This is child's play, compared to what happened with Dash after 2 june 2014.It went 14 bucks, then it just went down to almost 1$, for months and months.Imagine how bad people that bought at the top freaked out and went depressive/ sold with major loss, and then imagine how bad they feel now when they see Dash is almost 150$ and how much they could've made if they wouldn't have sold it.

So, just hodl for now

The bull market that we are in, charts does not mean anything as who's who coins are getting investor attention but this.

Bitcoin was $900 a little over a month ago. Litecoin was under $5 recently, after having been north of $40. DASH, as has been pointed out repeatedly, shot up to $14, then down to $1, at the same stage of its lifecycle as PIVX. Please, stop acting like every coin has to increase in value 24/7. In the real world, it takes decades for investments to come to fruition. Even in crypto, it takes years. Don't buy anything 'because it was going up'; buy it because you believe in the project. And if you believe in a project that hasn't even begun to release its key features yet, be patient (or go invest somewhere else for a while and come back later if you want; just quit complaining).

When PIVX was 'discovered' a couple of months ago, the 'because it was going up' feeding frenzy made its price skyrocket, just like when DASH went to $14 the first time. In both cases, the new price reflected an optimistic sense of potential and not the actual features of the respective coins at that moment. IMO, both $2 PIVX and $14 DASH were overvalued at that time. PIVX is probably 'really' worth somewhere under $1 for now, just like DASH was worth < $5 for a long time. In both cases a feeding frenzy created unreasonable expectations that the price would keep rising, when really the peak price was premature. In the past few months, PIVX has gone from $0.01, to $2, and now back to $0.90-1.00. How you feel about that depends a lot on how justifiable you think that $2 price was. But focussing on the peak price blinds people to the underlying value. For my own part, I am perfectly happy with an increase from $0.01 to $0.90 (or $0.70 or $0.50) in a few months, for a project that hasn't even released its main features yet.

One other thing: In the last few months the price of BTC has gone from $900 to $2400. Any discussion of PIVX's rise and fall would be much better considered in $$ than in BTC.

They tried to push it into poloniex exchange and got rejected. someone from the inside knows it for sure, he is the one selling.
That's what I believe.

Very upset with the investment.
they could just release something to the crowd here, at least we could decide what to do with it.

I think PIVX is a bad coin for trading right now, but PIVX is a good coin for medium and long term investment.
I will keep my PIVX coin for a longer period ..

I guess I will keep. Atm its the biggest disappointment of my crypto-carrier and the only coin where I had real losses and my judgement proved me very wrong on this one. I bought far too expensive and too much. Now I lost so much already that I can even wait this out much longer and see what happens to my 5000 PIVX. Even if it takes some years, I will not sell it now.

Short term, don't hold your breath. I wouldn't expect to get back above $1 for a while. Long term (like 6 months +), yes, it will come back up, and probably more than 'a little'. No one on the inside of this coin is selling; do your research, and look at this thread over the past 1.5 years if you have any doubts about the Devs and longterm holders. If you decide to sell, you will find plenty of buyers interested in increasing their holdings.

And what do you want them to release, exactly? They have provided plenty of updates, and if you want even more, Slack is very active. This coin has stuck to its roadmap since the beginning. They have delivered on their promises up to now, and given us no reason to doubt they will continue to do so. Good work takes time; it's the Devs' job to ensure the coin's longterm success, not make up 'fake news' to convince weak hands to hang around. The Devs didn't ask for the price to be driven up above $2 at this early stage, but it happened. Regardless, their priorities are, and should be, to stick to the roadmap rather than worry about maintaining an arbitrary $-value in the short term.

Ultimately, you referred to PIVX as 'an investment'. Investments go up and down, and their true value is only determined at the scale of years. If you are unwilling to exercise patience, whether with PIVX or any other investment, you are going to lose money.

its really a fortune tellers way now, we can't say what will be the next downfall or if there's any resistance to avoid much bigger loses, but like what a traders should do, move on and forget about this for a while and hold your coin time will come and everything will back to its way up. good luck
