Bitcoin price projections for 2016

The projections for this year have been somewhat realistic following the previous year’s price fluctuations. At the time, the possibility of one Bitcoin being worth $1 million was not considered impossible, but now more than 60 percent of the community believe this is unrealistic.
WedbushAmerican securities firm Wedbush recently released a report speculating about the Bitcoin price in 2016. The report claimed that due to cryptocurrency’s potential to cut costs, its demand and use is increasing in the e-commerce, remittance and micropayments industries.
The report predicts that, in future years, Bitcoin will be able to cut down online payment fees from three to eight percent to less than 0.5 percent, while also reducing the cost of remittances from five to 10 percent to less than one percent.
Wedbush estimates that the Bitcoin price will hover around 400 dollars in 2016. The major reasoning behind their claim is the belief in Bitcoin’s ability to take over financial payments such as remittances and online payments.

The company speculates that by 2025 Bitcoin will amount to 10 percent of all online payments, 20 percent of the remittance market and 20 percent of the micropayments market. They concluded that the Bitcoin network will account for almost $596 billion in the financial market.

This makes not much sense to me. I mean on the hand they see what big potential Bitcoin can have in these markets (e-commerce, remittances, micropayments) especially regarding costs and fees. And then on the other hand they predict imo a very very low and conservative price of $400. If it will happen that costs will be reduced that much because of Bitcoin, I bet my butt that we will see a way higher BTC price. Don't forget that halving will take place around august where the reward for mining blocks will be cut in half down to 12,5.

IMO I see bitcoin price increasing to the level of around $1000 in the coming year, BTC adoption and use is increasing and many other investor are going it and putting funding and not the same amount of sellers so the demand is increasing with less offering specially with all the bitcoins that are out of circulation (lost or confiscated etc...).

sure hope to see this coming i think we will se price over 2k and then price will go down after halving around 500$ and that will be stable price for some time

I guess you're believing what happened when bitcoin hits $1200. There are lot of possibilities to hit 2k levels around the event of halving but expecting $500 levels after that is meaningless. I believe it will end up around 10k levels for a stable price in next one year time period.

How can you even predict this thing? This is still some speculation, I dont even know what is this bitcoin is based on. Just manipulation of a big whale in doing thing. But I do hope it will sure rise so more people will know bitcoin and people start to use it in the future

What are the future projections for Bitcoin?

I think we'll beat 1000$ / BTC once again in the coming 5 years. In 2016 we will see the price moving more, not as stable as the previous year. You can find the price chart here: https://blockchain.info/charts/market-price?timespan=all&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

We all want bitcoin to do well. If we didn't want it to do so, we wouldn't be here. Bitcoin is special, and it has alot of potential. I think bitcoin will last at least 5 more years.

I see a very positive future for Bitcoin. Let's ignore the current news about Islamic State being funded by Bitcoin, as it IS can be funded by anything, not just Bitcoin. Anyways, Bitcoin is being taken up by more businesses and more people are using Bitcoin. This would drive the price up, and the media would go bonkers, further increasing the number of users. I believe Bitcoin will pass the $1,000 USD per Bitcoin mark in the future.

I have said this before, and I'll say it again:  bitcoin, unless it gets made simple to use by ordinary, tech-unsavvy people, is going to forever be a tool of criminals and problem-gambler tech nerds.  I think it's a really neat idea, but I'm not a techie and a lot of it is confusing to me.

And unless it provides a significant advantage over cash, businesses won't want or need to accept it.

And it goes without saying that if these things are true for bitcoin, altcoins won't stand a chance.

As per you mentioning, once bitcoin is loaded with debit-card, it becomes same as a fiat. No difference at all in using it at merchants as well as online.
So, bitcoin is already in well known format for daily need and usage.
I believe bitcoin is simple system to understand and use.

In a couple of years Western Union and all those similar payment procesors will go bankrupt because you will be hard pressed to find anyone that wants to pay the big fee they ask for when you can simply send the transaction with BTC overseas and instantly. BTC will be king of remittances for sure.

I have to agree on that. The current way of sending or receiving money/coins is just too difficult for most people. So they will not try/use it.
It's hard to get why but it's just the way it is.

New things can be innovating but if you can't reach the masses there is no future for it.

The price might go to $1500 just before halving. It will drop to $1000 after the halving. it will then rise from there with low volatility.

Might go to 1500 dollar maybe, but that is 5% chance that it will happen.
Before halving I just think around 700 dollars.

I believe bitcoin will only go up if it goes back down it is able to bounce back up. Even if it does go back down I wouldn't mind that either. I wouldn't lose much on profits. I'm hoping that bitcoin will hit $1000 sometime next year.
