Bitcoin without Altcoin ?

i think its difficult bitcoin without altcoin. a lot of bitcoin user get bitcoin from altcoin that make bitcoin getting stronger.

The altcoins had allowed some people to easy scam the bitcoin community with their ico, and with their shitty coins, there are something like 400 crypto coins and maybe 40 of them are really traded, from this 40 we do have 10 premium altcoins, meaning coins with potencial and high interest and high volume daily. I dont believe this were introduced into people and then they find bitcoin, but well, it could had happen, but besides what some currencies are making thats handle the issues bitcoin does have now, without altcoins i believe the bitcoin would be soo much required to find solutions, altcoins are making pression to bitcoin upgrades.

They just run successfully upon the technology which keeps bitcoin the leader of cryptocurrencies. So both are mutually needed for growth, still everything cannot be successful as bitcoin.

I agree , Other devs is just creating a shit coin to earn their own profit . Thats why we should see the plans of the devs before we are investing on altcoins ICO , Holding a worth coin is good , Its more even good if the coin Hits its highest price.

It clearly shows that how much good knowledge you are having in Altcoin section or else we can say that you are been hit by the scam coins as without getting full knowledge about the coin you just invest in that coin on rumours. No, those alt coins doesn't even have something to do for bitcoins success. Bitcoin became successful all of the sudden when those early adopters found out that it can used as a medium of transactions. And those alt coins that came out just copy cat the idea of bitcoin because many developers saw the potential of crypto currency which bitcoin is the original source of it.

Wrong. Altcoin's company has introduced a lot of people to bitcoins. Without them, bitcoin wouldn't be as successful as it is right now. I know that altcoins are just a copy of bitcoins and people mainly just use altcoins to earn even more bitcoins, but that's okay. The gist is that every new member of the altcoin community is eventually a new member of the bitcoin community. The introduction of altcoins is one of the key to reach mass adoption. I've never seen someone promoting bitcoins but I've seen tons of people promoting a certain altcoin.

Bitcoin might already have become recognized even without altcoins but that recognition wouldn't push forward if it wasn't because of the help of altcoins. The bitcoin success would be much slower without altcoins.

In that case I would like you to counter my opinion, why I believe altcoins are useless except for trading purpose:

Altcoins of turn out to be stagnant, non-changing in price in other words "dead" and left by developers until a fork is delivered by some other developer. They also turn out to be scam projects at times.

Now many people have been introduced to bitcoin after altcoin promotions - just like you said in your message - then they have a first preference to the altcoin than bitcoin - next the altcoin turn dead or scam. The investors now think bitcoin to also be a scam project and brand it as scam too.

This may not seem realistic but has happened in many local communities where people were promoting altcoins, one of which I was once a part of.

Bitcoin has already its amazing grow, that makes several people believe some altoin one day can do similiar as bitcoin, even not being at the same level as bitcoin, lets say some altcoin breaks the 100 dollars or 300 dollars, this is possible, and there are good coins at the moment with potencial to make it. Some people when saw the first steps of bitcoin dump turned their bitcoins into altcoins, and well if they were fast and lucky enought to choose they are making well since almost all altcoins are on the green zone, recovering from the bitcoin last value off 1100 dollars.

They more fast but not good for long term investment, most of them are just manipulated by big bag holders and we cannot rely that for our future. It's good for day traders or compete gamblers.

bitcoin is so popular that other cryptocurrency have to wait at least 5 years taking position like bitcoin. it is hugely used in western country than any altcoin.so you see there is hardly any effect on bitcoin if there other  altcoin or not.

As I see it, the altcoin board is pretty popular because:
- There's a lot of spam going on in there,
- Trolls live there,
- A lot of negative trust users are there,
- Insubstantial posters are all there,
- Altcoin campaigns forces you to post there,
- and most importantly there's a lot of altcoins

Regardless, all of them are also bitcoin users although a good part of them don't post that much on other boards other than the altcoin board.

beside that, without altcoin, we only can trade bitcon with fiat and its hard to make a big money but if we doing trade bitcoin with altcoin, then we can make a big money because we know that for some altcoin, there is always get a big jump in the price so we can getting much of profit.

Well yeah I think the same thing too, if there were no other altcoins except bitcoin, then bitcoin would not have grown like what we see today. I mean bitcoin would not have anything to compare and compete with, and although the number bitcoin users might increase because there were nothing besides bitcoin, bitcoin would keep staying at the same level and we would never know how strong it is. It's like what's the point of entering a competition if you are the only competitor.

Bitcoin is prime currency of cryptomarket. So Without altcoin bitcoin might not be so popular even demanding. But Bitcoin is pioneer of crypto currencies. So we must have to respect bitcoin first.

There are many new altcoins are there in world based on different algorithm with different values. And all coins evaluated in BTC, just because its master currency.

Currently there Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin etc markets too. But for fiat currency finally currency have to deal with bitcoin.
