trying to sync the new wallet; replaced nodes in .conf, deleted (after saving a copy) peers.dat. everything ~loaded ok, (bal incorrect -30%) connected for a while, (bal mostly restored) but zero active connections for a while now

Groggin you may need to delete everything in roaming/fly except for wallet.dat and flycoin.conf and resync. Doesnt take long.

Vegas

 thanks, -zapwallettxes=1 did the trick

Join the party! Smiley I lost 2 days of staking for the same reason.

Well, this is a long term project, so I guess we better get used to the changes, because like Vegas said: this was never tried before in crypto.

I can help you to restore/recover your wallet or password.

You never lose coins that are in the correct block chain.
When a coin forks, the stakes you gain when on the wrong fork are lost.

However, you are receiving a fixed % POS return, so when you get back
on the correct fork, the input blocks that staked are older (since on the
correct chain they never staked. When they do stake, you will get
more coins due to more age.

That said 5 coins seems like a lot. Check your Coin Control and see if they
coin age is higher now. If you still feel like you lost coins that will not be
replaced by stakes on the correct fork, PM me your address and I will stake
to you to make it up.

This was a very interesting input from you to explain, how staking works!

It's jesters like this that make this coin/team stand out. It's not very often that you hear something like this in crypto.

Good stuff Woody!!

After installing v1.90 and performing all the suggested fixes everything worked perfectly last night.  Although, today when I opened my wallet it seems to be stuck on block 200 something.

As I said, last night I was on the correct block and all was well.

Any thoughts?

Suggestion:
Close wallet, make a shortcut on the desktop, go to properties for shortcut (right  click),
add -zapwallettxes=1, restart wallet. If that does not work close, delete roaming except wallet.dat
and .conf files and re-start. After done - remember to remove zap command from properties or delete
shortcut if you normally do not use it.

It happened to me twice today. I noticed the wallet being stuck at some blocks, so I re-started it and that solves it. Then, after a couple of minutes, it got stuck again, so I re-started it again, and looks like it's fine now. (That happened like 8 hours ago)

I can help you to restore/recover your wallet or password.

OK so it sounds like you did not lose age on your blocks.
With an age of 50+ days you might want to consider (after you stake)
combining your blocks into larger blocks so you stake a little faster.

That said - PM me your wallet and I will send a few FLY by airmail to you.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
Use my method as 2nd choice.

Ok then you got it..

The superblocks are poppin, and paying nicely!!!

*Notice the special icons when they hit Smiley

This is Vegas, come get some!!

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

OK Carlo.
Close. Delete all in roaming, Make sure your .conf file has the 2 new nodes
First 2 necessary - 2nd 2 may give more connections
  addnode=167.114.224.79
  addnode=167.114.224.82
  addnode=2.90.244.174:41568
  addnode=81.169.137.12:41568
Re-name wallet.dat to something else like wallet.dat.coins
Re-download new wallet.
Start new wallet and let it re-synch completely (it will not take long)
Delete wallet.dat (new and empty)
Re-name wallet.dat.coins to wallet.dat
Re-start wallet from shortcut with -zapwallet=1 in shortcut command and report back
