We dont have the rights though on how these players should spent up their money since they've earned it on the first place and also its impossible that they wouldnt be aware on having some investment
when they are still on their career times where they do earn those multi-millions.

Some do managed their finances well and some do spent just like theres no tomorrow or shall we say, unwise spendings but since their their money then its none of our business.

They would only realize that they had done such wrong thing when they do already experience hardships in life when it comes to finances.

Luol Deng was not even a star player but he is wise in managing his funds, I believe he hired some fund manager to invest his money and look at him now, he is one of the richest and successful NBA players. Some would just use their money on entertainment without thinking the risk of getting injured and might not able to continue their career, NBA is not forever, hence making money in the league is not forever and they should learn how to invest the good amount of money they are earning.

Usually someone like him hires a fund manager but it's wiser if he's the one and his wife manages it. I don't know the background of Deng. But his investing skills is good. There were a lot of them including Kobe.

AFAIK, he's already good and Reebok saved him just this year.

He made a very clever investment. Some basketball players play at NBA for many years and lose all their money within a few years after retiring. Even if he doesn't play basketball in his future life, he will have an enjoyable life Cheesy
That's an admirable mindset, I hope every NBA player would also realized their future rather than enjoying only the current situation without thinking of the future's possible bad scenario they will be into.

I'm sure many basketball players also make bitcoin or similar investments Smiley

I know one.

Mavericks' J.J. Barea: Back with Mavs.

Quote
Barea signed a one-year, $2.6 million guaranteed contract with the Mavericks on Friday,

He did contribute very well during his stint with Mavs, and since he is back, I'm sure he can come out from the bench and could spark some rally specially if he still have that magic touch in 3's (which I think he does at his age).

I remembered those funny clips with him and Luka.

He won'thave any problem with the chemistry, he can simply blend with his old pals and play the type of game he have.
He's killing 3 pointer would be very effective knowing the type of Luka creating the play, once he penetrate he also have
a lots of sight finding the best open man, for that J.J will benefits.

I think that is J.J. Barea's home the Mavericks, he enjoyed his best season with the team and if I'm not mistaken he was part of the team when they won the championship back in 2010-2011 so it's just a going back home party for him.

And yes, he could come from the bench if needed and there will be no chemistry issue, he just need to familiarised with new plays and rotation.

Here's the preseason scheduled of the NBA.

https://www.nba.com/news/nba-releases-2020-21-preseason-schedule

Quote
NEW YORK – The NBA today released its game schedule for the 2020 preseason, which will tip off on Friday, Dec. 11 and conclude on Saturday, Dec. 19.

That's only two weeks from now, the preseason seems to be a regular season to me since I can't wait to see the NBA to come back.

More news about NBA players who are into crypto.

NBA Players Andre Iguodala, Spencer Dinwiddie, Javale McGee, and Aaron Gordon join Samsung, Coinbase Ventures, and the Cultural Leadership Fund, in Dapper Labs $12M investment round for Flow blockchain

If more and more players will be in crypto, then I guess they will be a big influence that would help crypto adoption.
Imagine NBA accepting bitcoin for purchase of tickets and NBA souvenirs, I think that's a big news and will create some buzz in the market.

Kings sign free agent Hassan Whiteside

They might have declined to match the offer for Bogdanovic but they got a big man now.
Fox, Hield, and Whiteside.
They need more firepower now that they have a rebounder on the inside.
I think this will build a lot of confidence with the outside shooters.
Just having the thought of someone trying to take the offensive rebound will make them shoot more.
Defense? Not a problem for Whiteside too, which averages 2.9 blocks.

Kings sign free agent Hassan Whiteside

They might have declined to match the offer for Bogdanovic but they got a big man now.

Nice catch for the Kings, Whiteside will certainly improve more in a team that he is gonna be a starter, with his defensive minded style, it will help the Kings to be more competitive in games. They fail to enter in the playoffs last season, maybe they have a chance this season.

Looking at Whiteside's stats, I still see it as consistent, but he has different impact on different, so hopefully Kings will become his permanent home.

Honestly there were too many trades, few draft picks that were good but I doubt it would be big deal, and it was also free agency craze as well, I have seen all of them, I have checked famous places with lists of all the trades and free agencies and all that, yet I keep forgetting some stuff. Biggest news this year is that Lakers are getting deeper and deeper.

Right now, they have point guards of schroeder and caruso, shooting guard of KCP and JR, SF of lefreackingbron james, and kuzma, PF of AD and Morris, and Center of gasol and harrel. That is literally 10 person deep roster. I am sure schroder/kcp/caruso trio will exchange places all game with anyone else taking very limited minutes, and lbj/kuzma/ad will switch places a lot with Morris playing not too much. However this is really too deep to even joke about, they can play 10 players, 24 minutes each and they wouldn't be still a good team with bench getting minutes.

Since new season has come, we have to consider a lot of new factors that can change the result of the game. As a good gambler, we have to make sure that we maximize our rate of winning because we are not just a risk taker, we are also win desperate even if we only have a small earnings with that. More risk more reward is really a good thing if you have trust on yourself but if you are just a beginner to that gambling then you have to make sure that the victory is yours.

LUOL DENG is a rich guy, he is one good example of an NBA player who knows how to manage his finances.
He is out in basketball, not a problem with him as he already have invested in different business on the money he earn through his career.

LUOL DENG: BASKETBALL'S $125 MILLION REAL ESTATE MAGNATE

These players really know how to handle money since some of them started from nothing. They know on how to properly utilize their money so they would not worry about the things of tomorrow which is not normal for some players since that really needs discipline. Having a business while playing basketball would be really helpful once you retire.

If more and more players will be in crypto, then I guess they will be a big influence that would help crypto adoption.
Imagine NBA accepting bitcoin for purchase of tickets and NBA souvenirs, I think that's a big news and will create some buzz in the market.

To be honest I don't think it will affect anything. Every piece of news about bitcoin a few years ago was valuable, but now everyone knows about bitcoin and other crypto currencies anyway. The sale of tickets in bitcoin remains a news that we will see only on a few news sites and twitter.
Hope we can use btc everywhere but it doesn't matter Smiley

Yeah. Damn, they can all be rested well even in a game.  Grin
Clippers are trying to rebuild too and I guess they will try to match this Lakers team.
But, I doubt that.
Lebron and AD combination is like the Great Wall and then they strengthen it with the addition of Harrell.
It will be difficult to break through that kind of offense and defense.
I said that. Lebron can do "D" if he will concentrate. We all saw how he shut down Murray even when he's on fire.
And now they added firepower. Ergh, even the Nets will have a hard time defeating them.

Mavericks have now 16 players on rooster. When season start one will have to be cut off. Speculations are that Barea was sighed just to increase pressure on new guard rookies in the training camp. And when season start he will be become one of assistant coaches. Maybe Mavs also want he plays a farewell game that was impossible to make last year because of covid-19 pandemic and playoff bubble in Orlando.

This is true, before Durant is stoppable but if they will ever meet the Lakers in the finals, they don't have to double Durant as Lebron will take care of the business and Lakers also has a lot of good guards that could slow down Kyrie Irving.
