Buddy Hield could have almost easily won it, he started the final round really poorly, he missed the first 7 shots If I recall correctly, but still came pretty close to winning it. I guess the contest was just a complete interpretation of how Buddy Hield can get during games, he  sometimes just can miss during games, and the next thing you see his him struggling to even one shot to fall.

The three-point shooting was really unpredictable. In the first round, Herro almost got eliminated, and in the final round, he nearly lost because it was such a close battle. Maybe it's just his luck,  it's also good that he went first, so there was less pressure on him. And as for the betting odds, IIRC he was at x8, so those who trusted him to win scored big.

Right, Hero got a lucky break in the finals when Hield suddenly went cold in the first rack. But still Hero did his job being the first shooter in the finals, no pressure just trying to get all his shots there.

As for the format, yeah, it really sucks big time that's why I was not surprised by the ratings of viewerships of the NBA All-Star going down every year. And probably the era of went we grow up watching the All-Star was gone. But still plenty of time for NBA commissioner Adam Silver to bring back the old format next year.

I want the format to change and I'm writing my suggestions on every platform. The following must definitely be included: The game should be 48 minutes long. A game ending at 40 points is unacceptable and makes no sense. Today, Alperen played only 2 minutes and the whole of Türkiye wanted to watch him at 4 AM. If the game had at least ended at 100 points, every player would have received enough playing time.

Players should wear their own team jerseys in either light or dark colors based on the side. I've been saying this for a long time. The court should look like it did in the 2000's. It should be East vs. West. Some suggest USA vs. Rest of the World, but I don't find that very reasonable. For fair distribution, an East vs. West game is the best option.

There is no problem with both teams scoring 200 points, as long as the players put in some defensive effort. It's necessary to prevent situations where opponents are left wide open for dunks or taking three-pointers from half-court on every possession. Other than that, I see no issue with high scores.
How many memorable dunks were there tonight? Zero. How many back-and-forth shooting duels like in the past? Zero. There was almost nothing entertaining. The game ended before the players even started sweating. Kevin Hart's jokes were weak as well.
BTW Tatum should've been the MVP but they gave it to Curry just because the event was in GSW's place.

It's possible to organize a much better event. There is no need for such ridiculous formats. I'm sure there won't be a 40-point game format like this next year. They will realize their mistake.

Didn't watch the All star since I know it will be a boring game. I will just sleep on my couch watching that boring game just like what happen for past all start game.

If they didn't make it more entertaining and somehow challenging to watch for sure that people will slowly don't watch their upcoming events. They are so scared their star players will get injured in this match and that make them lousy to watch. Maybe better for them to listen what their fans like to happen since if they always act like this and implement some crazy decisions maybe their ratings might go down for more.

Another bad all-star weekend. I don't know if it's getting worse or if I'm just getting old, it really sucked. Maybe the three-point contest was close to its old standards, but overall the all-star game has become an organization that gets worse every year. The players are reluctant, the old fun all-star spirit is almost gone, the events take precedence over the basketball, the breaks are too long. There are many other reasons that prevent an enjoyable experience. So I think there is an overall decline in the quality of the all-star week. I think competitiveness is something that can be solved with a little support. They need to encourage the players, but as it is, it's never a fun setup. As for Alperen, it's a disgrace that he only played 19 seconds and they've done similar things before.

I think the new format is very bad. No, I don't like his team or that team either.

Whoever designed that all star game nonsense is not a fan of basketball. Even in the highlight videos on youtube I didn't see any highlight actually. What a disgrace for this sport.
Also, did they actually thought we want to see 3 low energy games that end after 40 points? What were they thinking? How can they make it worse from last year? I am in shock actually, I didn't expect it to be THAT bad. But the NBA is always "good" for surprises.

Sadly, This is how NBA All Star looks like now ever since they remove real competition from East and West teams. Most All Star players don’t even play D since the game is not prestigious anymore and no bearing at all.

This also the product of choosing an ALL Star that is pure attack offensive position. I think they change the format next year and draft All Star players per role such as 2 set of the roles and put some prize on it that makes player eager to win.

I have never imagined myself agreeing with Draymond Green on anything, but dude is correct on this one. NBA is trying to do many changes to make the game exciting again, they are trying to do many new stuff at all-stars over the years, the regular season cup, the play-in spot for 9th and 10th teams and so forth. But none of them would make it entertaining to watch again like 10+ years ago or before.

Because, we are just watching teams chuck up threes over each other, which doesn't really require too much defense, and because of that it's really not that entertaining. Back in the day, we would see teams drive inside, and if you had good offense, you would score, if the other side had better defense, they would prevent you, and that was the game, both side did something. Nowadays, it just feels like every team should pick someone, and take turns shooting from the logo and call it a game, it's boring.

That's what I see too. He was the most consistent, he didn't score much in the first round, but in the second round, he just managed enough to stay in the game, and surprisingly, he won the competition. I guess 3-point shooting is full of surprises, unless Curry participates, because then it's likely he'll win the competition.

I get where is he coming from but it seems lately dray is just doing and saying things for clicks as he becomes more amd more irrelevent.  Im not looking forward to when he retires.  Someone is going to hire him amd he is going to be annoying to listen too.  Imagine him and steven a smith on a talk show together lol.

I would not like to watch that. It will be like two people just shouting at each other without making any sense of what they are talking and they will keep on trying to go first and try to increase their voice volume to say they are the winner. They are both talkative when there's a camera in front of them.

Well, truly that was a short All-Star game. 40 points. They made it like streetball. The only problem is that the NBA today is an offensive type of league. They lack playing defense in the regular season, what more in the All-Star? Did Adam Silver really think they will now play defense just because he changed the format? No way! That's what they are used to and they don't want to get hurt in an event where they should only have fun.

It's not that boring, it's better than last year but making the total score that low didn't help at all. I bet they are going to change it again next year.

 True enough, We need the old ALLstar game with tough defense and all players are giving what they got to have the day enjoyable to fans.
Add  the issue of MVP today. Its tgrue that the game got more exciting when Steph shoots 3, but it Tatum to had a better stat.

It seems they are only protecting their business interest by not making their popular players get tired and away from injuries and can't blame other people to get angry or got dismayed with what they see on All star game.

We supposed to see some exciting games from them since they are the best players on each team they represent. But turn out to be another shit show which people don't like what's happening in that game. If the continue to act like that and didn't listen to the bad opinions of people, then provably  we might gonna see another boring all star game.

Hopefully they read those sentiments of people then try to see what improvements they can do next year. But guess there's nothing we can do as the game is already over maybe better to move on then focus on their upcoming games.

What a bad allstar match we watched. It's like they're trying to make it worse every year. Is anyone actually enjoying this match? We watched an event that ended in a very short time and was not enjoyable to watch at all. I had high expectations but it was a complete disappointment.
Alperen Şengün did not get as much time as he deserved, I would have liked to watch him for much longer. It would be great to see some nice assists and dunks

Sometimes you need things to get much worse before it gets any better. The new system was terrible obviously, not only the teams and such part was terrible, but also the fact that we have seen the whole Kevin Hart thing, everyone hated that and everyone was disgruntled about it too.

The players were literally telling Kevin Hart to shut up basically, like I can sort of understand commentators talking about players behind their back while the game is going on, but giving that feed directly to the players while the game is being played? Lebron was out from the start the moment he learned the new situation. But at least we got something out of this, we know that this isn't going to be working, and we are going to go back to old ways soon.
