First time user of BitInstant and got the "Failed verification too often - giving up" message three days ago. Emailed about the issue numerous times and still have not got a reply. Need this resolved ASAP and below is my information:

I think the problem is the amount after subtract fee have 4 decimal places when vouchx only support 2 decimal places.

When a person chooses the Pay To: Bitcoin Address, there is no response later (before the cash transaction at the retail location) that presents that Bitcoin address back to that person placing the order.

I would have expected to see the Bitcoin Address in the "Quote for Cash transaction", where it shows "Destination exchange   Bitcoin Address" for instance.

Let's say I had some malware where whenever I copy a bitcoin address to the clipboard the malware substitutes that with the malware author (attacker)'s address. So if that were the case, I would have pasted an address but wouldn't know it wasn't the one I had copied just seconds earlier.   I wouldn't be able to know that it wasn't BitInstant that had just swapped out the address for some other address.   At least if the Bitcoin address were on that Quote printout, I would know that it was something fishy on my end.

How long does it take for bitcoin to e-mail?  It's been about 12 hours since Yankee said it was processed.  I haven't received an e-mail from BitInstant or Coinapult.  I've checked my Spam folder and all that. This is the first time I've done bitcoin to e-mail, so I'm not sure what to expect here.  Anyone else have experience with this?

If you're passionate you should also contribute to other Bitinstant scam threads and keep them active so new buyers are aware of the risks.


Now for me,

I've been robbed by Bitinstant too. They have declared my transaction as executed and never transferred the funds (see:blockchain).

Bitinstant customer support is ignoring me, and I'm pissed.

It sounds like they couldn't have afforded to give me the coins I purchased even if they wanted to. Alas, they didnt want to and they lied instead.

I don't take this kind of hit and run business lightly. I don't see any real excuse for claiming to have paid me when you absolutely didn't.

Excuse me, do not make up lies an spread FUD about our company. This is obviously false and your making a stupid forum account to flame us. Go away.

We process every order and do not rob anyone.

How dare you say crap like that when its obviously not true. You don't know the situation and that this customer transferred the funds to someone else's account and that person has taken the funds. Our TOS clearly state that we are not responsibly for an error when you send someone money, Bitcoin is irreversible.

If you have an order that was not processed, PM me the order ID and it will be taken care of.

How long does it take for bitcoin to e-mail?  It's been about 12 hours since Yankee said it was processed.  I haven't received an e-mail from BitInstant or Coinapult.  I've checked my Spam folder and all that. This is the first time I've done bitcoin to e-mail, so I'm not sure what to expect here.  Anyone else have experience with this?
