Just always think of it as a good sign then it will generate positive vibes.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

How many coins would I need to get a a POS one 1 decred a day ?
1 Decred a day means 0.54 extracted tickets every day (one ticket reward is atm 1.85 DCR). 0.54 extracted tickets every day means 16 extracted tickets every month. For 16 tickets to be extracted every month you need to possess 32 tickets (on average 50% of tickets are extracted the first month). Now comes the hard part; "how many coins would i need to get that many tickets"? It depends on the PoS ticket price, which is not fixed and increases/decreases in relation to ticket demand. Average ticket price in the pool is 9.28 DCR (which is imo a very good price), but let's say you get them for 11 DCR, tx included. You'll need 350 DCR.

When gui wallet become available. Price will increase.
i doubt, pos miners are dumping, for free because they earn coin for free no reason to hold I'm a PoS miner and I haven't sold 1 single coin nor do I intend to in the foreseeable future Why do you people make a scene each time the price drops a bit ? Fluctuation is normal. I have never seen a stock or a currency that only rose and never dropped? So, first was airdopper, now pos miner. Every time a new excuse for price dropping. From near 0.007 to 0.004 Maybe is just lack of interest and people moved forward? Lessons: Investor will not buy on dump. First trade rule. Investors need to see a pump and they jump in. Look ETH.....when price started to pump from 0.002 to 0.007 it cause a massive entry from investors, not early. A coin where price start to rise makes news and FOMO. So, for future of dcr price need to be back stable @ 0.007 Stop to say within 6 months or 1 year. Price is what is now, not within 6 months. And i don't see people interested in buy dcr. Sad but true. Lessons: Investor will not buy on dump. First trade rule. Investors need to see a pump and they jump in If real investors (( wales )) believe that this coin have a potencial they will make everything to buy at the lowest price ......IMHO--PERIOD

You want at least 100 tickets in the pool I think. So 800 to 1000 dcr and catch a good ticket adjust. You should get around 2 votes a day I think. How many coins would I need to get a a POS one 1 decred a day ?
2 vote a day is 3.6 decred, so almost 0.016 per day with 1k decred

has anyone noticed any difference in hash rate for AMD cards between cg and sg miner? also wondering if there's anything i can put into my config to get a little more out of an hd 5750? i get an avg of 330mh/s with the default flags. i also read that hash rates are better on linux vs windows was wondering if its worth my time to replace windows with ubuntu? and finally has anyone noticed any difference between sgminer 32/64 bit for ati cards?

The guys who are working on RFP-4 are almost sorted. I'm putting their work into a dedicated documentation system that will be hosted at https://docs.decred.org. Open-source, of course, and that will help people getting involved as well. It's nothing too fancy, just detailed information on how to do various tasks.

is it just me, or are the pool earnings somewhat off.... 7ghs should roughly average between 6.2-8.47 DCR a day, with difficulty counted for as well. but i am lucky to see 6 dcr on a good day and as low as 4.6 on a normal day......

It's all right. difficuly is encreasing. Better to buy instead of mining at current price. Variance? Affects big as well as little pools (though more severe for the latter ofc). Not all pools are born equal though... I think that some perform consistently better than others. If you think that payouts are systematically off, maybe try switching to another pool?

This development dispatch covers work completed since the Decred v0.0.9 release from April 1st, 2016. Since then, developers have merged 11 pull requests of code into 2 software repositories. During this period, a total of 11 commits occurred in these repositories and represent modifications to the effect of 1,810 lines of code added to and 566 lines removed from the codebase. A series of RFP milestones were achieved and paid for from the development subsidy. Deliverables from the milestones will begin appearing in the Decred ecosystem in the future. These include: - Creation of a draft design of two views (68c733b) and subsequently all remaining views with icons for Paymetheus in RFP-1 (c89c056, da7dc15)
- Completion of wallet documentation, stake mining documentation, and network parameter and introductory explanation documentation for the Decred software in RFP-4 (784985d)
- Publishing of the source code for improvements to ccminer and the NVIDIA kernel (f940503), improvements to cgminer and the AMD kernel, and fixing high CPU usage when running cgminer (c51f811)
Binaries: https://github.com/decred/decred-release/releases/tag/v0.0.10dcrd- Introduced a new utility which can be used to test transactions to determine whether or not they have inputs that trace back to the original c0/dev bring-up funds (100-fcaaa94)
- Added new JSON handling for wallet commands (accountaddressindex, accountfetchaddresses, accountsyncaddressindex, getwalletinfo), getmasterpubkey now takes an account argument, and a new daemon command livetickets has been added to dump hashes for all live tickets in the live ticket stake database (102-5658c50)
- Updated versioning (101-1517aaa)
dcrwallet- Added stake txscript types in ListUnspent to ensure they are flagged as spendable (151-976f14e)
- Fixed an issue that could cause address desyncing and address reuse (158-8c46cb7)
- Fixed issues that affected synchronization of the address pools on start up. New RPC commands have been added to help simplify and clarify address pool index synchronization (accountaddressindex, accountfetchaddresses, accountsyncaddressindex), getaddressesbyaccount has been corrected so that it now returns only up to the addresses used by the address pool, and walletinfo to check the global state of the wallet (161-fb01141)
- Fixed an issue where failed transactions due to the namespaces bucket being missing would cause deadlocks (163-29efe24)
- Fixed an issue where the password was prompted for on a new watching-only wallet start up (164-93eaee4)
- Updated testing (155-e7ad238), documentation (165-f1d9bd6), and versioning (159-113d1f4)
