Bitcoin is the origin and the core so I think it will be very fine without altcoin since it is the main, Altcoins in the other way won't actually exist without bitcoin since it is the main and gets the media coverage.
Not to mention their fundings are reliant on btc like the ICOs since the exchanges are using bitcoin as the gateway to crypto currency. |

Yes, it will be better to say that all other crypto currencies are because of bitcoin and bitcoin is not because of other crypto currencies. Other crypto currencies came into being after they noticed the success of bitcoin. It do not affect the bitcoin as bitcoin can bitterly stand alone as it was in the start.
Today if we talks honestly about altcoins, behind curtains is only need for more btcs, and all that fancy talks even signatures and graphic in OP everything leads you to invest your btcs in their scam.. Cast exceptions. |

Bitcoin might have not reached such a state if there is no altcoin to compete with it. Now altcoin is growing high which will soon make bitcoins grow.
If altcoin is helping bitcoin to reach high then why altcoin is not on number 1, and then why bitcoin is No.1. So if we look and the adoption and demand of people towards crypto currency then it is more inclined to bitcoin. Bitcoin itself is enough to gain its success. |

Every alt is paired on exchanges only with BTC, this can tell you who is in charge here.
But ok there is still lot of room for many good coins and this diversity is healthy for bitcoin and for users.
They can choose which technology is best for them, if they want fast transaction or anonymous or they
want some other services..

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?
bitcoin without altcoin,its not good for bitcoin,because so many developer from altcoin started from bitcoin knowledge,and this is make bitcoin have more expert who concern and give more atention to bitcoin,just it what i think. |

uhmm i must admit that i can not agree with you, altcoins can be really bad for bitcoins because there are some very popular such as ethereum that people start buying instead of btc.
Ethereum is just a long time awaited PnD scheme. All those redistributed bitcoins will be safe don't worry. And those who are ready to believe in such stories such is ETH - "bitcoin replacement", deserve what will happen. |

bitcoin is very strong currency and helping other alt-coin to maintain. not other alcoin supporting bitcoin.bitcoin without altcoin will be fine. but some altcoin also take their place and very strong and being so famous every day. like dogecoin, lite coin and dash/dark.

Altcoin without bitcoin is like salt with no meal, don't go together at all, Having bitcoin without altcoins would be very reasonable and was the case for years until litecoin was first introduced.

Bitcoin is the core and the main online digital currency now IMO, it's the real core and the origin, therefore I think bitcoin can exist easily without other altcoins while altcoins can not exist completely without bitcoins imo.

Alts are good for spreading awareness how blockchain is good technology.
They are good for trading and sometime you can use them when you transferring small units of BTCs,
you can pay smaller fee and you can finish transaction even faster..
This diversity is good.

Only due to the competence bitcoin has reached such a extend. Well in terms of innovation bitcoin has stayed the same. But in terms of price bitcoin have taken a real bitcoin. But I don't see any altcoin these day can compete with bitcoin. None of them have the weight bitcoin has. |

I have to agree, the only usefull altcoins are the ones which can make trully anonymous transactions, but there are plans to include confidental transactions or even some form of coinjoin to Bitcoin, so the need for altcoins is basically zero in near future. But speculators can continue play their games, but altcoin as a usefull widely accepted coin everywhere - I highly doubt it. |

We need only best coins and there is big money..Non stop reviving and over and over again without common sense.

Sadly though, we live in a free world where competitors thrive and strive to take down the guy on top. ETH may actually take down btc. |
