What is everyones thoughts about Zion joining the league?  I read that alot of people are predicting him to be rookie of the year!  I really liked watching him play for Duke and was by far one of my favorite college players!

Playing in Duke and in NBA is a very different thing. He can be a superstar in College but NBA is a different level. There are lots of first draft pick that went bust before. I hope he is not just all hype and he can handle the pressure of playing in NBA. Then there is an issue with his knees. I hope he is not another rookie who never proved themselves because of injuries.

Right, there's a lot of top pick who got busted because it's either they can't really adjust to the NBA playing style. With this height, I'm sure he will be get bang a lot by the big boys, he is super athletic and I'm sure there will be players who are going to challenge him when he goes inside and go for a dunk. Or because of his knee problems, he can't really play 100% and fans and management will be disappointed with the numbers his putting.

We can wait until the regular season starts, there is a reason why he is the number 1 pick, so let's hope he will be able to make pelicans an exciting team.
Who knows what this kid could bring, it will be a surprise if this season the Pelicans will be in the playoffs.

Exactly, and based on his performance last game, he is truly and exciting players very big but he is agile. But he needs to adjust to NBA playing style though, I saw some glimpse of him being bodies by someone and he has a hard time fighting for it. They could be in the playoffs not because of him but there are a lot of good players in the Pelicans uniform this season.

Now how says he can't shoot? LOL..  He made it but I don't like to count it, I would officially start counting in the regular season as that's what you called a real game. This guy is good inside but his jump shooting is aweful and I think he understands the competition that's why he develop himself and hopefully we will see some more when the regular season finally starts.

It's a good start for him to build his confidence shooting outside, even it's not the regular season yet but if he keeps on doing this and make it a regular part of his skills, it will be an addition to his greatness. He's still young and many more improvements can take place, Remember that when MJ start changing his game style he became more dangerous. Good luck to him, Lets wait if he will fire it out in the regular season.

Historic shot for the 76ers basketball, it's three years in the making after all. It will up there with Dr. J's iconic dunks and reverse lay ups or AI's crossovers (and step over Ty Lue). 

I don't think that this should be considered as a historic feat in 76'ers basketball history. Not even in the top 10 in my opinion. Those two you mentioned is really iconic because it was done in the spurs on the moment.

But it could be a consider as Simmons personal achievement but not something that could be consider as historic. The Daryl Dawkins dunk that shattered the back board (pre-Shaq era) was one of the best.

Let's see how Simmons progress in his outside shooting. This could be added in his arsenal to be 2-3 steps behind king James as he is compared to him.

We have big men shooting 3's, so it's good to see him making improvements this season. I also think that Lonzo Ball did change his shot specially on how the way he releases his 3's during a pre season game they have against the Hawks.

They called it a lucky shot but that's still counted and they loss in the series.
I really thought that game would go into OT and the Sixers will win as I bet on them in that series but Leonard was really though enough to beat.

He is an all star but he is not in the level of Kawhi yet, of course he is still young and he can still improve as he has the length but he just lack the consistent shooting, 3 point shooting is truly a standard now as even Gasol is a good 3 point shooter already and he was able to help his team earn their first NBA championship.

Hong Kong people are still fighting for their life and people are protesting on the streets every single day and want their freedom back from the mainland, whereas China is soo dictatorial about it that they are banning ALL NBA related stuff just because one GM tweeted one thing, now think about this for a second, if these guys are banning all NBA related stuff just for one tweet, try to understand how Chinese people live themselves, there is literally not a single person who is allowed to criticize the government there, you and your family all will be killed.

This was a weird event for him to put out a tweet supporting the hong kong protesters and china now is saying they will not be showing any nba games because it.
He has since removed his tweet but it still remains the same and he actually made an apology in chinese which I havent viewed but why do this?

All these preseason games are being broadcasted out of china from what I witnessed wanting to watch the raptors play this morning but it was the 4th quarter at 7am in the morning.

The tweet from what I saw was a symbol for democracy. There were black and white blocks stacked on top of each other and another association of some kind in support of the protestors in hong kong. But has since been removed due to the backlash it has created to his job and for the entire nba being hosted by them for the preseason games.
Which has resulted in them not televising the game tonight for the lakers.
It will cost the nba they estimate hundreds of thousands of missed revenue from advertising and endorsements just for this one single game not being viewed by millions across the globe.

Average 10% of the whole NBA revenue came from China - might be a big loss but the NBA can cover it surely.

China was really sensitive to this issue but it doesn't mean they need to overreact for just 1 tweet and instead just focus their disappointment to the one who tweeted. Rockets manager just shows his support to HongKong as anyone has a privilege to do it but in return, China cancels all the upcoming NBA activities involving Nets and Lakers e.g donations, support for special Olympics and their upcoming pre-season match which is scheduled today (China time).

That was several seasons in the making, trolls and memes creator will be really happy with this lol.

Ben Simmon is one of the athletic young point guards today that don't need to score on a rainbow area but still can give his team a good production. Seeing him making a shot like that will make Philly a much-improved team. But I don't want to overreact on that single shot and because that was a pre-season game, maybe he is not serious making that shot. We will see if he will make more attempts this once season starts.

For the record, Ben Simmons now has 17 field goals attempt overall on his official career (2017-2019) and never made a successful one. The one he made recently wasn't counted on his professional stats since it was a pre-season game.

Man, I can't believe at Lonzo Ball's performance he's shooting threes now with higher accuracy. I guess that his training is finally paying off. His shot is quite centered now unlike when he entered the NBA, his shot came from the left that made it unorthodox.

I love Lonzo and seeing him improving his threes now is really impressive.

It's just a single pre-season game, let's not over-react. His shooting form has indeed changed and it looks a lot more natural and clean, something he was advised to do back in his rookie season two years ago.

Actually I'm wondering right now if is it really hard to correct those arms while shooting I mean, look at bigger players such as Lebron and Lopez, they can shoot with higher accuracy despite of their tall height.

IMO Zion is better and will definitely exceed what Lonzo achieved so far. I watched their game and he is really strong, I can't see the attitudes of being a rookie at all. And for that, he really deserved to be called No. 1 draft pick .

Lonzo is trash, he has a decent handle but the rest of his game is not very good.  He is a good bench player.  Zion is in a whole different league than lonzo when it comes to skill, zion struggles with the free throws too but not that bad.  His vision and ability to create his own space is levels above lonzos as well.  Pels were lucky to land #1 this year

I am not so familiar with that one, I know know Allen Iverson though I didn't follow basketball a lot that time.
I think I started getting interested in NBA when I finished my studies because after graduation, I started working right away and you know when you are earning already, you'll think of ways to spend it and fell in love with sports betting, NBA in particular.

Regular season is near. Tbh I am not that interested on betting regular games in the NBA. The most exciting part starts in the last 2 weeks of the regular season up to the finals. Where every single game is very important to win.

The odds are favoring the Clippers. But I think the Lakers are the real favorites. Lakers have the good players to support LBJ and AD. LBJ is gifted that many star players invited joined him.

I am not really a fan of star studded teams that aren't original. So i'll be cheering on Jokic's Denver Nuggets.
