How the hell do you think those big colleges sign the big stars all the time while the best colleges and nearest schools can't? Of course they get paid, they get paid like crazy all the time and that is always done under the radar. A superstar NFL or NBA potential player usually comes and goes from and to the school with a superb looking fast car, a college kid can't afford that, his family doesn't have that kind of money neither, so how did he somehow got that car? Working at mcdonalds?

I think if the schools are making profit from these kids, they should also be paying them as well, these kids are going out there working hard for the school to get full ticket sales and TV rights and jersey sales and so forth making millions of dollars as the coaches make over 5 million dollars in salary while the kids get paid zero.

Now almost every star players have their problems to resume playing this season. I guess he won't gonna play again this season, they are better to rest him off until next season to fully condition him like Curry and Thompson. Lilliard and the others who don't want to play again should take some intense practice to further improve their skills to give us the best of their version next year.

Too early to say Zion won't play once NBA resumed. If you read the shared news, I don't see how's that case will able to suspend Zion from coming back to play.

And for Lillard and the Blazers, they should play. NBA is a professional league and a player or team can't just say, "we don't want to play".

Who's the other star players that have a problem playing this season? Aldrige? Yes, injured. But the majority of other stars will play.

I read the news too, it didn't say that Zion will not play in the NBA, it's just a battle of lawsuit and there's no verdict on the case yet, so he can still do what he normally do, the bottom line of the news is all about money, it can be settled anyway if the camp of Zion will see in the trial period that they might lose the case, that's my opinion.

You have to realize NCAA and NBA are two different companies and organizations, just because you did something on NCAA doesn't mean you will be suspended on NBA as well. At least thats how it should be, could NCAA sue you? Sure why not they care try that, however NBA is totally different and not related to them at all, so if you even used drugs, cheated your way in, got millions, none of it should matter because in the end you basically got over it and no longer there, you are now in NBA and thats a different place and if you are doing everything by the book for NBA that means you should not be suspended in NBA for something everybody does in college. Whats next? Suspending an NBA superstar because he cheated on a college exam?

Everything is possible as mainstream medias can ruined his career knowing how this reporters can  damage his name placing
unpleasing reports in regards to this matter.
But you are correct in terms of this two organizations they've got different rules and since He already playing inside NBA the
verdict can be different.

The matter is how he's legal team settle this from medias and how they will protect his name in order for him to keep his place
to this league, He proves he's value with how he played
even he only got short period from this season but it's value the team after he started to play.
surely the franchise will value that.

I think Lakers os Clippers will be champions this season. If you choose between two, then probably Lakers more.

Underestimating the Bucks and Toronto.
Remember, the Raptors are still a solid team despite the fact that they lost their best player from last season.
Still too early to say the Lakers or the Clippers will become the 2020 NBA champion.

~snip~

I'm really concerned if this season will continue this year or not, because what if the whole team has been infected and didn't recover until the appointed time of when they resume the game back. I think it's so hard to think about that right now because to resume the game we need to see the 30 teams be complete or else the NBA games as we know will never be the same this season.

I was thinking the same considering there's some superstars who are attending the protest in some parts of america. There is a huge chance they'll catch the virus from the crowd of people in the protest.
Anyway, lets leave it to the NBA management on how they would handle cases like these. Rest assured, they are making every step to get rid of catching the virus.

I agree, which is why I am rooting for another team too.  Grin
Will it hurt their feelings if I say Mavericks will be the champ this year?  Grin

As I told yesterday, this was just about money.
Nothing about the suspension.
These are agencies that are playing tag for Zion.

Nah, I'm quite scared with the Mavericks too  Cheesy. Luka played very well this season, and I feel he'll do much better in the remaining 8 games upto playoffs (though too early to conclude). Well, Porzingis is good as well  Smiley. If it weren't about Luka they won't get close to bounding in, in this coming playoffs, note their last was 2015-16 season.

Look at his stats:

It is too good to ignore. We don't know how far this young man can go. In addition, he's a type of guy worth rooting for, and that is for certain. I just idolize Bron that much but if I'll pick another team I'd go with Luka's  Grin.

Playoffs is going to be different, Dallas Mavericks is already guaranteed with the playoff spot but they will be tested in the playoffs.
Luka alone can't make his team successful but what they showed this season is very impressive as they don't fully rely on Luka alone, I believe in them, they are full of young and hungry roster and I believe they will give a good fight of whatever teams they will play in the playoffs.

Everything is upward.  Wink
I didn't really notice that. I am just looking at how he plays the game which is already proof that something in him changed.
Porzingis will be a key factor here since he can now shoot everywhere. With that height, he won't be easy to reach.
He just needs to be careful with injuries.

Actually, the pieces are almost complete with Seth, Tim Jr., Powell, Kleber, etc..
It's a strong roster. It is just chemistry which they lack but with Luka as facilitator they might have a chance.

I fully agree with colleagues above, Dallas has a really good and interesting roster. No one needs to be convinced how much Luka brings to the team, but Mavs showed in this season that they can do well also without their leader. Doncic has missed 13 matches and the team won 7 of them. It's still a play-off balance.
Personally, I support this boy very much. I like his style and easy on the pitch. You can see how much he enjoys playing.

Do not really get too excited about these type of stats anymore, the talent pool is a lot bigger right now and players are a lot more talented these days. However one thing is for sure that the pace is very high as well. Just 15 years ago it was normal to face a game with under 70 points, you could have seen games with 68-64 as results, or more commonly games that are in 70's and 80's.

There was talks about how pistons kept their opponents under 70 points for some games in a row and all that. Look at the scores these days, everyone scores 140+ at least couple of times and the averages reaching to 120+ points per game on teams. So that results with more shots, more points, more assists, and more misses so more rebounds. I am not saying these players are bad, I am just saying the era loves stats a lot more than it used to.

Watching him playing, it seems like basketball is a fun game and he is just playing it effortless but in the end, you'll just be surprise that he will tally a triple double, he ball handling isn't that fancy though but he has a very high IQ in the court and that makes his teammates better, he is actually a good example of a star team player, so I hope he will be healthy all throughout the remaining of the games this season and off season.

He almost average a triple double this season,

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/doncilu01.html

People like him because he was an underrated player and until that hype keep boosting him and at a young age, we can already say that he is already successful with his career, and Dallas benefited on that success as he boost the standing of Dallas too.

With KP and him playing consistent in the playoffs, Dallas are worth risking our money.

Still,...not enough to win this leagues.
Though I was really hoping Dallas could get up for they have a good team to be honest, its just that Lakers has its time to shine right now.

We never know upset happens, and I understand that you are a Laker fun, lol...
Maybe let's hope that Dallas and Lakers will not face in the first round, so it will be more exciting especially if Dallas wins and they will take the Lakers in the 2nd.

Lakers has a better record against Dallas (HEAD TO HEAD), that's why I don't like them to face each other in the first round.

Nah, I'm quite scared with the Mavericks too  Cheesy. Luka played very well this season, and I feel he'll do much better in the remaining 8 games upto playoffs (though too early to conclude)

Well, Luka on the other hand is an excellent young player, but in my opinion, there are still a lot better team than the Mavs. Houston and Denver are doing pretty well this season and they are well experienced in the playoff pressure. The only reason why I mentioned those teams in the East, is because either one of them would face the conference champion in the West.
I'm not ignoring the fact that Luka is such a very good player and a good tandem with Porzingis, but IMO, this isn't the time yet for them to dominate the league. The Western conference got a lot of powerhouse team.

It is too good to ignore. We don't know how far this young man can go. In addition, he's a type of guy worth rooting for, and that is for certain. I just idolize Bron that much but if I'll pick another team I'd go with Luka's  Grin.

Luka and Porzingis sure is a hall of famer. They are one of the next face of the NBA. I admire Luka for his basketball IQ and certainly I will be cheering at him when LeBron retires  Grin.

Anyway, have guys read an article about Luka getting out of shape? His trainer Jure Drasklar confirmed it. Though his trainer told the media that "it's just normal". Im still curios about this and I can't find any reliable source that posted a photo proof.

There's a clarification behind that "out of shape" thing, confirmed by Tim Cato's twit from his last conversation with Luka's trainer. So, it seems there was a misunderstanding with that statement  Huh.

According to this twit from Tim Cato:
https://twitter.com/tim_cato/status/1271207910194982915?s=19

And so I look around to see what shape is Luka in. This is what I got from his latest IG story.

Source from his profile: https://instagram.com/lukadoncic?igshid=13kilcler1avn

He looks fine and well. He doesn't look like he lose weight nor he gain either. He looks the same, maybe he maintained his body that very well unlike Harden, and Jokic. They really went into big transformation  Shocked. Can't wait to see them play with such body  Grin.

Oh yeah! I read about the Jokic news here hours ago.
Covid19 virus gave him a lot of time to change his shape.  Grin

Regarding Jokic, I can't wait to see how fast he moves next time he plays. I hope he's building some muscles already.
At first, I thought his before and after pic was just a meme. He looked like Porzingis at first glance.

~ Just 15 years ago it was normal to face a game with under 70 points, you could have seen games with 68-64 as results, or more commonly games that are in 70's and 80's.
I'm not taking away the shooting skills of players today but we can all agree that rule changes allowed them to score more points. Some fouls today were considered good defense years ago. The game evolves.

Looking at the picture shared, he doesn't look good IMO.

It seems like has gone through a depression problem where he forgot how to eat, damn.

Nuggets is a good contender and Jokic is one big reason for their success, but with that body, I think he can easy be dominated in the inside.
Pardon me, I'm just so disappointed by how he looks now, hopefully I'm wrong when the season re-opens.
