Bittrex staff has informed me they have successfully upgraded to EverGreenCoin version 1.5.0.1.

C-Cex as well.

EDIT: C-Cex is still in maintenance. They must be performing a reconciliation still.

Bittrex is confirmed. Happy trading!

Great, is it just yobit to go now? Their wallet is reported to be offline - block height there is 892449 - dont have access to my wallet so can't see if they are on the new chain or still on the old one...

Only Bittrex has been confirmed at this time. So, cryptopia, c-cex, and yobit have not been confirmed.

By 'confirmed' I mean their wallet has been upgraded, brought out of any maintenance mode, and verified by sending and receiving. Do not send or try to receive from an exchange until you see an announcement that the exchange has been confirmed to be on the proper blockchain and is operational.

Sorry if any of my posts were misleading. Just because they have 'upgraded' does not mean they have removed any maintenence mode, resynced if they need to, performed any internal reconciliation, and been tested.

I suspect that means they're still on the old wallet version and on the old chain. That's the current height on the old version and that chain is now very slow. That block was generated over an hour ago. The previous block was around 3 hours before that one.

Frosty, a community member that spends more time watching and trading on the markets than I, informed me a lot of 'alt'coins are taking a beating.

Presumably from BTC's price, as often is the case.

Fortunately, EverGreenCoin is one of the few not in the 'red', highlighted here from Bittrex.

Be careful with yobit, as they sometimes don't update wallets and sellout coins on old chains....

The Old wallets are not able to send any Coins anymore. They must upgrade to sell something and on the old chain is not possible anyway.

Thats just bots or people trading coins already there. Mostly it looks like bots adjusting to price on other exchanges.

Deposits are off, and withdrawals seems to be on the old wallet. (but that was also the case at bittrex-status until they opened the new on.. its just pointing to the old daemon)

edit:
You could also trade coins on bittrex while their wallet was disabled.. this does not affect their holding.

I'm speculatively buying a few coins on there too from my sig earnings if the price drops more - just in case the closed/isolated wallet causes a rally. I was lucky with that a couple of times this month with some other coins on yobit. Pure speculation though - I already moved 75% of my yobit stock out.

Well, the price of EGC has been tanking down for the last months, so not being more in red for a day or so, is not really a good news, to be fair. Let's see if the price can get first above 1500 sat on a stable basis, it seems we are struggling to get there.

I today finally recieved the last components, the voltage regulators, to get the EverGreenCoin Foundation's balance staking and sending faucet payouts via solar power.

Faucet goers, if you see random payouts over the weekend, it most likely is me celebrating that achievment.

One of the things that hardfork has let me do is test the stuff I've added in the Solar Staker interface to check the local block chain

From a wallet that was intentionally left on the old version (with no coins)

That's showing a few things.
  • At the top there are some warnings the second of which was sent out to the old network informing them they needed to upgrade. This should also have shown up in the desktop wallet as well.
  • In the block check list there are two blue checks. These are where the block didn't exist on the block explorer at the time of checking.
  • There's one orange check in the block check list. This is a block where the local hash doesn't match the explorers hash.

These block checks are an automated version of what's had to be done manually to check you're on the right block chain.

There's still a bit of work to do here, The blocks are only checked once so the state could change (especially in terms of blocks were the wallet is ahead of the explorer).

I've also done a lot of work on how to automate the initial setup of the software and how it can be updated which seems to be working for some of the components now.

There's still some work to do in the web interface and deploying that to the staking device but progress is being made.

It's hopefully getting towards a point I can do some useful solar testing here (Due to location I can't do much from home in winter and I've not had a strong desire to spend hours standing around in the cold to test stuff.

The price is looking very good (for buyers) right now on bittrex, we have hit sub 1k for the first time since June - I've bought a few and will transfer some additional funds in.

Sending the first solar powered EGC Foundation faucet payouts now! If you were entered, you do not need to enter again today. You will still be included in the 'real' payout at about midnight eastern standard time. I just wanted to do it via solar, now that I have the Foundation's balance on a solar powered device. I will snap some pictures of this beta setup and post them later today. It is not the physically prettiest of setups at this stage, but the idea living and breathing is beautiful to see from my vantage point. Many thanks to all of the community that have helped and are helping to bring the EverGreenCoin Solar Staker to life.

On another note, Bow has sold his first EverGreenCoin tree on the marketplace. I see he just recently added another. Joe (grumpytiger) has also added some items. If anyone else wishes to, please just apply to be a vendor at the 'sellers dashboard' from within the marketplace and we will get you setup. There are no real restrictions on items other than, yes items must be 'legal' and items people might find offensive would not be allowed.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

EDIT: 'Applying to be a vendor' entails, checking a checkbox and clicking submit. Not a very lengthy application at all. Wink

Here is the EverGreenCoin Foundation's balance new home. As you can see, it is very much still a work in progress and I did go a bit overboard with the components, but I wanted to be sure to overshoot rather than under and know it would be up and running. Of course, as we get closer to a finalized parts list, a proper enclosure will be designed. Again, thanks to everyone who is contributing to the EverGreenCoin Solar Staker project!
