I think it's time to start supporting p2p type exchange architectures like the ngccc (colored coins) Project... they need help and I bet money helps, too.

We can't complain if we don't help.

Colored coins cannot replace an actual stock exchange. The point was made in January.

Phew. I read through "problems" 0 through 4.

Didn't convince me. You'll probably accuse me of ignorance, stupidity or something else and I couldn't care less.

I had to stop reading at "problem 4"... where the "grandiose master" accuses whoever is on the receiving end of this mindless rant of... wait for it: "incredible arrogance".

the quotes are from the linked article, go read it guys, it's priceless. ah fuck it, I'll quote it:

Problem 4 : Permeating all the foregoing and sufficiently so to become a problem in its own right is the incredible arrogance of the recently liberated corporate slaveboisxi working as independent coders. Seriously, start working on the BTC securities trade system of the future without ever having worked for MPEx, without having humbly presented your inept ideas to the most grandiose master Mircea Popescu (ie, me), without anything like that ? O, why, because you’re a special little trainflake of brilliance and genius who can ? Really ?

So having worked for mpex is a precondition to be allowed to code a securities exchange now? Maybe you should tell the IBM that fact.

I can see this is obviously not about any "problems" with the feasability of p2p exchanges (which I neither deny nor affirm here, also I don't attack MPEX technology here, it's a sound system as far as I can tell)

48 hrs since I tried to make a withdrawal from weexchange... Still, no response, and no deposit to my btc address...

You need to raise a ticket and then wait for it to be processed. They are going through now but a few days behind.

What do you mean "raise a ticket"?

WeExchange verification requests are still being looked at if and when there is time not being spent towards other important problems such as getting users their bitcoins.
This is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed and resolved fully as soon as possible.

I agree.

Thank you for your understanding in this.

quite frankly this is hard to understand. why is it hard for you to sign bitcoin transactions and push them to the net? It has worked before automatically, why did it stop working and you have to do everything manually now?

Have had an outgoing transaction stuck under reserves for more than five days, for something that used to work well this is taking an awful long time to fix.

As I have written multiple places and times.
It is not hard to sign a bitcoin transaction. The issue is the bitcoind program locking up.

They're welcome to learn it the hard way, like the rest of you. Why's IBM so special anyway? They're not even in the WoT.

I thank the guy who brought this quote up because the first time I read that garbled mesh of nonsense I barely made it past "problem 2".

I cant tell if Mircea Popescu is serious or just trolling at this point.
