Draymond Green came out today and said that he doesn’t see why the Warriors can’t win another 2 championships. I think that may be a little optimistic. I thought when they had Wiseman that they had a chance to win another one but I don’t think an old CP3 is going to put them over the top. I think they need a big man who can shoot.
I would still consider them a championship contender team. Well, Draymond should be biased with his words because he is confident in his team. Now that he has a clutch player with him, unlike Poole, who struggled in the playoffs, maybe that gives him the confidence. It's still too early, though, but I like the optimism coming from Draymond, as I know it's sincere, given his evident passion for basketball.

Kevin Porter Jr.'s career in the NBA has got to be over. His alleged attack on his girlfriend who played in the WNBA, Kysre Gondrezic has left her with a broken neck. He’ll be lucky to avoid a lengthy prison sentence in my opinion, but even if he does I would hope that the NBA never pays him another penny after this incident.
Nope. If you think his career will be over because of this one, think of what Miles Bridges did to his wife. Now look at where he is right now. He's in the NBA again with his old team, the Hornets, but now with a lower salary. Nevertheless, him and Porter Jr. has the same case, and Bridges came back in the league, so I expect that it will be the same with Porter Jr.

It will just either him not playing in the NBA for one year, or worse the NBA will just let it go without doing anything since it's out of their scope already. He might get prisoned with this one, but I don't think that his career in the NBA will be over. As long as there's a team that's interested in him, he will certainly play, and knowing how good he is playing with the Rockets, even though the team is one of the worst, but he's one of their top scorers.

Draymond Green came out today and said that he doesn’t see why the Warriors can’t win another 2 championships. I think that may be a little optimistic. As long as Curry is there, and he's surrounded by lot's of shooters, I'll agree with what he said.

Take note that they still have Coach Kerr that molded Curry to where he is right now (Coach Mark Jackson is the one who saw the potential of Curry first), and for sure he will do the same with other players. Forget about Wiseman already because they have another promising big in Jackson-Davis, and with CP3 in their team, I will not be surprised if we will see better role players right now than last season. Let's also take note what happens on the team when CP3 is in that team. Hornets, Clippers, Rockets, and the Suns. All of them improved when CP3 is there, and I see the Warriors improving as well. They have the greatest shooter of all time, and the Point God.

Words are easy to bring out from anyone's mouth, but the conclusion always depends on the outcome of the performances of each team.

He can easily say that and he has that capability since Warriors always qualified in terms of chasing the ring, they've got a good squad to compete
and for sure Green is boosting his confidence by speaking about how he sees the potential to win another title.

We never know if CP3 will click pairing with them, if he will, then we might expect GSW to reach back the finals.

The big deal is people pay $100-200 for a ticket to an NBA, parking, dinner, souvenirs, and snacks at a ball game. That's the minimum a person spends and it's per person.

Let's say I bought a ticket to Lebron play against the Warriors, AD is my fav player but he played last night so he will sit tonight. Because he's load managing I wasted my money buying my ticket to see him play. It's really a load of bullshit. These people get paid millions of dollars(paid by the fans) to play the damn game. Paid better than Doctors, Lawyers, Nurses, Teachers, and everyone else for entertaining people. They play 50% of the time. Sure, I get to see an NBA game, but I feel cheated at this point and it's not right.

Why should the owners and players be the only ones happy? IMO the fan's pay the bills in 1 way or another and those players should be there to please us, not their bank accounts for half the games.

There is a good example of it. Thank you for sharing that.
I think the NBA management already received a lot of complaints about this issue but it actually took them long before they made a move about it. The load management in the last 5 years had been too obvious and it was discussed in different social media outlets. I am sure they heard about it a lot of times and heck even Kawhi Leonard made it a part of his contract.

Draymond Green came out today and said that he doesn’t see why the Warriors can’t win another 2 championships. I think that may be a little optimistic. I agree.
Their play will be focused again with either Steph or Klay Thompson without any shooter beneath the rim and I doubt it will work because most teams now already know what they will do and Steph is not in his prime anymore, no disrespect, just stating the truth.
My eyes are set on the Sacramento Kings this year. They are a balanced team and if only Sabonis could start making progress at avoiding being fouled out every game which means better defense then, they might even go further than the first round only.

Draymond has the license to say that, as he has become a champion multiple times already. Their team might struggle a bit, but the heart of a champion is still there. I think Poole was a big factor in why they struggled last playoffs because if he had played well, probably the Warriors would have had a chance to defeat the Lakers despite playing small ball.

We are going to find out, but based on my observation, CP3 is not hard to blend well as he makes the team better every time he joins them.

Of course, Paul is not a panacea for the Warriors, and his arrival in the team doesn't guarantee them anything yet. But at the same time, Paul is still one of the best point guards, and I am more than sure that he will work well with players like Curry, Thompson, and Wiggins, and he will surely improve their performance. Given their experience, I think the Warriors will be able to compete for the title if they make the playoffs.

Draymond Green is way too advance on that statement; I know that he believes on his team and what they could do in the upcoming season but saying such things while their main line-up is growing older each day doesn't make any sense. Yes, they have a good roster but that doesn't mean that they got strong chances because the other teams in the league are improving too. We shouldn't forget that they belong in the Western Conference where it is believed to be a much harder conference and the defending champions are also in the same conference as them, saying things like that means that they are already underestimating the Nuggets.

You can't exactly ban resting, they will just list those players as injured and since the doctors are the team doctors there isn't really anything you can do about it neither. Yeah yeah I know they will definitely "do something about that too" which they say every year, but first fix the free throws and lack of defense. We complain about all-star games becoming no defense games, people just show their shooting range and all, but regular season games are not getting any better, all those amazing defenders back in the day would foul out in the first minute of the game today. Every year they they will be more careful with the fouls, and every year they give 100 fouls a game. I don't believe a thing NBA says.

You know as they say, the NBA has become too soft nowadays. The highlights of the game are mostly from the three-point area or long-range shooting. No one defends the inside as hard as the 90s, nor is there anyone even brave enough to play like that because of the current rules governing the game. I know that they are actively going against players that are 'flopping,' but I don't think it's enough of a change to bring back at least a semblance of basketball wherein defenders are actually trying to prevent the enemy team to shoot.

They might as well call this rule the Kawhi rule. I also found it interesting that they had to come up with a definition for a star player, which they defined as having made an all star team the last three years. I imagine this leaves out quite a few bigtime players, but it’s a step in the right direction. The regular season needs more people caring about it.

^^ In the end, it all comes down to money. As long as something is not damaging the income, it is not going to bother anyone too much. I bet if it was anything related to the flow of money in the NBA, it would have been “fixed” immediately. And I don’t think there is actually any way to ban resting players. If they say that those players are not injured even though the doctor says that he is, it is going to be a problem. Injuries are already a big problem in the NBA. And now they will be officially overlooking the health of a player if they say that. The press is going to have a field day if that actually happens.

I'm still wondering though what NBA meant by that, we just keep on having these speculations because the NBA wasn't specific on their details about what does it truly mean but I'm quite sure that this is just one of their ways to gain their power back and to restore their image because it was already loud enough for them to hear that the league is getting softer these days. They surely don't want that statement, that is why they are making these kinds of rules which will eventually not make any sense in the long run.

Quite debatable because the teams in the East can surely answer you for that one, plus there are some fans who are ready to argue about that Cheesy

Anyway, back to the topic, Draymond seems to be very cocky in that statement even if in reality, it is still a mystery if their line-up will indeed work out because having CP3 does indeed improve their chances but they cannot avoid the reality where he is older already and is not expected to be the Warriors ace mainly now where he is prone to injuries. If that happens, they will go back to what they originally have.

You know what the interesting thing is? I feel like if USA brings in that amazing squad, they will not be able to beat everyone with 40 points. I get that they are going to be fine, but I do not think that it will be all that simple. Lebron is older, other nations do have players who he will not be able to guard that well as well.

I think it's quite important to remember that because we are talking about a situation where it is not going to be that easy for them to score. So all in all I believe that we are not going to get that much of a good result, maybe they will get the gold medal again but not as easily as people think it will be. I feel like this is different from the redeem team period, basketball has improved.
Obviously the 10 players we see are or were great players in the NBA at 1 point in their careers, but like you said Lebron is older. Not only Lebron is older , but KD is getting older, dame very old, Kyrie old, and Draymond old. They are still valuable players on their respective teams, but youth is going to wear these old guys out.

If the US sends to Paris a lineup full of mid-30s players then it might end up in a disaster. But I guess it'll depend on the outcome of the playoffs which players are available after a grueling tough season.

Lebron James is the one calling now to join him at the Paris Olympics. It's a bit odd since he's never been in the US team in the last two Olympics which were led by Kevin Durant. Also, Jason Tatum was the second-best scorer after KD in the last Tokyo Olympics. So it's like Tatum (unless he is not playing in Paris) will be sitting on the bench to accommodate Lebron in the starting line-up.

Instead of naming their line-up as a "Redeem Team 2.0", might as well name them in advance as the exact opposite of it because sending a full roster who already on their mid 30s will not end up good. Sure there will be some hype because the names is a blockbuster hit but they cannot live up to their name specially if they will be given a less time to prepare.

Plus, it will be more intense specially if Serbia will call up Nikola Jokic to play with them. We know that they are already a dangerous team and adding Jokic to it will make them deadly as they can be.

Those players in thier 30's that would play on Team USA are still far better than the vast majority of players around the world.  Not to mention they are absolutely significantly better than players on teams that aren't even in the NBA.  Saying this will not work out well for Team USA is a misstatement IMO.  Lebron, KD, Steph might be older, but they are still FAR better than most players on the planet.

If the US wants to win the olympics, they can and will.  That will never change.

Its a shame, KPJ looked really solid with other youngins on the rockets. Its gonna be bad for him since Houston will be needing him and on rebuilding phase but they still have Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun and of course that dawg Dillon Brooks whos been in super saiyan mode on FIBAWC .

And also Fred Vanvleet and Jeff Green is solid addition for the rockets since they will be also need Veteran presence. The Rockets will be doing good next season

With all the news coming out now about incidents with the team and throwing tantrums at clubs, destroying property, etc. It’s pretty shocking that they had him on the team in the first place. He doesn’t strike me as talented enough to be a major problem to his team like that. Pretty sure we will never see him play again.

Agreed.  For a season long strategy to have all older players never works.  But for a 2-3 run, they are significantly better than throwing cam johnson, Josh hart, Bobby Portis, etc out on the court.  It's not even close.  Now the other teams might also but agreed on the talent level.

According to betting companies, the championship favorite of the 2023-24 season is Boston Celtics!
Maybe they can be this year, but it's hard to say for sure, because other teams are also favorites this year. One of my favorites is Phoenix Suns.

This year’s championship is definitely the Suns’ to lose. The only things that could stop them is injuries or lack of team chemistry. If they can stay healthy and get a full season in, I don’t see anyone stopping them.

Giannis today saying he’s going wherever the odds of him winning a championship are the best might as well have been a goodbye to Milwaukee.

According to betting companies, the championship favorite of the 2023-24 season is Boston Celtics!
Maybe they can be this year, but it's hard to say for sure, because other teams are also favorites this year. One of my favorites is Phoenix Suns.

How does it be like that when they already messed up every time also they seem like getting rust compared to the Phoenix Suns who acquired many more star players to bring them to another championship game. Maybe it is because the Boston Celtics don't have much competition in the East because the Nuggets and Lakers are in the West. that's what they are counting here.

Looks like the cracks rare starting to form in New Orleans. Brandon Ingram has said that he has no plans to sign an extension this year and after the season will start evaluating his options. Basically, he’s not going to wait around to see how the Zion experiment goes. I don’t blame him since I think Zion wants out as well.

The NEW PLAYER PARTICIPATION POLICY has been approved and official.
https://pr.nba.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/46/2023/09/NBA-Player-Participation-Policy.pdf

It looks like they have everything covered including independent medical reviews in case some teams attempts reporting fake injuries for their players.

There are plenty of reasons or qualifications to get approval for not playing but what I find most interesting is their policy on back-to-back games for star players.
Quote
2. Pre-Approved Back-to-Back Restriction: If, due to the reasons described below, a star player is unable to play in back-to-back games.

a. League-Approved Restriction for Team-Designated Back-to-Backs League approval for this restriction would be based on:
i. Age (35+ years old on opening night – October 24, 2023); or
ii. Career workload (>34,000 Regular Season + Playoff minutes or >1,000 Regular Season + Playoff games played).
News article sources say there are seven players that qualify for the above exceptions namely LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Chris Paul, James Harden, DeMar DeRozan and Mike Conley.

I guess many bettors sees the acquisition of Porzingis a good thing for the team since they now have a big three of Brown, Tatum, and now Porzingis.

TBH, it's quite surprising that the Celtics has been the favorites of some bettors to win the title where in fact, they always get defeated. Well, they're just one series win away 2 seasons ago when they reached the NBA finals, and 1 win away from clinching the NBA Finals last season if only they didn't lost to the Miami Heat. Without Grant Williams, and Marcus Smart, the defense of the team surely will drop, so I don't know how Coach Mazulla will do something about this. I just also hope that Porzingis will not get injured, and will sit for a long time in the regular season. The Celtics are tied with the Nuggets to win the title currently.

The Suns are 4th, currently tied with the Bucks to win while my team, the Warriors are 6th with +1400. I don't want to get biased, but why not many people are rooting the Warriors to win. I mean they have the greatest shooter, and arguably one of the best Point Guards of all time as well. Maybe the history of CP3 is one reason, but I'll bet for them still to win. As for the Suns, the acquisition of Beal really made them one of the favorites to win the title as well.

The once I called the "Dark Horse" team last season are now crumbling.
Well, I can't blame Ingram as well because he waited how many years for Zion to be healthy, but he can't get himself healthy. Ingram is a great asset for the Pelicans, and a great shooter as well. If he will try to find another team next season, for sure many teams will be interested in him. He just needs to play like how he played last season, and many teams who are in need of a shooting guard will definitely try to get him.

As for Zion, he still has this upcoming season to redeem himself or else, he will get traded. On the other hand, being traded sometimes is a good thing for that player.
