The Future is Bright for Lisk

Last night, one of our advisors officially resigned from his position on the Board of Advisors for the Lisk Foundation. We (Max and Oliver) would like to begin this post by thanking our former advisor, Charles Hoskinson, for the sage advice and counsel he provided us over these past few months.

We would like to also use this opportunity to update the community on the positive relationship between Lisk and its Board of Advisors, an important circle of influencers and leaders who will continue to provide us with wisdom and experience.

Our views on advisors

We believe there are two types of advisors: active and passive. Active advisors constantly contact the management board and advise as they see fit. Passive advisors wait until the management board asks for advice, for the time being they therefore stay silent. We are lucky to have advisors who have taken an active role in providing us with counsel, even during the times when we made a conscious decision to go in a different direction.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Thanks for the quick sharing @Poly#Crypto

This is a good statement. And nice to know that the team perceives criticism, in particular to the communication.

And a very good point:
We’ve always maintained a strategy with our employees, freelancers and contributors to ensure they’re not misused or misappropriated for hype.
We will treat our advisory board the same way.

We’re currently in the middle of significant change — and it’s been a change for good. Our legal structure is complete and running smoothly, our team is coming together, a positive company culture is being formed, we are working together with important contractors, we’re constantly streamlining our internal and external communications, and our development moves faster than ever before while our products increasingly become better and better.

Thanks to Max and Oliver and the whole Lisk Team!

If a company holds assets totalling < 13000btc how can it be valued > 8200btc? Am I an idiot or is everyone else an idiot?

Yes you're an idiot.... read the latest financial statement before posting total non sense.

The market expects that they will burn the money with zero results. Your equation would make sense if this would be a usual stock market company and the stockholders could vote for a dividend and payout the assets. But that's not how it works.

inflation is too high.
delegates reward is too high.
voting power is too concentrated.
price is too low.
development is too slow.
CEO lacks necessary experience, and displays a worrying complacency.
PR is amateurish.
the fund may even be too big. where's the 'hunger' for success when you can string out a project "for years to come" and live a comfortable life in Berlin without producing a finished product that turns a profit?

yea :

"We’re currently in the middle of significant change "

Hahaha over year they are in middle of change...
In 2nd year a end they will hire developers after BTC pump to hold more for them.
This is nice tactic  Roll Eyes

yea that sentence:

"for years to come"

is like slap in face of investors from DEV
I really like Lisk concept but...

We all have different views.
Personally I don't think you can judge what it means to build up such a project.
It is always easy to sit in front of the computer and criticize, but to do something like this is quite a different matter.

It took almost two years for Ethereum to realease their first wallet... and they have already liquidated the foundation... lack of funds they said... 🤔 https://www.easymonitoring.ch/handelsregister/ethereum-switzerland-gmbh-1172550

Objectively, LiskHQ has still all its funds and have accomplished quite a bit in less than 1 years. Well done LiskHQ, keep up the good work 😀👍

And it would be better the other way around.
In the early years, in an empty net - small flue gas emission.
And then, as you add applications - increased.
But who is interested in it?
I'm not talking about that the flue gas emission finite number.

I also think heir there are different visions.
Personally I think a decreasing inflation is better.
If we speculate for the end of the second year: SDK works, apps are developed -> the interest and the demand increases. A rising inflation would then be counterproductive, a sinking is a support.

My personal view. You are welcome to post your views...

The big issue for Lisk is that they are competing in a field in cryptocurrencies (namely Dapps) that is already dominated by one big (and very successful) Player. If you need your time, no problem, but then better be an innovator that brings something completely new to the market and not something that others have done years ago.

You see, when Ethereum needed years to accomplish their goal, there was no other version of this idea around. And for sure no version that dominated the market in a way that Ethereum is just now.

Exactly, Lisk is the mean team which only hires a few devs, how can they compare it with Ethereum, the second best project in crypto community? Ethereum never thinks Lisk as the competitor, Lisk is just a toy compared with sophisticated Eth.

Objectively, LiskHQ has still all its funds and have accomplished quite a bit in less than 1 years. Well done LiskHQ, keep up the good work 😀👍

the problem here is always comparing a 2-fanboy team to a mega dev community.

Exactly, Lisk is the mean team which only hires a few devs, how can they compare it with Ethereum, the second best project in crypto community? Ethereum never thinks Lisk as the competitor, Lisk is just a toy compared with sophisticated Eth.

But nobody from the Lisk Team has ever equated with Ethereum.

What is Lisk? And what it isn’t!

And the normal supporter and connoisseur of Lisk would certainly not.
