If Harden sits for an entire year that might end his career effectively.  He might land on another team but it's not going to be to his liking.  What contender is going to sign someone like that up and give him starter minutes.  Owners take note of this kind of stuff.  He might land on the bench of a winner or a starter for a non competitive team.  Both not to his liking.  Players act like they run the league and it will fail without them.
Harden have some couples of years to established himself to be proven a big name in NBA. Its just a matter of time for him to blend well in this league, and probably win titles. He can still developed to his best actions only if he bounced back more effectively in games and trainings, that's the only way to get him back on his feet. James Harden is not in his best form, and he doesn't attract significant bids to his sights. Ofcourse every club would want an incredible player with high ranked abilities on the court, and some random player that are no longer useful to themselves, no even up to the club's standards.

When Simmons got traded, Harden is included in the trade package. The trade package that the Clippers can give to the Sixers consists of a bunch of role players, some draft picks, and in the package, it includes Terance Mann. If I remember correctly, he's the reason why the Clippers rejected the trade. They don't want to trade him because his energy inside the court is just high.

Well, it's your opinion, but with that trade package alone, I can see already that his value decreased. Just imagine if you're a Sixer fan, you will be giving an all-star player for a bunch of role players? That alone for me is a sign that his value is decreasing already, and this is probably because of the dramas around him that happened for the past few years. I'm curious on how will Harden be a few weeks at the start of the season. Will he not play for the Sixers like he said? Will he be traded to another team, and if yes, which teams are interested in him.

Mann has good potential, and I think the Clippers will do the right thing if they don't trade him. As for Harden, we'll know his real value next offseason when he becomes a free agent. Personally, I don't think any team with established team chemistry would want to trade valuable role players for a guy who could change his mind at any time or request another trade a season later.

No, it's not certain! James Harden will be forced to play with the Sixers this year in order for him to be eligible to sign with any team in the free agency.

Harden might be lossing a value if he don't play good this season and if his numbers significantly drop.
So, he's left with no choice here but to play with the Sixers just the way he plays, otherwise he will going to have a hard time signing a good value contract.

That's fair; he cannot simply sit and dictate his terms. It's reassuring that the Sixers have learned from their past mistakes and are taking steps to prevent them from happening again. So, it's safe to assume that the 76ers, with Harden playing in a similar manner, should still be a playoff contender.

I'm sure this situation is just temporary, as the Sixers understand that a player who isn't fully devoted to their role won't be able to perform at their best. It's also safe to assume that while they aim to make it to the playoffs, they may not consider themselves a championship-caliber team.

This is a crazy image. Not to get all political with inflation, but damn.

Rawr. And they are still both alive and kicking. Cheesy

I still do not understand why Sixers didn't want to trade up Harden. It's obvious that he is not what he used to be, and he could be a lot worse if they keep on their books, and they should try to get something else for him, if it means picks that would be lovely as well. This isn't really a wrong decision neither, it's something that we could see it happening and shouldn't be really a big problem neither, they could make it work.

I believe that we are going to end up with a much better result one way or another. I hope that people could see this change a lot more over time, and Sixers finally trade him up, it should be a lot more important to get good picks, hell trade Embiid if you need to, sure he is the MVP but they are not getting anything, so they can't just try the same thing and expect a different result.
Hmm. Management issues? It seems like the curse is following Daryl Morey. Maybe they should start there.
I'd stick with Embiid but I like a good change with the 76ers roster. Tobias Harris seems like not a good pair for him but I think Tyrese Maxey is a good player to start with. I can see him having a good chemistry with Embiid but the only issue that I see with Maxey is his experience which can easily be harnessed through playing more.
Then, I'd put more shooters in their roster, a real shooter which I think will be really hard to find. I thought that player would be Furkan Korkmaz but Doc Rivers always benched him which is why he cannot show his own skills.
They lack outside players and their roster is a big proof of it. Trading Harden with some of it will be the key to their success.
It is true that those who took the leap are the teams who are in the spotlight now, Sacramento Kings is one of them. They risked so much just to get a solid roster.

$63 million during Magic Johnson's time was already a fortune compared to the current era. In the past, there weren't as many temptations to spend your money, so if a player earned a substantial amount, they could end up wealthy even after retirement. Nowadays, even with NBA players earning massive contracts, there's still a possibility that they could face financial difficulties, as seen in cases like Delonte West who became homeless.

That's how it goes; the world is evolving rapidly, and that pace of change has contributed to a decrease in our life expectancy due to the stress of modern life. This experience is something that can affect anyone, but it's especially challenging for those who receive a substantial amount of money. While that amount might seem like enough to live comfortably, poor financial management could lead to the worst possible outcome—homelessness. Interestingly, there is a player, not in the NBA, who is worth almost $1 billion with his contract. It's quite a staggering number to consider.

His past noises created against his former team cannot help him at this case so maybe he need to dominate and play at highest level so that he can demand on his freeagency and many teams will still gamble to acquire or be part on their team.

Can we expect to hear some boos from the fans? Fans tend to be highly emotional, especially when a player is a star. Even LeBron James faced hatred when he left the Cavaliers for Miami, so one can only imagine the reaction towards a player who has already expressed their intention not to play with the team anymore but is now compelled to do so to avoid legal problems.

Well the Lebron situation was different.
He is from Ohio, he was drafted by the Cavs, they "tried" to build around him. And he chose to go to a super team and did the announcement on a prime public stage,

Harden deserves to get booed by every team in the NBA the way he creates all this fuzz over the past 3 or so years. It's at a point where it's just ridiculous how he demands a trade every year. They should send his ass to China, he stated himself how he loves it there, so why not play for the Shanghai Sharks.  Grin

Kylian Mbappe Is Saudi Arabia’s $1 Billion Bet On Player Power

^ The world has changed a lot in recent times. if you just look at 30 years ago, people could actually afford a car, a house, and also his expenses with a simple 9-to-5 job. Nowadays, having a 9-to-5 job is supposed to be for broke people. And with the introduction of social media, people have access to stupid money. Those who are allowing themselves to act stupid on the Internet are actually being able to generate a huge amount of money right now. But a person who is actually doing hard work sometimes is not getting paid as much as they should. That's where all the degeneracy in this modern world is coming from. There are homeless people who are not even able to eat once a day.

Meanwhile, America is giving money to Ukraine and LGBT  community. And I am not even talking about the money that is being given to the players. But in some cases giving money to the players makes sense because they are generating money after all.

That's how you gonna teach a lesson to those players who think they are above than those owners. Harden will be oblige to play at his best because if he's not playing according to what teams like him to do for sure it can affect his career.

I do think that there will be some boos from the fans, as you have said, if a star player leaves his team, then the fans are not going to take it very lightly. Not just boos, but during Lebron James moving out of the Cavs, his jerseys have been burnt in the streets if I'm not mistaken.

Nevertheless, he come back and won a ring so everything is good now for the fans even if he is now with the Lakers. But not sure about Harden or even Dame Lillard, specially the latter, he has played many years in Portland so it's hard to see him leaved.

Speaking of Lebron though, he posted that he is hype about Vando getting back with the Los Angeles Lakers. I think he should be, as they look very solid in this season with the addition of Hayes and C Wood as well in the center position.

And it is also noted that if not for this acquisitions and trade, there are rumors within Lakers that Rob Pelinka might have been fired. So it's a good move from Rob and so we will see how the Lakers will be in this season. Going to be exciting in the West with the defending champions Nuggets and then the Lakers and Warriors as well.

More likely he's in trouble right now because his way of getting out of the team doesn't work anymore and everyone will monitor how he will play for the 76ers despite all of that. I think he really needs to stay professional and continue to positively contribute to the team even though they don't like his decision. If he stays like that forever, he won't last long because he is getting old and there are more younger players who will come to the NBA later that can easily fill his position.

Yes, we might hear them as they are emotional, but there are also times where fans appreciate the players just to be fair, but with the
way both Harden and Lillard, not sure if how they will be treated once they parted ways with their current teams.

But if there's no more joy playing with the team, it's best for the player to move and find the place where he thinks he can come out and enjoy playing.

Aside from the money, there's also brotherhood where players continue to stay with the team.

I've got a few on my mind. Denver Nuggets is still on my list but teams like the Golden State Warriors since there's CP3 and the potential of acquiring Dwight Howard as well as the rumor about Giannis wanting to go there. Who knows if the deal about Giannis could happen this season or there could be some special deal or clause that can happen between them and Bucks. Phoenix is also on my list. Actually, it's too early to say because this start is gonna be the intro of it and just like last season, there have been a lot of trades that have happened while the season was on going.

Yes its good to part ways if both the management and players is not happy. For pushing this guy to remain on their team it will just create locker room toxicity and it can affect the whole chemistry of the team so I don't really get it why Sixers and Hawks choose to retain this players while they are already leave some solid statement that they don't like to play on their current team anymore.  I think this is not all about money or brotherhood anymore since maybe there decision is based on which team can give them a ring and that gives them big pressure knowing that they don't want to end their career without acquiring a ring since this is big achievement for some players.

The team's current actions seem like they're taking chances. They're aware that they're not succeeding in what they're doing, but they haven't opted for the worst possible solution. Trading Harden for players they're not satisfied with would be equivalent to letting him play, perhaps even worse. I'm confident they're simply waiting for the right timing. As of now, with no good offers on the table, it looks like he'll continue to play.

So there's still one month before the regular season starts. I'm itching already. Who's team do you think has the best advantage next season? I haven't seen the odds yet but I am expecting the Phoenix Suns and the defending champion Denver Nuggets to lead the bookies.

The most curious team I want to see is the Boston Celtics. How do you think they fare next season without Marcus Smart, Grant Williams, etc.? Added to their line-up is the injury-prone Krisptaps Porzingis but I am really hoping he stays healthy next season. After a disappointing last season, this is the time that they need to step up. I still like their lineup and they needed the trades for a change.
I'm a bit bias when it comes to the teams since I'm a Warrior fan, so I'll pick the Warriors on this one. I know that the West is still packed with all-star players, and we saw how the tight the standings last season, but with the Warriors having a better roster right now compare to last season, I believe that they can still get a ring. The core is still there, CP3 is there, the role players are better now compare to last season. They have now the pieces that I guess needed to win a title.

As for the Celtics, their past trades means their defense will decrease significantly. Smart, and Williams are 2 of their best defenders, and they traded both of them to some players like Porzingis. Will they be better now that they changed rosters? Yes "IF", and there's an if there. If Porzingis will be healthy in most of the regular season, and capable of playing in the playoffs without getting injured then there's a chance. The chances of Celtics winning the title will also increase if Jaylen Brown will learn how to dribble using his left hand Cheesy.

Anyways, can't wait for the season to start as well. I would love to see those new acquisitions of different teams, and I can't also wait on how will Harden and Lillard be knowing that they might be playing in their old team.
