Lakers were never that great to be fair, the in-season tournament looked like the only thing they could win so that is why they tried their hardest there, while other teams saw it mostly as just a regular season game, and focused on playoffs, Lakers acted as if that was the nba championship, and that is why they won. Of course, other teams tried when it came to semi finals and finals as well, but Lakers had to win just a few games to get there, only a few wins and they were great.

I think Lebron is being left alone once again, that is what happens when he goes to a team, that is always his trouble. He builds a team, he wins something, the players who won with him gets paid a lot more in other teams, he is left with scrubs when his initial winning teammates leave for more money. It always happens to him, except maybe Miami.
can't.

Agreed.  I think after watching the in season tournament Lebron is coasting to much in the regular season.  I know at his age he can't go hard for 82.  In the past when he was young he could coast and still win but not anymore.  Last year they started too late and never made that push they needed.  They better not get too far behind or they will be fighting for the playin.

Well, the Lakers players are making it hard on themselves by performing so poorly lately. Fortunately, they still have enough time to find the reason for their defeats and improve their spot in the standings. By the way, the Lakers have been lucky so far in the fact that the win/loss difference between many teams in the middle of the Western Conference is not that big at the moment.

It's a normal team for a team to lose points against their opponents, no doubt about that. Watching the Lakers is consider no big deal. The Lakers is a top team and none of these random team will easily find it simple to defeat an elite formidable team like Lakers. They're in possession of the good big names and these players doesn't relent a bit because they know how important the club and the supporters needs them, they don't jeopardize chances and the only time they would failed to win is basically when they don't see any golden chances of winning and fatigue and critical injuries hits them really hard.

Rockets have Buck's number when it comes to games at Rockets home(Toyota center). They've beaten the bucks, 4 out of the past 5 times including tonight's win. Giannis with 48 points and 17 rebounds but it wasn't enough to get past the Rockets.

In my opinion, the Lakers are having this terrible performance year after year, but unfortunately this season they are terrible, and that is clear.
But the Lakers can still surprise everyone and I have no doubt about that, I believe, the Lakers will still get a seed in the playoffs of this season.

I think if they wanted to make a comeback, they need to change something and this could mean that they go and trade as early as today so that they can salvage their season and not wait for the trade deadline.

Yes, I was thinking to beat on the Bucks after the second half, to cut the lead of the Rockets, unfortunately, I wasn't able to pull the trigger as the phone is acting weird and I can't login or giving me this weird error.

Anyhow, it was a big game for Giannis but they left the Rockets gets comfortable and established a huge lead early.

We should remember that Lakers is no easy team and they are also in this situation last season so there's no doubt that they can still able to make it and get some spot on playoffs. To many Lakers fans are still hopeful that they can see a same Lakers last year especially if Lebron is healthy also AD so they just need to be consistent and be their on their crucial games since if AD or either Bron will be out of the picture then provably that will be the end of Lakers for their playoffs run this season.

I know to many people are doubtful on current condition of Lakers right now but they need to think that Lakers still a championship contender so for sure they will do more better performance since for sure they don't like to be on bad position since many people look forward for them to compete on playoffs.

They need to prove that they are a championship contender because what they are seeing now is not a good sign. Actually, they played better when Westbrook was traded, so most likely that's what they need now, they have to trade a player to acquire some fresh talents and still continue running with their system.

They are in a struggling situation now, but the coach probably isn't the main reason as he has proven himself last season when the Lakers went to the WCF.

Perhaps we have to be patient, if we are a true fan, supporting them now is what the Lakers need, instead of criticizing them.

Was quite surprised to hear that the Nuggets lost to the Magic today.
Haven't been watching much of the NBA ever since the New Years. There has been some good games and with San Antonio's Wembly not getting the ball as much from his teammates which I didn't know was a problem.

Doesn't seem like he is gelling with them as much as most though he had been. But it shows in their record as they have had loss after loss recently.

Will be getting into these games more and more as the year gets back into the swing of things after the holidays are over for them now.
I think Wemby is doing good with his team. But because he is in restricted 24 minutes per game which is why his stats are not soaring that high. It's understandable though because his health is the Spurs' main priority rather than showing all his talents against opponents. This is a big investment for the Spurs and building him up is better because there are more years to come for him. For now, gaining experience in every game should be enough.
I checked Giannis' body build in his younger years and it's almost the same as Wemby's. I think he will need more Carbo if he is aiming to have a big body in the years to come, just like Giannis.

2 consecutive losses now for the 76ers. They played undermanned without Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid. Because of this, Nikola Jokic is going further away in statistics comparison against him in the race for Kia Season MVP. Jokic might take his throne back as he only missed 1 game this season if I am not mistaken. Fingers crossed that he will keep his attendance almost perfect because he is always entertaining to watch.

Another upset today is the Bucks losing against the Rockets. Alperen Şengün with another double double and so is Giannis. But the difference came from distance shots. The Bucks seem to be having a hard time finding their rhythm in the 3 point shots.
And another highlight pass coming from Şengün. Nasty behind-the-back pass to an open Jabari Smith!

We can call it an upset but Rockets is a decent team this season. I don't know, but it seems to me that Lilllard hasn't played his best basketball yet. Giannis was consistently carrying the team and that's what we don't want to see for the Bucks.

Lillard had 18 points only from 5-16 shooting, and I would call it a poor performance for a high paid star player like him.
Giannis had a very positive numbers but he can't beat the whole Rockets team which we can see move the ball well. 6 points with double digit score, that's hard to beat.

I read that Draymond Green has been reinstated after serving a 12 game suspension. Thoughts on his rather short suspension? The punishment seems too light to me considering the fact that his last altercation was recent and that he has a history of violent or dirty plays. I guess it helps that he's with the team that won multiple championships in the last 10 years.

The chemistry between Alperen Şengün and Jabari Smith Jr. is pretty good. Uncle Jeff Green made extra stats when he gets more playing time. Rockets made 20 points difference in first half but Bucks tried to catch up in second half. Giannis had another big game with 48 points, but it wasn't enough for the win. Bucks couldn't play the ending well. They missed too many shots. Well deserved win for Rockets.

Ever since they won the in-season tournament, they're now 2-8 I think, and currently at the 11th spot.
The team that many expected to be at the top of the West is now fighting for a spot again in the playoffs.

I don't know but it seems that the Lakers already ran out of gas since that tournament. I don't know what's the problem with the whole team, but some rumors are saying that there's a problem between Coach Ham and his players. I don't know if it's true, but I will not be surprised if Le-GM will use his GM skills again to make a trade or worse, change the coach. I just hope that whatever is happening with the team, they will resolve it as quick as possible, and start from scratch again to win some games.

I guess it's enough time to serve his punishment.

I mean he lost a significant amount of money already because of this suspension, and I believe that we will see a different Draymond Green from now on. I don't know what will be the changes, but I expect significant changes in how he plays. I just hope that his energy inside the court is still there, but no technicals or worse, ejections.

What is happening with the Hawks? i dont understand why they are performing this bad, they have and excelent teams with top players in all the key positions, and Trae Young still in there, what is the problem with them? Im not following so much this year the games so i cant see them to analyze.

I just read an article that said the Minnesota Timberwolves were looking for possible trade candidates to move Kat...  That seems insane to me.  I get that he hasn't exactly gelled with Ant, but the team is finally winning games and performing as expected.  It seems insane to me that they would move the piece they built the team around.  I guess you never know what exactly is happening in the locker room but I think any team would be lucky to have Kat.

Rockets have Buck's number when it comes to games at Rockets home(Toyota center). They've beaten the bucks, 4 out of the past 5 times including tonight's win. Giannis with 48 points and 17 rebounds but it wasn't enough to get past the Rockets.
Surprising thing is that Rockets had a quite good defense and stopped everyone except Giannis, which is natural that they can't stop him. Lillard had a very bad night also, it was just one of those days, he shot very bad. And it was a good Rockets win. Alperen Sengun was the top scorer but actually he shot bricks. Especially in the first quarter. But almost everyone contributed in Rockets and with their defense, they managed to get the win. It is a good sign for them to win against Bucks when Brooks was injured. Now they are going on a 6 away games on the east. Their performance in this will show us how tough they can get, but I expect it to be hard for them.

Alperen Şengün is the basketball player whose star shines the most this year. His performance improves every match, he plays incredibly well. He managed to play without fear even against Giannis, which is a tremendous thing for a player of his age and inexperience.
He makes a pass that will be featured in the highlights every week, and he has videos that are constantly shared on the official accounts of the NBA. He is also a very likeable player. I hope we can watch him as an all star, he really deserved it this year.
Votes for Şengün! Smiley

I just set up my alarm to see Lakers vs Clippers because LA derby is heating up more than ever lately and with Clippers being hot in the last games , I kinda expect them to win tonight but it should be a close one.

I would have also watched Mavs vs Wolves as this should be a show with a lot of points even if Luka will not play...

Cavs almost blew a big lead, that was close. Big man Wemby did everything, even blocked the last shot. They shouldn't try shooting at that second anyway. Haha, what a chaos in last seconds. Imagine Sochan scores the long range shot buzzer beater. It was fun to watch though.
I still don't get how Spurs and Pistons tank so much when they have good players. They should at least win a couple games but they try to lose all. Smiley

Don't forget to vote for All-Star today. Votes count 3x.

I quickly picked Dončić, SGA, Jokić, Durant and Şengün for the West and Cunningham, Haliburton, Embiid, Tatum and Randle for the East.
I've already casted my vote and some were just the players that I like to see and be pat of this all star. I've also voted for Cade because IMHO, he deserve it.

You know what's more deserving for Cade? He deserves to be with another team. Being on that team is a waste of talent. I can't even remember when was the last time the Pistons win a playoff game or they can't barely make it to the playoffs and the last time the Pistons have actually had a good roster is in 2004 when they have the Wallaces, Billups, Rip Hamilton, & Tayshaun Prince. After that, the Pistons have never had a chance to redeem themselves for 20 years now. They actually gotten worse now lol. I hope the kid could find a way to be out of this team asap.

On the other hand, the Lakers have lost again against the Grizzlies and they are now entering the worst stage of their season again just like last season. I'm surprised Darvin still being the head coach lol.
Yeah, I couldn't agree more with that. But how long he is tied with the Pistons for his contract as he's the one to draft him right? I want him to get more playing time and recognition for what he's doing. I guess this is what the fans can do for him and his team as a favor, to vote for him and be part of the star. Well, about the old roster of Pistons, they're one of the best honestly and a very good contender to the other strong teams on that era.

For sure they're going to be gone and won't be able to reach the playoffs and won't advance anymore even if having a wild card, that's very unlikely and they're just going to look forward to the next season. I remember this type of struggle happened to the teams like Golden State Warriors and Lakers. They've been in the pit and hole that's so deep that most of their fans are still hopeful for them but not for the actual season but passing it on the next season to come.
