PoW vs DPoS:
Contrary to popular belief, 101 single-purpose servers are far more decentralized than thousands of miners lumped on a few mining pools;
not to mention the fact that with PoW, you have an ongoing arms race to become the most powerful miner,
leading to an ever increasing energy consumption of the whole network bottlenecked through these pools.
The Lisk Network has no such difficulty adjustments, and is extremely eco-friendly.
Every pool is just 1 server in the network, not a bottleneck.

But what about the sidechains when Lisk projects are released? How to secure them?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

In POW paying for electricity, in DPOS paying for infinite inflation and a large amount of new forged tokens(3,15M new forged lsk in per year with almost free cost price). How you can save money in DPOS? I don't see any advantages in DPOS with such inflation.

DPoS pays for it self, don't need more and more money/power every day to mine same amount of coins. It helps to build community, also makes less sell pressure on markets because it needs voters.

While PoW is direct opposite  Smiley

Private key generation on Lisk; are we affected by the latest Bitcore issues?

Yesterday, on February, the 23rd 2017 and approximately one year ago, on February, the 25th 2016 issues were raised regarding the bitcore-js library, which investigated private key generation across different platforms.

A 12-word mnemonic passphrase is used to generate a key pair, which consists of both a private and public key, which can represent an account within Lisk (or Bitcoin). The bitcore-js library provides the necessary functionalities to generate this key pair out of the mnemonic passphrase... Continue Reading

I just took the time to revised my votes and un-voted many current delegates that, I believe, are "non do'ers" for Lisk.
Either they don't have a proper Delegate proposal thread on the Lisk forum, or are just -maintaining a node-, or are there -just because they were there at the beginining-.

I'm inviting everyone to also do that work and review their current votes.

I still believe that a split of around 40% pools and 60% Lisk do-ers is an healthy ratio of votes to have.
We already have a pools list posted every each days, but lack totally of a list of actual peeps dev'ing and building on Lisk.

I'm currently reviewing the delegates proposals to give some votes.  if you can reply here or pm me for some recommendations,  i'll appreciate.
thanks.

Looks like someone starting Lisk  pump on BitreX right now Cheesy
Impossible to deposit and withdraw from Poloniex

Deposit and withdraw not closed for me. But please be careful with poloniex at the time.
I highly recommend testing with a small amount before deposit a larger LSK amount.

Another note:
Each user should quickly change his password on Poloniex and enable 2FA.

So you are wasting space here to tell the community that you revised your votes and we should do the same as you?

Nobody cares who YOU vote for or unvote.

The last time I checked, I could vote whomever I wanted and I dont need a LiskShillBoy telling me how I should vote.

I bought these coins and I will vote for whomever I please.

So stop wasting my time.

one redeeming quality about this project is that it's not a scam.

max may be junior and inexperienced, but he's not a scammer and is credible.

but really, needs to step up the game and develop strong team for me to invest.

Why does the lisk team keep going back around to changing DPoS?

The current system works as it was designed to work.

The Lisk Team should be working 100% on getting that SDK rebuilt as thats the only thing that will pull this turd of a coin out of it's death spiral.

Yes man, you're right. Need to focus on SDK, this is the most important problem. All tired of waiting. After that solving problems with inflation and DPOS.

Inflation is not a real problem. The inflation at ETH is much higher I think. Also not the rewards, because those are reduced by 1 LSK each year.
Pools are a matter for voters. If people want pools, then they vote for it. If not then not.

The real main eye should be the development (Core, SDK).

This project could have been a winner with the right management.  They knew the SDK was crap months ago, but did nothing.

It has yet to be "changed" since the first lisk implementation, and the SDK is exactly what is being worked on
