It is an optional upgrade, you can continue to use your current software if you wish. Upgrading is simple, you just need to run the new executable instead of your old. As with any upgrade, it is advisable to make a backup of your wallet.dat file prior.

Version 1.6 has many cosmetic improvements, the most notable of which are the enhancements to staking for charity. Now there is a staking for charity icon beside your staking icon you are already familiar with.




It lights up when you are actively staking for charity.


Making the visual indication easily viewable no matter where you are in the wallet. Also, the staking for charity navigation button has been moved into the main navigation making the controls for staking for charity accessible, again, no matter where you are in the wallet.



Overall, version 1.6 is a much more user-friendly implementation of staking for charity. Other small visual improvements, error reporting and such, have been included to make staking for charity as simple and easy to understand as possible.

Version 1.6 also includes new checkpoints to help insure the consistency of the EverGreenCoin blockchain.

I hope the new features are found usable and helpful by the EverGreenCoin community.

Looks good - I'll upgrade to the new version tomorrow. The price is back to > 1000 and seems to have stabilised a bit, but still a pretty decent volume. Great to see the amount of charity staking is increasing =)
