Anyone has seen this podcast? It's about Giannis reiterating that he might leave the Bucks to search for a team that will give him championships,

https://twitter.com/RossGeiger/status/1701592311392797006

"I'm a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I'm a winner… If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O'Brien I have to take that better situation.”

And with that, I think Giannis will leave the Bucks after this contract has ended and as what we have discussed already, might be looking for teams like the Warriors,  Grin
Not the Warriors again  Grin Grin.

Anyway, in this current era, championship are far more valuable than loyalty already. You can be loyal to a team, but the team can't be loyal to you. On the other hand, if you win a title, people will think of that even more than you being loyal to a team. TBH, it's a good choice by Giannis, and knowing how many teams will be interested in him, for sure those top teams might free up some salary cap just to get him.

As for the Warriors getting him, I just hope that it will not happen because that will just destroy the competition of the league like what happened when KD joined them.

Even if you are playing well for a team, and not being able to win trophies/championships, I don’t think the team is actually going to think that you are valuable. They were always trying to look for a better deal and a better player who might bring them the championship that they wanted. So even for a player, it is better to be ready for something like that to happen if he is not playing in the team what the team wants. And for a player of that caliber, he is definitely going to get other teams. The thing is if you are not being able to bring championships but still playing well, your own team might not be interested in you but the other teams are definitely going to be interested.

The ultimate goal of NBA teams is to win a championship, so it's not surprising that they seek the best players to increase their chances of winning. While they can still be profitable with their best players who can compete and potentially make the team better, winning a championship is a different level of achievement. Team chemistry is built over time, and players also improve, as can be seen with the Nuggets and their approach.

KD is a completely different player from Giannis, and for him to move to the Warriors, you bet there will also be a significant value of players, draft picks and what have you going the other way round too, I really can't picture Giannis in the current Warriors, I mean on paper it would seem like the scariest thing out there to be honest, but we must understand that the league has evolved a lot, Giannis addition a number of playing style away from the Warriors, and they'll have to play to the strength of Giannis too to make him very effective, he will be surrounded by instinctive shooters, and the shooter of all time too, but the amount of space Giannis need to operate to his fullest and how the Warriors switch a lot without the ball will be quite the opposite of Giannis greatest strength, he might have to settle more for defensive duties, and just become the next Jokic by creating plays because for every time he's get double or triple teamed up, with his height he can easy find the next man, and attacks the rim whenever he's not. It's going to be one hell of team, however, it's easier said than done when you consider how teams that have signed a one or two big stars to make an unnatural or non rhythmic big 3 or 4 of their own have fared these days.

Another possibility is if Giannis is willing to adjust with his salary for the sake of another title, which may be far from reality, it's more on
the money side and no longer on any pride or any title in my opinion.

But we never know if he can adjust or if Warriors are also interested in him. Maybe they will adjust or maybe they will be willing to pay
for it and also with the luxury tax obligation.

It will be tough, but we never know how or if it's possible if both camps will agree on something.

That could be another possibility, as Giannis has been very vocal about winning a championship again. With the huge amount he made during his contract with the Bucks, I think he is already satisfied. However, the feeling of retiring with multiple championships would place him in NBA history. I also believe that once he joins the Warriors, he can further improve his talent and perhaps easily win the Finals MVP every time they secure a championship.

Could be him postering too, to get the Bucks to put more around him.  I wouldn't take too much into it but if I was a Bucks fan I'd be concerned lol.  He was the best thing to happen to that franchise.  He would look great in a knick uniform:)

Since he might not get enough money from the Bucks, he went to say these words in order to put pressure on them by giving him some huge offer in order to stay on the team, he is giving them a chance to counteroffer what might he get from other teams. That's right, they need him this time and they should make him the face of the Milwaukee Bucks rather than starting from the beginning again and hoping to get the best player to bring them championship once again.

Was that really his intention? I mean, he is the best player on the team, so it's only right that the Bucks would offer him a max contract. He talked about winning a championship, not about getting more money from the team. Obviously, the Bucks would offer him everything they can just to retain him, given that he is still in his prime and their franchise player.

I think Giannis is really determined to become a Hall of Famer in the NBA. Currently, he has only won one championship, and he knows it's not enough if he wants to be in the top 10 on that list.

Seems too much to ask, I'd say. Lack of chemistry might be a problem but they can always fix that as they will have a lot of room to adjust while the season have just started but hoping that they won't be injured? Only time can tell and as far as I can remember, they are really struggling about that because they cannot skip a single season without facing any hurdles.
Last season the Phoenix Suns did not perform very well and you can see that they are still having a very hard time always winning when they meet the top teams in order to survive and reach the final.
Meanwhile the Miami Heat and Nuggets were the strongest qualifying for the final to win the title and the Nuggets won and took home the NBA trophy.

For this season it seems like the Suns will still have difficulty getting to the top with the players they have even though there are Kevin Durant, Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal who always make big contributions in every Suns game.

Quote
He already gave a sign and it will be the Milwaukee Bucks call whether they will take that lightly or not but if they cannot make this season any interesting, they better be ready when Giannis will be forcing his way.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the stars that Milwaukee has and is it true that Giannis will really leave Milwaukee to look for opportunities with another team that could potentially take him to the top and win the NBA?
If this is true perhaps Milwaukee will have a very difficult time finding a replacement player like Giannis.

Of course, especially if he were to join a team that already has star players who have won championships. In terms of individual comparison, there's no doubt that he is one of the best, and I believe there's still a significant chance that he will win a regular season MVP, in addition to the Finals MVP, once he transfers to another team.

If this is true perhaps Milwaukee will have a very difficult time finding a replacement player like Giannis.
That's their problem, just like when LeBron left the Cavaliers. The team really struggled, but we can't do anything about it.

Giannis Antetokounmpo have the credits he deserved, I think is time for him to push forward and make more accomplishments in the league. He is a brilliant NBA player and has couples of achievements in the game. It's quite unfortunate that Milwaukee can't give him the necessary accolades he deserves, rather he needs to push for an exits from the team and explore more alternatives elsewhere. There's more time for him to developed into a more prominent player and ofcourse, all clubs would want him because he's a crucial player.

He has done his job with the Bucks since he already delivered a championship. He has played 10 seasons with his current team, and I believe the management will understand his decision. They can't keep a player forever, especially if they can't provide what he wants, which is another championship. Considering the current lineup of the Bucks, I'm doubtful they will win another championship, so Giannis's decision seems justified.

Yes, although they tried to sign Middleton and Lopez to say with the Bucks, I think it will not be enough though. Not sure but maybe there are some teams that after winning their first ring, something has change inside within them and this perhaps might have happen to the Bucks.

Although Giannis got injured, they have a big chance to win vs Miami in the first round but they were upset and you can see the frustration of Giannis that he is really mad to himself for not winning that series. So it seems he was burn already and so he wanted to get out and be a winner.

He responded with what the Bucks have given him with a championship, and I think that is the most rewarding for a team to get from a player that they have developed from the start.

But I do agree that mentality of Giannis about winning, they are super competitive that a lost has hurt them and that's why they don't want to have that feeling as he explain. All he wants to do is to win, and if he cannot accomplished it in the Bucks uniform, they obviously he will have to shop around his talent and maybe work with other superstars.

That's the best option—joining other superstars will make the job easier. Lots of players have proven that already, although they were criticized, but eventually, they got accepted. So, it's not new, and fans would understand if Giannis were to do the same.

LeBron joined Wade and Bosh, while Durant joined Curry and Thompson; both have won multiple championships.

More on how Bucks will perform as Giannis is open with his statement, he wanted to win another title and it's up to the management if how they will going to bring that in terms of giving Giannis the squad that he wanted to have,

For sure this will continue regarding to what will be the next update in terms of Giannis future inside Bucks
management, maybe yes or maybe he will stay depending on what will be the negotiation between his camp
and the management of Bucks.

Giannis' desire to leave will likely depend on whether the Bucks can have any success in the next couple of seasons or not. It's worth noting that Giannis has a guaranteed contract through the end of the 24/25th season, and the 25/26th season will be a player option. With that in mind, I think Giannis will stay with the Bucks for at least two more seasons, and if they can't win another title during that time, he will likely leave the Bucks.

The desire to leave was already there. He might finish the upcoming season, but since the succeeding season will be a player option, he could use that to sign with another team and leave the Bucks. Although we can consider the outcome of the upcoming season, let's say they will win a championship, that could change his mind. But let's be realistic, can the current Bucks roster still be capable of winning a championship? I believe most of us would say no, and even bookies have rated them that way, as they aren't included in the top 3 teams that are favorites to win a championship.

There is no scenario where they keep all their good players and still get Giannis. Mathematically, their contracts wouldn't allow such a thing to happen. Warriors have 209 million dollars salary per year, that is by far first in the league, even with Celtics paying Jaylen Brown insane supermax, its still Warriors ball to conquer. The salary cap is at around 123 million, or so it was last year and I do not know how much it went up this year. It is still easy to say that they are way above that line, and paying a HUGE luxury tax as well. They do have Chris Paul now, no how they managed to make that happen, but it looks like they are paying a ton of money to him, and Wiggins as well. If they somehow trade those two, then maybe? They need to find space, and when you are over 80 millions above the salary cap, that's not easy.

Getting rid of Jordan Poole was a pretty big salary dump. Chris Paul also won’t be around too much longer and could probably be bought out for cheap if it was necessary anyway. I think they would be wise to get rid of Draymond and keep Wiggins, which might be possible since Draymond obviously wants to play with LeBron. Bottom line is that the Warriors would do whatever it takes to get Giannis if the opportunity presents itself.

That might do, overall, the Warriors is still on the pace where they will make an experimentation and if things won't work their way, I won't be surprised if they set free Draymond and Chris Paul to free up some space because either way, it's not giving the team the benefit they wanted. And more obviously, they might want to free some space so that they can have a spot for Giannis, you know, just in case the star will ask for a way out from the Bucks.

Meanwhile the Miami Heat and Nuggets were the strongest qualifying for the final to win the title and the Nuggets won and took home the NBA trophy.
The Miami Heat didn't start that strong and somehow, we didn't even expect them to reach that far because of how they started the season poorly. But they managed to turn the tides in their favor and had a good run in the post season until they faced the Nuggets in the Finals while upsetting the heavy favorites along the way, namely Bucks and Celtics.

Quote
For this season it seems like the Suns will still have difficulty getting to the top with the players they have even though there are Kevin Durant, Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal who always make big contributions in every Suns game.
Maybe yes or maybe no, either way, I think they can somehow make it work but it will be a challenge since they have a history of choking when it comes to a series game.

And there were also some speculations that Juan Toscano Anderson is back with the Warriors though. I just read it somewhere in Yahoo sports but they say when they interview Moody, they somewhat see the jersey of JTA hanging in the Warriors dug out.

If we can remember, he had a good year with the Warriors back then, him and Jordan Poole was really strong during that year. Unfortunately, he was let go of the Warriors and went to the Warriors. But if the news is true then it's a total flip as JTA is back with the team and Poole out apparently.

That might be good for Warriors if they can eliminate them just to get Giannis into their roster but I doubt that Bucks would like that offer so provably they would ask more fair deal so that their team will not end up sorry since they lost their start for this situation. But I doubt Bucks would let Giannis go easily and they do what he request since their star have big market to their team. But we might see some developments regarding in this situation once season open and how bucks perform if they can't still compete with championship maybe all speculation would provably came true.
