Meanwhile, Victor Wembanyama just made a remark saying the NBA is less physical than his games in Europe. We can't blame him for that since he hasn't experienced the real one yet but I'm pretty sure some US players who read that are going to get a piece of him. He's in for a rude awakening hehe. Exactly, I’m starting to doubt him due to his recent opinion since Spurs is currently at the bottom of the standings. I wonder if he can play even a full quarter on NBA regular season especially against hard core big man like Giaanis, Jokic and Embiid. I'm sure that his hamstring will gonna ache much once he receive consecutive blows on a real physical game. He even struggling on summer league. I think his comment is just to boost his morale since people is expecting a lot on him while he can't display a very dominant performance to carry his teammates.

A bit of a Hollywood drama for everyone; Apparently Britney Spears tried to run behind Victor Wemby and take a photo, but as soon as she reached him the guards protected him and not recognize Britney spears, which could happen I understand that.
She claims she was thrown to ground, which from the video looks like it didn't happen, she was just swatted away which is still a serious thing of course but so is running behind an NBA player to take a pic, if it was a random person we would understand why it wasn't allowed but because it's Britney spears it became a much bigger thing than it needed to be, and I am pretty sure that there will be Britney Stans everywhere constantly trying to find a weakness in wemby forever now, a hard career start for sure. He has nothing to do with it by the way, it was between her and his bodyguard, but because HE hasn't apologized for something he hasn't done, she still attacks him.

Ja Morant's best friend Davonte Pack has been arrested. An 18-year-old was assaulted at Ja Morant's house. There has been no charge yet against Ja Morant. Things haven't been going well for Ja Morant lately.
Even though it's not directly him, but rather his friends, it can still reflect poorly on him. He really needs to distance himself from that circle he's currently involved with because his future is at risk. At such a young age, he has the potential to earn much more than he currently does. He just needs to ensure that he sets a good example for others and makes positive choices for himself. Exactly. He need to find other people to surround him because if that same circle will be with him in the next couple of years, he will not improve as a human being and his status of being an active NBA player will put to risks because his name will always be involved whenever he or his friends did commit something illegal. It will be very unfortunate if his future will be gone just because of his childish act, he need to pull himself together if he still wanted to play in the league for at least a decade. I mean at a certain point I'm wondering where his parents are at, at this point. Dude obviously has a lot of growing up to do and needs a positive role model to be around 24/7. Not gonna lie its gonna be tough for him since that is all he seems to know. He is risking it all but he wouldn't be the first nor last person to do that. Sad. Unfortunately, that is the reality especially if you grew in a neighborhood where there is a huge chance that you will be influenced about what they are doing. For Ja Morant, it's not that he grew poor but while growing up, he made a choice to be relevant in his generation even if that means that he will be doing some stuffs that is not really likeable when he grows older and indeed, that happens right now to him. Well, he still have some chance but those chances are not unlimited so he better think twice.

Everyone talking about Ja Morant and thought neighborhoods or lack of role models is absolutely crazy. He grew up in a rich neighborhood, went to private school, his parents are still happily married and judging from the pictures of them growing up, their household was not in any way gangsta. This being hard stuff happened after they all got money and wanted to play pretend Scarface. That’s why he has teenagers at his house he’s bullying. This is going to end badly for him if he keeps playing a fake role and it won’t be loss of sponsors.

As for whether Victor can play against other big guys, I think he will have a hard time in the paint because guys like Jokic and Embiid weigh a lot more than Victor, and they will probably dominate him.

His eyes are still close when it comes to the reality inside the NBA, it will be more believable if those comments came from Nikola Jokic or Giannis Antetokounmpo. But since the comment came from a kid who just played two mere games in the summer league and just got drafted this summer, it's still too premature for him to give that since he haven't got the experience what it feels like if you play in normal games inside the normal season. Now, after this comment, I know coach Pop didn't liked it and because of that comment, it will be safe to say that some of the players in the league will target him to open his eyes about the reality. So, to you Victor Wembanyama, good luck to your rookie days.

I agree with you that it might be tough for them placing him as they already have lots of scorers who can give them good offense. And same with the Warriors, though let see if what's the next update about Wood we never know which team will sign him.
The Lakers faced the Nuggets because they were a strong team, with the Nuggets holding the top spot during the season while the Lakers barely made it to the playoffs. From my personal observation, what seemed to be lacking for the Lakers at that time was support for Davis. While Davis could effectively guard Jokic, he appeared to be burdened with both scoring and defensive responsibilities, leading to potential fatigue. It might have been beneficial for Davis to focus on one specific role, whether it be offense or defense, in order to maximize his impact. That is true! The Denver Nuggets held the top seed for quite a long time until the season ends because it's like they have got the perfect team and right players to do the job without having someone in the team to carry some of their responsibilities, other than that, height is quite a factor as well because it is clear that the Lakers are having a hard time defending their rim from the Nuggets attacks, leaving Lebron and Davis to be the primary players to do everybody else's job.

James Harden has stated again that he wants to be traded to the Sixers management. Harden wants to leave the team, Los Angeles Clippers are being considered for a trade, but there is no progress at the moment.
Harden is not a special player anymore. He is more a liability IMO as anyone who takes him has to worry that they will be the 4th team he wants traded from. He's not worth the risk or the money. I agree with you on this. It used to be very good, but now it's not like that. James Harden has stated again that he wants to go to the Clippers next season. What players can the Clippers give up for him, what drafts can they give up?

The PR of Mat Ishbia is surely slow. Why only answer now? It was already a month when Chris Paul said that about the Isiah Thomas having a role about kicking him out. "When decisions are made in the organization, (team president of basketball operations and GM) James Jones, myself, (CEO) Josh Bartelstein, (head coach) Frank Vogel, our executive team make decisions. Outside people don't have any role in our decision-making process. They never have, they never will. I've asked for advice from a lot of people, specifically Tom Izzo, Isiah Thomas, Mateen Cleaves, Charlie Bell. I talk to a lot of people, but honestly, on this situation, not one of those people were consulted on this decision." https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/suns-owner-mat-ishbia-denies-that-isiah-thomas-had-anything-to-do-with-chris-paul-trade/Well, what's done is done, and explaining things will just heighten the issue, he actually revived the buried discussion. I think CP3 is happy with where he is now, if the Suns' new owner doesn't like him then do so. He cannot actually do anything about it. And I doubt Isiah Thomas is going to lose his job on NBA TV even if it is proven true or not. That's one power of being a Hall of Famer and there's no way anyone can prove it if the discussion is only with Mat and Isiah, they could just keep it a secret for the rest of their lives. If I am the owner of the Suns I'd rather keep it silent, explaining this things will just damage his reputation.

Perhaps he doesn't meant that way though, he is still a kid so give him some slack. Of course the big test for him is against those big guys in the league right now, like the reigning MVP Joel Embiid and former MVP and NBA champion Jokic. Let us give him some time to digest what NBA style of playing is. Even Luka says that it's easy to score in the NBA than in Europe and it's true to some sense as we have seen Luka giving us some numbers in the last couple of years.

But a posterized dunk or just simply blowing by him or even blocking Wemby's shot. Shaq will destroy anyone if he is playing in this era. No one can match up against this huge guy in the NBA and all they gonna do is foul him and made him shoot FT. Otherwise no one can go 1:1 with him in the paint, not even Joel in my opinion.

Reports are coming out stating that James Harden is done in a Sixers uniform. Apparently he has had some disagreements with the GM of the Sixers and doesn’t want to play in Philly anymore. Shocker, Harden and Kyrie Irving can’t find places to be happy… People close to Harden are saying he has his heart set on playing for the Clippers this season.

There's nothing that can be changed now. What's done is done. Better to keep it that way and whatever the reason behind they should keep it and never to discuss it again. Or, just be in silent and let the speculation kill itself, they just going to ruin the business or if they are thinking that negative publicity still a count as publicity, then it's up to them to handle this kind of issue. Nothing will change though as the decision is already done and they already part-ways that's already concluded.

If it will gonna cost Norman Powell or even Terance Mann I don't think that will be good for the Clippers or both team tbh. I don't want to see another disaster between them and Westbrook if ever this go through. I think the current roster with Clippers right now favors to them but if Harden will be added I don't think that will be worth it. Knicks, Pelicans and Milwaukee are the rumors he might get to but we know how the Sixers GM deals and he's not that easy to be persuade when it comes to this. Harden is fit on them, it's just that they're not getting contented and likely want the easy path to join with superstars, maybe it's not the team maybe it's themselves to begin with.

Wemby is gonna take the break in the NBA summer league and will now focus on the upcoming season. This is as per the decision of his team, Spurs. Spurs decide that Victor Wembanyama’s Summer League is over after two gamesI guess this is all part of the grooming plan and he had shown enough for the summer league. The preparation for the upcoming season should be prioritized then. What's the main reason why there is Summer League? It's for the undrafted players to showcase their full potential, hoping to have a spot in the NBA roster, or even in the G-league. Wembanyama must not play in the Summer League TBH, but 2 games just to have a glimpse on what can he expect when he play in the NBA is I guess enough already. I guess he knows where to adjust after he played 2 games. Now he needs to workout, do some shooting drills, and maybe increase his body frame since we're still months before the regular season starts. It's a good decision by the management. I think they will have the first dibs in the Summer League, those who sign and most likely going to play in the NBA. And I read that there is a big hype, or at least Filipinos are waiting to see Kai Sotto to play in the Summer league? But so far he hasn't seen action and continue to be bench by the Orlando Magic. The hype is big because we all know that Filipinos are basketball crazy nation and they want to see their first man to play in the NBA. Orlando want fast phase on their gameplay and I think if Kai is there they cannot make that play this is why they decide to play small ball line up to see if their newly acquired players can give them better plays. They shouldn't get bothered about it since if Kai Sotto show some potential on their work out and practices maybe we can see him running in the floor but I guess the coaching staff didn't impress on what they see then maybe this is the reason why they decide not to use him on their first and second game on summer league. Ok so finally the kid Kai Sotto was given the chance to play, After three games in the NBA Summer League 2023, Kai Sotto finally got a taste of the big league’s preseason tournament with the Orlando Magic.
Sotto posted six points, four rebounds, three blocks and an assist in his NBA Summer League debut despite the loss.
https://sports.inquirer.net/518939/kai-sotto-finally-sees-action-for-orlando-magic-in-nba-summer-leagueSo for sure this is going to be big in the Philippines as I have said they are crazy on their basketball. And speaking of Philippines, FIBA will be held there. So another great time for basketball in the country.

This guy is just ridiculous. He chose his player option to basically stay in Philly but now he hates it AGAIN and wants to go. He had the choice to become a free agent. These clowns are having contracts they signed. How dare them requested trade after trade. There should be a rule that teams may terminate contracts if players do that. Players expect to get paid, so the team can expect performance and not some diva behaviour. 3 trade requests in 3 years, when will teams finally wake up and give him a minimum contract, he is not worth the trouble in my eyes.

If a player is creating trouble for, I honestly believe that they should not go after that player. This is just the team actually reinforcing the childish behavior of the players. If the teams decide that the player is not worth the trouble, I believe the player will eventually understand that he should also behave well to actually get a good contract. Players should also understand that even if they are great players, they should act accordingly to get a good contract from the team. I also agree that he is not worth the trouble. He is already 33 years old and he should understand that he does not have a lot of time left. He should stop behaving like this otherwise eventually he will have to pay for it.

Victor's comment sounds a bit cocky, considering he only played 2 games in the summer league. As I see it, summer league games and regular season games are completely different things, and it makes no sense to compare them. He shouldn't have said that before he experienced the regular season, especially the playoffs and crucial minutes in the NBA. A mere two games in summer league is very different from the regular season where the best players are in. I don't even think he can lift the Spurs to get a playoff spot. Not just Coach Pop, but the NBA and fans as well surely don't like it. Wait until he battles the likes of Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, etc. inside the paint.

We already see it on Lakers series where they are been dominated on rebounding so maybe they can put some guy to possible solve the issue depends on the game flow. They can still use the small ball line up but as stated its good to have another alternative if their small ball line up will not work.
No, the Lakers getting outrebounded does not happen frequently, and it's not their main problem. If we recall their performance in the playoffs, they were dominant in the paint due to their size advantage. However, their main issue was their poor shooting from the outside, particularly from the 3-point line, during the playoffs. Mostly in the playoffs but when they faced the Nuggets in the WCF, they almost lost to all factors and that became a reason why they've been swept by now the reigning champion in the league. Height wasn't really a factor inside the paint though, it's just that Anthony Davis cannot focus on his role and defend the paint because the guys outside the perimeter also needed some help as they weren't acting what needs to be done.
