The new database is a substantial improvement over the previous version performance-wise, both for intial block download and RPCs, and improves how blockchain consensus rules are organized. As such, this is obviously something Decred wants from a performance and code improvement perspective, but it is also a prerequisite for syncing new code from btcd. This database upgrade is an enormous change set, at +22,685 / -9,155 lines of code, and touches consensus rules, so extra care must be taken with this upgrade. I made staking machine on raspberry pi 3 and raspbian jessie. Syncing witch blockchain took 5 days. Will see how it works.

Is it worth buying some DCR now or wait a little longer? It's always worth buying DCR. I picked up some more at these levels... and at .0022, .0023, .0025. Fundamentally, there really is nothing that compares to Decred and what it is trying to achieve. One day.. sooner than you think... DCR will be a massive DAO. The community can push this project in whatever direction it needs to go to be successful, and the funding will always be present. Put the pieces together. To build a mansion, you need a damn good foundation. Make sure to check out the Decred forums and the roadmap I posted a few posts back. |

My point was, if you believe in project and invest it in long term it makes you investor. But in any case if you sell higher than you bought it is profit after all. |

Decred's gunna go up! And already did... Look at the market cap since the launch!
People just don't get Decred yet! It's coming soon. About the premined coins, I'm not worry about it. Most of the airdrop is still there waiting for more development to be made.
And the Devs are actually paying for RfPs then no worries about the serious of this project!
Decred is the only bank to empower the stakeholders at those interest rates (+35%/year)
