well.

The current season will be restart after all and the practice facility is now open again so the players are returning to their normal state for them to play like before but there are agents saying that the season should be cancelled because of the threat of the COVID 19. There is still no clear statement from the commissioner of the NBA.

1. We all have the same idea, so why can't they have the same view as ours?
Are they really that hard-headed?
2. Don't they love playing basketball that they need more?
3. Let's say it will take 3-4 months inside the bubble to finish this season and Finals. Is it really that long for an individual?
4. Will they rather stay at home and let their teammates do the job with their salaries being cut by management?

Freaking hammer to their heads to be thankful they had been given a chance to play again in a secured way rather than being fat at home again.

It's a good read. Thanks.

Surprising: Dennis Schroder
This guy really made it through.
With all the changes in their roster he still pursued and now one of the best in OKC.

Disappointing: Mike Conley
I have looked up to this guy when we are talking about offense.
He is one hell of a shooter.
I just don't know what happened to him. Is it age issue?

Disappointing: Kevin Love
Somehow, this is an error for me.
He might be disappointed but not disappointing.
He still have the touch. Just lacks the right roster to compete once again.

Agree with Barkley here if the Blazers would get back Nurkic and Zach Collins. Blazers is on a different level if Nurkic is on their line-up. They may have beaten the Warriors last year and played in the Finals if Nurkic was not injured.

Disagree with you and Barkley here Cheesy

While I agree that Blazers will be stronger with Nurkic and Collins, keep in mind that those two players were away for a long time. Collins got injured last November, and situation with Nurkic was even worse, so I don't expect them back at their previous level immediately. Nurkic could even be on minutes restriction considering his injury and time being away.

To be honest, even if all those players are at their full health, I wouldn't consider them favorites against this Lakers.

There are some guys here who have participated in mass gatherings in the past like the recent street protests. Now, they've also endangered the lives of their friends/teammates/family.

But regardless of the current numbers, it seems NBA retart will still push through.

Agree with Barkley here if the Blazers would get back Nurkic and Zach Collins. Blazers is on a different level if Nurkic is on their line-up. They may have beaten the Warriors last year and played in the Finals if Nurkic was not injured.

I agree to this one. Injuries and time lost of not playing is a proven thing in NBA that somehow depreciates player's capability. Enough said  Grin. But don't get me wrong those two guys were a great addition if they weren't not suffering anything. And I believe they still would soon with a proper workout or whatever is that just like any other.

The set-up is almost finish, I think so? And those who won't be able to participate in bubble have their replacement prepared already. And as long as the majority remains uninfected and healthy inside the stadium, I don't think they need to bother themselves cancelling the game. Few more days of waiting, and we will be able to see 'em back in action again... I'm so excited, damn  Grin.

I am with you, Lakers are on a different level and Blazers are messing up now, not sure what's the reason, could be Melo's arrival or could be anything.
They aren't the same Blazers, but if they'll qualify in the 8 spot, I would still love to see them, but then I would not expect they'll upset the Lakers which will likely their possible rival in the first round.

Yeah, it is one thing to go through 1-2 rounds of playoff and beating 3-6th seeded team, (something that Blazers are capable of) and completely different to beat main title contenders, no matter who the got back on the roster. It is simply not realistic, and I think Barkley said that just to get some attention.

More bad news, Zion Williamson left Orlando bubble due family issues. Let's hope everything goes well with his family and he stays there less than 1 week, otherwise he might miss season restart, and that means no Pelicans in the playoff

Quote
We fully support Zion's decision to leave the NBA campus to be with his family," Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations David Griffin said in a statement. "Out of respect for the Williamson family, we will have no further comment at this time."
If his absence lasts seven days or fewer, Williamson will quarantine for four days upon his return to the NBA bubble if he has a negative test each day he's outside the bubble

If he is gone longer than a week, he will still quarantine for four days if he has a negative test for the final seven days he is gone. If he doesn't have the required testing, he will quarantine for 10 days.

Oh God.
I thought this will all go smoothly and now more bad news are popping out.
Anyway, something is missing out of the report of NBA and ESPN.
For me it is a somehow important.
USAToday added it.

Quote
According to the NBA's health and safety protocols, all players are expected to remain on campus. Yet, the protocols say that players can leave for extenuating circumstances and “only with prior league approval for such extenuating circumstance."
This is just to avoid jealousy and thinking about special treatment for other players like Zion.

Good day everyone!

I want to share with you this article, it's worth a read ,

The most surprising and disappointing NBA players of the 2019-20 season

I am fully surprise with the surprising players in the list, Jayson Tatum and Bam Adebayo is my favorite this season.

It's a good read. Thanks.

Surprising: Dennis Schroder
This guy really made it through.
With all the changes in their roster he still pursued and now one of the best in OKC.
That's because CP3 is a good facilitator, he was really good back in Atlanta Hawks, when transferred to OKC, things change for him maybe due to WB who just think of his improvement, like the stat padding thing .

Mike Conley is not anymore on his prime and his contract will soon expire, hopefully that will open up a cap for the young Jazz players like Clarkson.
Playoff time soon, Mike Conley has a great experience so hopefully he can help his team with that.
